I have to say that i'm disappointed with True Detective, it's not living up to the hype for me and i can't put my finger on exactly why. It should tick every box for me - decent cast, slow paced build and great cinematography but i'm finding the script is weak in significant areas and the sub plot is almost predictable. Is it just me?

If you look around the league not many of the mid range (£10M-£20M) foreign league signings seem to work out, look at Spurs they spunked loads on so called quality and they've not really stepped up. I think Defoe would have been a sensible signing but he's off to Canada, other than that i think there's as much risk importing a foreign player for £15M as spending £££'s on Jordan Rhodes or that Burnley fella.

As has been said it seems to happen alot over the period of 6 weeks or so and then nothing for months. Longbow's (Apache's) are less frequent, but still get what look like RAF Lynx and RN Lynx fairly regularly.
