Oh Dear! The last one is so close I thought you had actually found a picture of me! - It isn't - I would NEVER have a soul patch! :-) Freaky (on several levels!)

Not sure I understand pap, sorry! There appears to be a little spittle slurring your words! ;-) You do seem VERY angry about this !?!? it is just an argument to discuss possibilities, that is all. Envy? WTF? Adoption is there to help thousands of kids without families find one. Simple as that. I am unclear as to what your colourful womb analogy is about... ...I hope you are using a generalised 'your' here. It's not my plan, I didn't conceive it. It exists. Should it be used to grant a 'licence to breed' as per the OP? Possibly, as I said. No abortions , no sterilisation, just NO 'licence'. (Normally if you do something without a licence it is a fine or imprisonment if you can't pay the fine, but if you want to jump straight to emotive concepts like abortion then err, okay.) Hang on: Are you visiting from some dystopian future where resources are so scarce that this has actually happened? Have you been sent back in time to stop it? In which case, fair enough, you have a right to be angry!

As I said, there is already a test for prospective parents. Those who wish to Adopt rather than breed (for whatever reason). It is TOO strict and is being very sensibly revised, however it exist and DOES take financial security (not 'wealth'), emotional and physically stability - yes, both physical and mental health... ...is the parent a heavy smoker, a gambler, a sportman, work 100hrs a week, have MS? And so on into account. All comers considered, of course, and no one thing will prevent you from adopting but the welfare of the child is paramount in every case. Should this be applied to prospective new parents? Possibly yes. I don't think you can say that this is some sort of fascist means test, merely applying a sensible and positive set of ideals to assist/aid the future of the individual children (and yea Pap, the nation/planet, in terms of producing decent human beans!).

Use exactly the same process as for adoption. Job done. It checks health, wealth and happiness of the couple (or even single) prospective parent. Takes ages and can be really emotionally, mentally and physically draining but it works (and is being simplified thank goodness too).

As a 'punker' I was able to counter my receding hairline by first adopting a mohican. As I got older, and my working circumstance changed to something a bit more 'respectable' I started shaving to a grade 2 buzzcut and growing a massive 'tache. My advice, therefore, is to match or outperform the baldiness with ridiculous facial hair. Works a treat.

From the Inside Flap End of 2013, Graziano Pellè reported to Voetbal International with the idea to put a book out because he usually does not have time to answer all the questions from all his fans; as a footballer, Feyenoord required him to be professional. Indeed, in book form, everyone could email questions to the wildly popular Italian. He answered them all, often surprisingly frank, and talking endlessly. Including on his relationship with Louis van Gaal, his childhood, his famous hairstyle, his greatest fears, his greatest dreams, his emotions and his former girlfriends. He even shares his first sexual experiences with readers .... About childhood sweethearts, "I was mostly a playboy, but one who barked but never bite, I was good with women, flirting like crazy, had chances sat too. do, but it remained chatting I was a bit like I was back as a striker:. hassle, but never score. " ... On Louis van Gaal: "Occasionally I was mad with him, he kept talking morning I had two hours of English lessons first and then I got another hour and a half Louis over me I understand that people find him arrogant.. , he also comes across, but for his players, he was very good. "

I like this a lot. It has clapping too, which is always a bonus.

"Some are born to sweet delight, Some are born to endless night." Judgement Day has passed and we are exalted.

With Guly, Gaston and Jos (!?!) gone I can't help but feel we are seeing a huge sea change in the character and composition of the 'dressing room'. These guys were squad players but contributed a helluva lot to the team dynamic (a dynamic that was instrumental in the cracking last four or five years of Saints football). What with Kelvin taking a more backroom role, it seems to me we have lost a lot of character in the dressing room. Okay with this, but add in the three L's, and..! Consider this my bed-wetter moment.

This is a brilliant statistic/piece of trivia. Honestly, I like it. Where does it come from? Would like it verified ao I can quote it too! Okay, so its not a 'good' stat really, but it kinda makes me like Gaston even more! ? Hope he stays and wins a cup with us or sumfink.

