Haha I used to work for ASG. Delusions of grandeur spring to mind. Distinct case of small man syndrome too and always love taking about his attempts to buy SFC and how Lowe was a **** (about the only thing I agreed with). Worst boss in the world ever and for that reason I am glad he had nothing to do with SFC. Currently running a dodgy mortgage brokerage last I heard Who was the photocopy salesman who posted on here claiming to be buying saints years ago??

I am as ****ed off as the next fan but things to remember and hold faith guys, our confidence breeds confidence in the team. If we are nervous that 'fear' will not help the team... 1) We are still 4 points ahead of WHU with 5 games left, even if Reading do beat us, assuming WHU win, we are still a point above them. 2) We were beaten by 2 wonder strikes, yes they did play well and wanted it maybe a little more than us but they didnt out play us and save but those two strikes, they had no other real chances 3) We battered them in spells and their keeper kept them in it with a string of world class saves 4) It could have been so much different... Imagine if our goal was not given and they went on to grab it with the last kick of the day! 5) Pompey are still very much likely to be relegated and possibly receive further point deductions 6) Pomepy are still very much likely to be liquidated 7) We're still top of the league

Anyone know what time the streaming for this starts? Is it literally just when the game starts or is there any pre match build up you can view? Anyone streaming pre match build up on a site at the moment? I have tried all of the above links but cant see anything. Most simply say (as Vipbox does at the moment) 'this video is not available at the moment'?

Good luck! I am a mortgage advisor and valuations on property are the bain of my life. Unfortunately, whilst using things like the land registry and Zoopla will provide you with good material to agrue your case, a valuation on a property is based upon someones opinion. I have had a case recently whereby one lenders surveyors valued the property at £190,000 one month and another surveyor for a different lender valued the property at £180k only 3-4 months later. Thats a large decrease of circa 6%. This after an estate agent had valued the property at £200k and sites like Zoopla would tend to have agreed with this figure. The difficulty in valuing a house is that as mentioned it is based upon opinion which can differ from one person to the next, even if they have the same qualifications! The only way of knowing what a property is truely worth is seeing what someone is willing to pay for it. How often is it an Estate Agent will tell you the property is worth £200k but when you put it on the market you only end up getting offers of £180-£190k? Good luck in trying to get them to overturn their valuation but unless you can demonstrate that one or (ideally) more properties, extactly the same as yours has sold for a higher price within the last 3 months, it is almost impossible to get a surveyor to change their mind.

BTL's are still readily available but the fee's are often a lot higher (as are the rates) than residential mortgages. The majority of BTL mortgages are available up to 70 - 75% of the property value but there are a few available up to 80% and even 85%. As previously mentioned 100% mortgages are no more (and doubt they will be for a while yet with uncertainty over the economy and housing market) a few obscure building societies offer 95% LTV on purchases and one I believe on a remortgage (Skipton BS last time I checked) but the majority of residential remortgages are only available up to 85% LTV. As CS states, the only 100% mortgage on the market is through Aldermore and is a form of a first time buyer guarantor mortgage which is complicated and requires a family member to act as the guarantor. If you are looking at raising some additional cash, it may be cheaper (and a hell of a lot easier) to look at a personal loan

Probably the wrong thread to read when eating a banana (not metaphorical before any of you numb nuts try to be funny)

Lolz, i'm more interested to hear what this girl has said! I'm sure you have been given an ear full from her if she has read this thread? But yeah, bit douche from the bloke who has told her about this, I would hazard a guess he wants to nail her and maybe jealous of your recent feat. It is not as if you have named her or anything? I am also bemused to how he knows you are Bearsy though?! Is it simply that he has been reading this and seen your Facebook brags about it and put 2 and 2 together?

Appy, overwhelmed by the support had to use both hands to count the amount of fans who turned out for 'Pack The Park' rather than the usual one.

