My post was a follow up to the original poster, the tickets are on the ticket exchange.

Not practical, they're season tickets and I wouldn't be able to get them to you. They are Itchen Block 7, Row Q, Seats 170 & 171

bear in mind that I am travelling from Portsmouth Harbour, but we are going via Southampton, there are 4 of us travelling and the cost to ech ofus is £33.65. We will be buying on the day or nearer to departure. Our tickets will be 4 day returns (with railcard) from Portsmouth to Reading, 4 dayreturns (with railcard) from Reading to Banbury and a groupsave 4 from Banbury to The Hawthorns. We will change trains at Southampton and Banbury. Th train from Banbury goes to Birmingham Snow Hill. There is a direct train from Snow Hill to The Hawthorns. Best place to work out fares is from the National Rail Journey Planner site. Split journey tickets often work out cheaper than single ticket journeys although not always, for instance, it is cheaper for me to buy a single ticket from Portsmouth to Norwich and back than any other way (and believe me I have tried many combinations!). Train tickets can be bought up to12 weeks in advance of travel, although obvoiusly this is not always practical (thanks Sky). Tickets get really expensive in the four weeks leading up to travel. They tend to stay the same price from 10 weeks before travel to 5 weeks before travel. Hope this helps.

Ditto. Can't see this being a classic either. Still I'm sure that it will sell in the thousands (at least according to SFC Pravda).

Have Stoke tickets been received by post yet?
Mister Neil replied to VectisSaint's topic in The Saints
Mine came through several days ago. -
I'm still waiting too. I even emailed the ticket office to check as I've had three lots of tickets go missing. Such a shame that they couldn't find the time to reply.

Barracuda Bar, 42 Albert Road Middlesbrough. It's virtually empty and Carlsberg is only £1.65 a pint. No problem getting in with away shirts on.

It's a method of getting an additional 20% of the value of the ticket - and in Poopey's case they actually get to keep it!

If you book through Southwest Trains website, for some unknown reason it won't give you the Groupsave Four (or Three) discount price every time. You should be able to buy on the day of travel from the ticket office (ask for a Groupsave Four to South Bermondsey). It should also be possible to buy a group save ticket prior to travel just remember to tell the ticket staff what day you are going. I have no idea if there are any other ticket deals for folks from the Southampton area, there certainly isn't from here on the Island. Your fare should be £63.40 for four travelling together (£15.85 each). http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/service/timesandfares/Southampton/SBM/170312/0945/dep/170312/1730/dep

Following on from other clubs are getting it, this is taken from the Saturday's programme at Leeds (in an article written by Neil Winston); POMPEY PUNISHMENT OVERDUE Football's finances have again been very much in the news over the last three weeks, particularly the events at Ibrox and Portsmouth. The shennanigans at Fratton Park over the last decade has seen Portsmouth FC "taking the proverbial" and for me they have long lost the right tp collective sympathy from within the game over their current plight. I first went to Fratton Park in 1986 - the last time, incidentally, that we won there in a league fixture - and since then, other than the obligatory installation of seating, and a cheap roof over the away end, two periods in the top tier have seen them spend next to nothing on what was and still is one of the worst grounds in the entire Football League. The suggestion on the media that Portsmouth have some of the loyalis fans around always makes me laugh. A tattooed bloke with a bell and the inane "Pompey Chimes" are about as good as it gets. Their home attendances and paltry away followings put them well behind may of their peers. I'm sure todays visitors will join me in hoping that the authorities come down hard on a club that has transgressed on too many occasions. One way or another, the next Pompey-Saints fixture could be a long time following the end of this season.

You just did! - Although I understand what you mean

Thanks for that - still didn't have enough to cover the taxi fare though.
-
I was on that train too. As a matter of interest was there any bother getting back? We turned round because we were told that there was no guarantee of getting the trains running again - and we had to get back to the Isle of Wight.

I was at the ticket office on Saturday to pick up my bus passes. We also had 1 more ticket to pick up from the second ballot although no email had been received. They wouldn't let us have the ticket. I explained that we live on the Isle of Wight and that we would not be coming over to Southampton again during the week. They said that the ticket office would be open on Sunday to pick up the pass. We even said "Are you sure?" and the reply was "Yes".
