10000% this - this is the most exciting season in years and we are seeing true, consistent attacking football for the first time since Nicholl (IMO). We may not go up this year, but the entertainment value has been immense and it's lovely to actually win a load of games as opposed to trying to hold on for a valiant 1-0 defeat. If we don't go up it's not the end of the world. This is a proper league - the naysayers will say 'if we don't go up the team will be picked apart' and this may be true but we also have talented youngsters we can use more next season. The Prem is not the be all and end all of everything (except money and money can't buy you happiness - it helps for sure, but it's not everything)

I think you are in a minority on this one. How e paid 23 million for this guy is beyond belief. He has shown no improvement since he joined us and his decision making is non-existent. Gets the ball and runs and typically ends up giving it away. I just don't see how he is a better option than Dibling/SAA.
-
Don't see much difference between Sulemana and George Lawrence. Both looked electric but absolutely no football brain at all
-
What a game.....you can't fault the entertainment this year but Saints are still poor. Glad to eat humble pie re. Rothwell!
-
This is all on Martin and his pathetic game management. Great goal but given away yet again. Shocking, simply shocking. And to compound it the idiot brings on Rothwell who has been absolutely terrible since he joined (bar a 30 minute spell). Real questions have to be asked of this manager and team

I cannot believe he made those subs....we have 3 weeks until our next game. SMallbone was bossing the center and Brooks was providing cover. The headless chicken comes on and immediately is at fault for the goal.
-
The subs by Martin were uncalled for and disrupted Saints. Sulemana showing we were robbed for the fee we paid. This is not a good performance - no way should Saints be going up this year. We would be destroyed next season.
-
But there is no VAR so why always looking for the negative?
-
They sacked Tony Mowbray and have been terrible since
-
Funny - but it's not real.
-
What is this odd obsession with 'the next Stoke'? We will have one more year of parachute payments and should be strong again next year. Personally, I will take this entertainment, winning games and proper stadiums and fans over the overhyped, non-competitive Prem. The only thing going for the Prem is the money.

Frankly, this has been the most interesting season for many years re. Saints. I love this League - if we go up, fantastic but I'll be quite happy if we stay in the Championship for one more season. Yes, we'll lose more players but then hopefully the likes of Meghoma, SAA, Dibling and Ballard will get more of a chance. The Prem is overhyped garbage and we would get tanked most weeks.

Very sad news - RIP. I remember him as a player and then manager. True non nonsense CB and as others have said, had a great partnership with Dave Watson. As a manager, some of the play was unbelievable but what I remember most is his fall out with Mark Dennis and the demonstration at the Dell calling for Dennis to be reinstated (where I got bitten by a police dog!). Only after he left did it become clear what a great job he did.

Devoid of ideas, devoid of fight, devoid of a plan B. Weird team selections, weird subs, really need a reset. Right now, Saints look like a shambles in all areas of the pitch with no threat. The Rothwell loan signing was a strange one - why did we not keep Alcaraz?
-
How the hell is Edozie a better option than SAA or DIbling?
-
Very disappointing last few games (WBA apart). Seem to have lost our mojo and really disappointed Meghoma, SAA and Dibling are seemingly not going to get a look in. We look devoid of ideas and completely toothless up front.
-
Very strange subs.....
-
If we get promoted we will get destroyed in the Prem. Not that I think we'll get promoted: the wheels seem to have come off big time. Bazunu - shocker Aribo - anonymous Edozie - absolutely appalling Brooks - very poor Defence - non existent and no defensive midfielders: Smallbone has had a good season but he is not a holding midfielder. Still, at least we had 80% possession: did pretty much nothing with it mind
-
I never realized that, shockingly, CHe Adams has never (in his 4.5 seasons here) managed 10 league goals in a season. This year is his best chance as he has 8 right now
-
MIserable bugger - nothing wrong with that at all.
-
Mara was sensational. Sulemana was not good - typical George Lawrence impression - and S Armstrong was really awful. Mara should start next game - he has some lovely skills and must be full of confidence right now. Saints dodged a bullet there - fair play to Huddersfield. They were the better team for most of the match and never gave up.
-
Don't understand how Sulemana gets on instead of Dibling.
-
As bad as Saints have been today, Huddersfield have been excellent and much the better team. And saying that we equalize! What a game but Saints have still been abysmal
-
Perhaps a blue card?

Would like to see Meghoma start next game - Manning is just not good enough
