Dusan Tadic - DONE DEAL, official and everything
Polaroid Saint replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
Should this photo be on the kit rumours thread!? -
Ooooh. Graduated hoops! From yellow to off white. Hmmm. Although I suspect it might look quite nice in the flesh?! Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

Mobile and Normal OS both unresponsive for me. Pinged the old site IP too and got nothing too, which suggests the site is purposely down (as suspected). Truly hoping it is a complete rebuild; visiting the mobile site is like going back to the dark days before HTML5, maaan. (This is probably even sadder than caring about the bloody shirt, but hey, let's geek out). Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

Personal Terms to negotiate how much of the (higher than expected) insurance Adam will have to pay out of his own wages and how much Liverpool will cover? Pure speculation, but makes sense to me. A bit. Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

There's nothing like a good kit thread and this is... Anyway, the terrible shirt I posted is a cheap own brand (pretty sure its not the arsenal shirt, judging by the photos in the link). I choose it mainly because it looks too tight and a bit shiny. Like the morph suit previously posted (I am going on that as a hot ITK lead). Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

Me too. I normally like to do one of my own, but as no one else has, here's a dodgy photo of a red kit that kinda fits all the chatter thus far.

I'm ticking the box marked 'Strongly Disagree' here. The formation of the league was at an 'amateur' level and professionalism was strongly resisted for many years. The game was as popular, maybe more so, then. There is no reason to suggest sport cannot thrive without immediate (or such intrinsic and entwined) financial reward. I guess back then the League operated in a world where 'Labour' meant something to most people and also to market and political forces. Capitalism may be the best we can hope to achieve right now, but I it is not the best we can think of! ;-)

I think you mate is confusing his common household materials. A pinch of talc might be better, if this is the new kit.

Spun!

Koeman starts tomorrow. Not a moment too soon.

This is actually my betting technique. -
And hopefully refit the whole shop. Its a Point of Sale nightmare. Too much room given over to car stickers and postcards, no flow to the place. How can we take our club seriously when the Megastore is anything less than Mega!? That Fulham kit is nice. But are they literally playing 'in black and white' next season? Is that an austerity thing or just a nod to the Victorian charm of Craven Cottage?

I have to disagree. It's a fabulous haircut. Matched by an equally fabulous eighties style top lip gangster tache. The lad has style.

Rats leaving a sinking ship? Five Year Plan, or 'The Project', ended. All the main players are now gone: Pardew; Marcus; Adkins; Cortese; Pochettino; Lambert; Guly and soon Lallana. I guess, in any job, when it becomes clear an era is over a lot of people move on. In the real world it happens over several months and years until eventually the staff has completely turned over. In football, with its attachment to 'success' (tsk!) and limited transfer windows this process is accelerated. Now there is a new plan. It involves a steadying of the ship before plotting a new course. Let's see who's still on deck come Sept. Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

And along with Koeman. Also highly regarded. Credit must surely go to the combination of Krueger and Reed for securing such high profile and respected senior staff? It remains to be seen if its echoed with player acquisitions and development, of course. But it looks positive to me.

I'm not saying the Witsel thing is true. But possible reasons for wanting out include the bad blood between higher paid foreigners and Russian players, racism from fans (home too), it's cold. No, really cold. I suspect he will leave Russia after the world cup, and probably to the prem (he issued a 'come and get me plea' late last year) but I very much doubt for us! I suspect Hulk will also leave Zenit. Both for 'cut price fees: too I would think (ie still stupid money but less than Zenit paid). Wages always gonna be the issue with teams outside the top four/CL now. Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

Booo! Knew it was too good to be true, Mainly as it would also mean spending the bulk of the 37-55m (whatever it is) on one player! Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

Alex Witsel?! Seriously ? I would call that a marquee signing and statement of intent. By then again (like a lot of us that fancy ourselves as being 'really into the game, rara'), I have had an indecent love-in for the Belgium squad for a while now. Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

We are five years into a five year plan. The primary goal of which was to leave saints in the top half of the top division and able to survive 'within our means' as dictated by the rules governing the game. That has been, to all our joy, amazement and gratitude, achieved. We do have to sell (players, tickets, shirts) in order to fulfil the goals of that plan. Part of the plan was to have our own way of generating cash from player sales by the development of decent young players. This was never hidden and was always part of the plan. Or 'Project'. I am failing to see where anyone really has a problem with this and also failing to see any point to all these insider rumours and gossip. Was Lovren really sold a longer term plan by NC and MP? Hmmm. When everyone else knew we already ahead of the plan and it had just a year left to run? Hey maybe, I dunno. Just seems the club did absolutely everything it promised. With the failure to 'get into Europe' of course. Next plan next. Aha. still sent from my effing nexus 4, but I have found the setting now dammit.

However, we must remember it was later rediscovered and became a legend. Earning it's new employers hundreds of millions of dollars along the way. If only there were a sell-on clause, James Cameron would owe Southampton big time.

A very good question. Although I wonder how Arsenal feel about not exercising such a clause and letting Febregas go to Chelsea?
