Cortese has said that he wants Saints to be known for their attacking style. I think he didn't like the up and down long ball style of Pardew. I didn't like it either. One reason that Adkins was hired was surely to implement the passing style of football. Saints are learning to play the passing game. Pardew didn't want to play that way. IMHO that i why he was sacked.