Toby Alderweireld Signs on Season Loan - Official
Polaroid Saint replied to Aziz Yebda's topic in The Saints
This is better. And what I have been singing every time I read Aldeweireld's name. -
I use a couple of these guys devices: http://www.innokin.com/index.php/about-us (A couple cos I upgraded my kit! - its a bit geeky and techy like that. Advanced Personal Vaporisers FFS) I know you said you weren't sure about the 'non-cig' looking ones, but they really are the best in my experience. As well as not smoking tobacco since day one of getting my first device (after a 25yr pack of GV a day), I have also reduced my nicotine requirement. I started by drawing hard on 20mg liquid, then smoking the thing a bit better - the cool flavours help with this. Then I dropped to 18mg liquid and now 11mg liquid. I still really enjoy 'smoking' and never took this up to quit, just thought I'd try it out. One of the best decisions I have made in a long time. I have improved my kit and now mix my liquids to get other flavours. I only use FDA approves liquids (for what its worth). I actually prefer it to smoking. Which I used to really enjoy. I am hoping from one of these for my birthday: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0466/3585/products/IMAG2366_1_1024x1024.jpg?v=1407352947 Oh yea. Yea I am.

Great point. In addition (slightly related) the argument that 'Westminster' has been 'bad' for Scotland in recent history completely ignores the disproportionate number of Scots in the UK parliament, both in total and in cabinet positions.
-
I like how Scotland complain the UK is London-centric. Might it have something to do with Greater London having twice as many people as Scotland and contributing nearly three times the aGVA to the UK economy? Or am I just being silly? ?

I really liked it. You have to give in to the guys ego and then just roll with the story.

Not online, but a hard copy? Hmmm, some fanzines are doing pretty well these days. As per all the caveats above though, has to have a USP and a house style that would appeal to the average fan. Not sure the average fan craves fanzine nostalgia enough though?

Sorry Alps, it is just Banter really. I find your posts amusing for the most part, occasionally prescient and sometimes just quite sad; hence why I would never put you on ignore! Your original post 6109 about us requiring four new players in four positions was in response to today's 'news' we are only after two more signings this window. You managed to spin a negative by implying (nay asserting) that the club had de-prioritised two positions... ...this is negative, it is a dig at the club pretty much spun out of nothing. Yes you can be of the opinion we need four more players; but you can't then claim the club has purposely decided not to try for two of them; in the clubs 'opinion' we only need two, so no de-prioritising going on. Just (yet another) drip drip effect of negativity, not provocative in and of itself, but just another salvo of despair from the mountains! Love you really, keep on frowning! EDIT: and sorry to everyone else, but there is very little actual transfer rumour news today. I will cease.

The Alpine Factor. Never fails. You know they send him in to clear up oil slicks? Just roll him out and all the blackness gets sucked up into his soul. He then spits it out on here. Aboubakar anyone? Striker quick can play on the wing, or going to Hull?

Mainstream, no, but they (with others), did allow the opposite to happen: Guys like me who had previously had avoided football because of the f*cktards and louts, started wearing our colours again. If my favourite bands and alternative icons were into football openly it meant I didn't have to hide my love of the game away. I was 'suddenly' allowed to discuss the game in terms that David Gedge would understand and enjoy supporting my team again. That coupled with my mum buying me Desmond Morris's The Soccer Tribe and I was hooked again. I think indie bands did less to make football Popular in the late eighties and nineties (you are right that Safe Stadia and Sky did that) but they did make it COOL!!!

I hope you are right, but I am a frayed knot.

Roses are massive United fans except Reni who is Citeh. I mean, seriously huge fans. IIRC a gig I was meant to be attending (Cardiff?) was cancelled because it clashed with United's first trip into Europe for about five years. All part of the holy trinity Football Music Fashion, which has to go back to the Liverpool traveling fans of the eighties (the birth of the casual) etc. Oh. I'm getting nostalgic. Where's me Sergio Tacchini tracky top gone..?

Vincent Aboubakar rumours resurfacing again. Probably only due to Hull being a striker short now (Hehe) but hey, that's what this thread is for yes?!

This is a very well written paper that gives an opinion on the history of Islamic radicalism that would be useful to anyone seriously interested in learning more about the subject. http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/14690760601121648#/doi/full/10.1080/14690760601121648
