Similar background to me by the sounds of it (I studied in Hong Kong & Bristol), but I work in the creative side. I graduated a couple of years ago but I'm now quite happily employed in an small agency specialising in design & marketing for football clubs. Two of the best sites are probably creativepool and design week. But generally most of the agencies are quite small and the better ones probably won't advertise so I always note down any agencies I see that I'd like to work for and then check their sites for any openings or just make speculative applications for placements / junior positions - which is how I got my job, just happened to make an enquiry to the right person at the right time. The downside is that most nice looking agencies are in london, so it can be difficult to manage to do placements there for free.

Jaidi was 'marking' their goal scorer, he started to run forwards for some reason when their long ball was played over meaning that Fonte had to come across to try and make amends. If he was really as dominant in the air as people say he would have been under, but he misjudged it as he often does, its just that when he head it head, he heads it half the length of the pitch which is quite noticeable.
-
I thought he was monumentally bad, lots of heavy touches, scuffed clearances and was at fault for the goal, got worse as the game went on and looked a real liability, I was afraid yesterday when the ball went near him. For someone of his experience he doesn't even seem to read the game very well. The sooner Martin or Seaborne come back in the better IMO.

It gives Bournemouth's top goal scorer Josh McQuoid a mention further down, says that he's stepped into Brett Pitman's shoes well. Wikipedia says that Pitman's from Jersy, and that McQuiod was born in Southampton, in which case I'd have thought that we should really have picked them up as youngsters.
-
His goal ratio looks average, and at 23 he's unlikley to improve much, so on the surface doesn't look any better than what we have already, but without seeing him can't judge for sure.
-
If he continues his form this season over at Millwall, then I doubt whether they'd sign him permanently. But it does leave us a shirt for options on the right, no problems with the left wing. Puncheon's form had gradually been getting better, but no great loss - althought a lot now rides on Chamberlain to stay fit and perform.
-
Is he injured? Jaidi's been picked ahead of him again. Shame as it seemed that under Pardew he had just managed to make that second center back spot his own.
-
I think basically it was about Fonte going on a holiday to Barcelona and that Martin may deputise at centre back next match.
-
I saw him coming out of Sainsbury's in Winchester yesterday and he had a limp, I think it was him, although it could have just been another quite ordinary looking man.

You've put my mind at rest, I'll sleep easy again now.

Thought last night was probably his best performance (at home) this season, although still not as good as he was last season, the main thing being that he was a target man for Kelvin's goal kicks, but he seems unable to win those this season and we've reverted to short goal kicks. Although he did play quite poorly at times last season as well, whilst still scoring, anyone remember his hatrick against mk dons, because his performance that day wasn't great.

7 players in teams above us in England, but at least a couple have gone abroad. Never really understood why Villareal signed Condesso, he's dropped down to the 3rd division in Spain now, playing for UD Logroñés. Looks like Tim Sparv has done pretty well though, 11 caps for Finland and playing regular foorball for Groningen in the dutch top division.

As would have been the case with Walcott, but once the press noticed him they almost seemed to orchestrate the move themselves, giving him so much coverage that it made not moving almost impossible.

The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)

And if Labour were in power where would they do it then? Knightsbridge and Kensington so that the rich can pointout at how they're suffering? No they'd do it in the same places. -

Any kind of benefits really need to be distributed fairly, and to me it doesn't really seem fair to penalise someone who has senseably been saving but for whatever reason is out of work. If you had spent or invested those savings in say a new tv, a new car and lot more booze and drugs, then you'd have been better off. I definately think there should be benefits available but, they should either be universal or just for those who genuinley need them. Why should you have to live off live savings until your account is dry, while a f*ckwit in the next street can live off benefits having never had a job and who chose not to go to college (for free) or get any proper training. The way that benefits are distributed needs to be looked at, they shouldn't just be ruthlessly axed. Although the Tory's have already f*cked up as the media pointed out with child benefit, quite simply it should be based on either one parent earning over 45k or both earning something like 70k. Otherwise you get parents earning 80k (40k +40k) between them claiming benefits while other parents earning 60k (45k + 15k) aren't eligable. -
I like French people they've got spirit as well as a certain jena se qua. I saw him one time at Heathrow as he was walking to his gate, he seemed to to a decent job then and I'm confident he still can. Would be a great option for us, can also play all across the midfield.

I meet a couple from Miami once, one of them was Cuban, they said half the population was Cuban. Miami wouldn't be the first city I'd want to relocate to/visit in the USA. Although the weather should be nice, and the Carribean's not too far away, I'd quite like to visit Cuba, especially if I lived in USA.

This has probably been mentioned somewhere on the thread, but's quite a long thread and I don't really want to read all of it. But I thought previously when FL clubs have come out of admin, Luton and I think Bournemouth at least, did so without the consent or what have you from the FL. Which resulted in a points deduction. Can't P*mpey just do the same, come out of admin on whatever dodgy terms they agree with creditors and then suffer a points deduction? What do they have to do to get a proper point deduction?

Simple as it seems, that would in theory work. However there is a Tory Government now, made up of a cabinate of millionaires, they're not interested in building a fair society, but in protecting their wealth. They're not where they are so that their off shore accounts, dividend payments and inheritance can be taxed at a higher rate. Did you by any chance watch Dispatches yestreday (How to Tax the Rich). -

Irrelevant really what the popluation of Sweden is, or how sparsely populated it is. Similarly with Ireland, which also has one major city, a couple of smaller ones and then just towns and villages spread all over the place, I believe it is actually a disadvantage. Having lived in Ireland and visited Sweden, surely its more beneficial to have high concentration of people living in cities and being within easy reach of jobs, transport links and cultural facilities. The best quality of life and I enjoyed was while living in Hong Kong (on a pretty tiny budget as I was a student). But Hong Kong has by far a higher population density than possibly any other country in the world, as well as one of the strongest economies, public transport was great...etc etc (still by no means perfect as the wealth gap is quite large)- but on the right track. -
I think last week in England only half dozen prem teams had higher attendances than us, as we beat all the championship and half the premiership figures, although not cheacked them all. Possibly every time there's an international break now and we are playing at home we could be setting the highest club attendance in the world for that weekend.

Anyone know how the Saints fan got injured after the match, corner of Onslow Road and St Marys Road, assuming he was run over, hopefully not to badly injured. Seems to be a worrying trend of pedestrians and cyclists being hit by vechicles lately.

Last time I went to France, as I was sat on a train on my way back to Paris, a girl sat next to me (pre designated seats), and said bonjour, quite taken aback I pretended I was french, used up all my best language skills to say bonjour back to her, I was sat in the wrong seat anyway so didn't really want to let on that I was foreign. I've never had anyone say bonjour to me as they sit next to me on a bus or train in England. It could be that the french are more polite, or it could be that I'm so good looking that English people are overwhelmed wereas the french are used to seeing incredibly handsome individuals.

Our centenary year was 25 years ago, although your point's still valid.
