So the skates at St Mary's then

Skates at home of course. If they’re in the draw that’s the only side a proper Sotonian should want Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Chapel Kop massive here, don't know how to do the pictures but this is what it said "Been there done that, now you're retired and want to watch the game in peace. Happy to clap along to a few songs, or join in Oh When The Saints, but the days of standing and belting it out are long behind you."

Don't know why but this feels like the right place to put this, saw it on social media today and it gave me a laugh http://www.quiz-maker.com/Q2NO32R

Saints voice are a pointless joke. A bunch of people that “represent” a tiny minority of our support, are happy grassing on their own and include a guy that looks like he should introduce himself to the neighbours when he moves house Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That post is excellent. Absolutely spot on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Southampton FC exists so i don't have to call myself an alcoholic

Are they not inspired by the wall of colour they see from all the replica shirts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks like they haven't left the building completely if this article on the Ugly is anything to go by https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/51458/the-itchen-north-is-arising

Roger f*cking Milford. Even all these years after that name still raises a rage inside me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Adrian f*cking Heath. Honestly thought we were going to win the cup that season.

Love the theory but if you've ever been to Goodison you'll know it's one of the worst grounds for noise in the league, most games it's a morgue and even challenges the plastic selfie takers across the park for how bad it is.
-
So basically due to the FA's outdated ideas of football fans they've come up with a half ars*d solution that's going to cause maximum grief for season ticket holders at almost every ground in the country?

Boston away would be a laugh if they make it through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Skates at home, we did them four nil at theirs and we'd do them by more at home. Failing that away at a ground i've not been to.

how did you jump to a conclusion that they were leave voting when they never tweeted about politics?
-
If only someone had mentioned this ages ago...

To be honest that twitter account was needed, our support was f*cking awful away from home for a while and Spurs was the nadir of it. The sad thing is that in league one and the championship our support had real soul and wasn't noddy at all, but the promotion back to the premier league seemed to suddenly attract a type of fan that looked like they'd run through the club shop covered in super glue, and was happy to stand in silence at games or only sing Oh When The Saints (or Yellows). Having a group to put the boot up the a*se of that support was needed, and it seemed to have made a difference. The support at Arsenal away was some of the best i can remember at the Emirates for a long time, and the Itchen North seems to have kicked on a gear now too. No matter what people think about Dortmund's "yellow wall" that kind of thing just doesn't happen here, if you have an end full of people in replica shirts they're more likely to look like this https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/resources/images/3353054/?type=responsive-gallery than the yellow wall. Like it or not (and many don't) the replica shirt wearers tend to be the more placid, more polite, support in this country. In Germany it's different, they're noisier and more rowdy, here it's the type that'll sit down when a steward asks, take the bus to games and unpack tupperware containers at half time.

We'll get something from Watford and Norwich, i'd go for 4 points from those two. We never beat Newcastle away so that'll be a loss, West Ham are in poor form but too physical for us, though i think we can nick a point, Villa and Chelsea will beat us away and i think we can beat Palace. So 8 points best case scenario for me.

I've read some utter b*llocks as conspiracy theories on here in the past but this one takes the biscuit -
Singing at football is crass and the behaviour of oiks. We should bring back ripples of applause clackers and comedy oversized badges. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lots of us were slagging our support a few games ago, but yesterday was the best i've heard us at Arsenal in years, lots of lads, far lower percentage of bingo bus types, noise throughout and proper limbs when the goals went in. Absolute chalk and cheese compared to the Spurs game. Feels like that saints away block thing is making a difference, noticed the committee account has gone from twitter too, shame as they were helping get people going too, anyone know what's happened?

So all the matters is winning? The fact that the football club would no longer represent the community, that the ties to it's past would be gone, that it would be a commercial sport brand and not the soul of Southampton, representing every Sotonian and the fact that our proud 135 year history would be whitewashed for the opportunity (note it's not guaranteed by any distance) of success would make it all worth it? Red Bull are the death of football clubs, they only exist for the modern fans that love stats and computer games, i wouldn't even wish that shower of sh*t on the blue few. Southampton football club represents Southampton and the Sotonians born and bred there, not Red Bull.

F*ck that, the day that happens i walk away and don't come back. Franchise c*nts can keep out of our game.
