  1. Going long is by definition more of a gamble than passing short. HTH FWIW I wish our keepers had better long distance distribution. It 's not like it isn't something you can improve by staying behind after training and practicing.
  2. @Viking Saint - must be cos I don't pay subs Going to get back to Keef first then will update.
  3. Matt Gill said he's not eligible in pre-match interview.
  4. Lampard for Palace 🤞

  6. Driving down for tomorrow's friendly and got this email today. This is good news, right? What's the food like at the Saints bar? Alternatively what's a decent caff near St Marys?
  7. Ridiculous rule. That means you could punch another player in the face and receive no punishment if VAR deems an offside ocurred just before it.
  8. This. Racism = prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
  9. About time. Who was it had him banned from the ground?
  10. Cheers. Looks like the domain changed from saintsfc.co.uk to southamptonfc.com, so my bookmark wasn't working.
  11. HTTP Error 404. The requested resource is not found.
  12. Nostalgia makes the defender seem better. Let's be honest Fonte made loads of mistakes during his career with us, often gave away penalties often and played like a carthorse at times.
  13. ROTFLMAO @ a man who quotes a dictionary but doesn't understand what "derogatory" means. Muppet.
  14. What a load of crap. Some of you internet managers really hate Cedric don't you? He made that chance out of nothing by closing players down. Frankly Obafemi could have done better IMO.
  15. Best performance in a long time and Ralf got it right despite all the armchair managers on here slagging the line-up. Feel gutted that we threw away 2 points, especially after not taking 3 or 4 golden chances to put the game to bed. But let's be honest that was an entertaining game with chances galore. The speed of passing was a joy to watch at times.
  16. Agree with this. Get real people.
  17. If the OP had used the term chinese man, then you might have had a point. But he didn't, and you don't. HTH
  18. Well have a look at this for a start: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=China%20Man Then there's: https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/chinaperson-racist-term-don-blankenship-senate_us_5aeb3915e4b0c4f1931ffdee?ri18n=true&guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9jb25zZW50LnlhaG9vLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAABbRf_Mf_tiIPCz-z1TfcUzqWLVRj8lvlqIiIxlmQLASnwi2lOtEwbWEdg-Jmue1mAL8Xid4FHLldRPdXrtVyZk9E3NgRfo-_h8wBDpQATpVRBWAJ3O8_nyHG_F_M5Z0Q7XZQolbI0TLXM9rQBcZfP54jiKojV1ylDxjezoACzQc or https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2014/07/rules-of-engagement-for-ethnic-slurs/374769/ or https://www.thehindu.com/thread/sports/the-racist-spin-of-the-chinaman/article17701854.ece or http://blog.angryasianman.com/2018/04/dammit-can-you-stop-using-word-chinaman.html Perhaps there should be a derogative term for the kind of person who "googles" something, reads the first result and then professes themselves an expert on the subject?
  19. Thanks mate - I needed that!

  24. It came immediately after a blistering run at goal that covered half the pitch so looked like cramp. Glad we got the win, but Redmond should have scored 1, Ings 2, Maya 1 and Long 1. Fulham's defence were terrible - Parker made several changes and the last two subs wouldn't have got served without ID at any bar. Djenepo looked good - fast as Boufal and hungry for the ball with tricks to spare but a bit more bite. Boufal did ok, but his main achievement seems to be winning free kicks. To be fair he's fast and has plenty of tricks so defenders do kick him. Though Danso did well with plenty of good headers, but looked uncomfortable on the ball. I'd say he needs somebody with experience/authority alongside him. PEH did a good job at LB, getting forward at times with Djenepo covering once or twice. Roll on the next round, hopefully with another London game....
