I can get a flight now to tomorrow with Etihad or similar for about £550 inc. taxes but anywhere near Christmas the average is about £1100-1200. If i could buy a Singapore airlines flight for £850 i may just buy it, but from this end they're charging £1300.

You do have to rev the nuts of the 750 but the 1000 is great, i'll agree overpriced new but a great secondhand buy. All the mags are saying the R1 is the bike to beat but i'd have to say the Honda's build quality would swing it for me.

The R1 is the better bike but i'd get the Ducati 848 or a slightly used MV F4.

It would absolutely **** the pitch at St.Mary's meaning it would have to be relaid once or twice a season at a cost of a few hundred grand each time.