Thought i would dig out a few old Corpse gems. I like this one. I am feeling pretty pig sick at the moment. I put this down to my reheated KFC I had this morning though, thinking about Pompeys plight is like a spoonful of calpol, makes me feel that much better! It gets better. Reading this back Corpse, does it not make you feel like a bit of a tit? Maybe you should only comment on things you know to be factually correct and not base your opinion as fact.

Good point. Still, (correct me if I am wrong) their 'beef' is with homosexuals and not other religions. Again (correct me if I am wrong) they do not kill people or carry guns. Not that I am condoning what they do mind, they are sick people themselves. -
Football seems to be a rule to its own. Yeah, i think it is cheating. The FL should retract the registrations of said players or affectly impose a ban on these players until the embargo is lifted. It is like having a court hearing coming up for a driving offense you know will take you over the 12 point limit and lose you your licence and driving around everywhere at 150mph before the hearing 'to get places quicker'. If there is no recourse for your actions, a punishment is simply not that. Kind of like the skates taking the point deduction before the deadline date to apply them to next season. Not that I see them lasting that long but if they miraculously pull out of it and scrape relegation, the 10 point deduction would have served as no real penalty.
-
Scenario A. It is for the best of the club we get promoted and whilst I am sure the Skates will gloat in the fact that they helped us get there, it will kill them inside that they did us a favour. Something I will take great pleasure in pointing out to all the skates I know.

You never see extremist Christians do you? You dont see a bible carrying family with AK47's strapped around their necks at all? Why does there only seem to be extremists in other religions, all seemingly hell bent on causing pain and anguish to anyone who doesnt conform to their own beliefs? Anyone who is STUPID enough to think that they are doing right by an imaginary god by killing others who do not share their beliefs is a moron. It is at times like this that I actually wish there was some kind of afterlife (I do not know if there is one or not just for the record lol) because if there is a higher power, I am sure as hell they would disagree with acts of terrorism and things like this. Would be the just deserts of these morons to spend a life overly committed to a cause they have completed misunderstood to find out when they get to the pearly gates (or their own religion equivilant) they get booted away for being a right nasty c*** whilst they were alive. -
Anyone else notice the company Ruud Gullit Fashions Ltd? This guy obviously has a very good eye for promising businesses
-
Lolz. So, Appleton's view on this is that he is worried about the effect it would have on his young lads, chosing to ignore the more obvious reason that it would be deemed to be cheating (fielding a weakend team - ala Wolves a few years ago). Skates never learn do they? Always looking for an edge be it legal or not... Interesting to see that Steve has pointed out to Appleton there is a youth team though. I was begining to think he simply didnt know!

I have heard similar things about Groupon. They ask for a cut of the 'sale' price from the vendors who use Groupon. This would echo the theory that vendors who use Groupon may not offer a real discount because if they are already reducing the price to attract new business, they will not want to give half of the already reduced price of their goods to a third party unless they were running a loss leader with the intention of getting repeat business. Would make sense for a Football Club or Hair Salon when using Groupon because there is a good chance of getting repeat business on both accounts but vendors who offer one off products with little chance of getting repeat business? I wonder what they get out of it?
-
I think there is the answer! I too thought it was the works of Deppo. Bl00dy good thread though, made me chuckle on many occasions!
-
Did anyone see this? http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/london/west-ham-united-fc/3589848 Something doesnt seem right with this as they are implying it would normally cost £86 for 2 WHU tickets? They appear to be standard tickets too! That's £43 for a ticket to see them play!? Started me thinking what other deals on Groupon are a load of tosh which you can get direct or elsewhere for the same price as they advertise as a discount?! I have nothing against Groupon or West Ham (other than not wanting them to finish above us this year) but why advertise such a hefty discount? Anyone know what their standard adult ticket prices are? Wouldnt have thought they would have been anymore than £30?

With there being no immediate decision on the amount of points to be deducted and the FL saying this will be discussed at a meeting to which a date will be set... just a thought (and one more than likely completely wide of the mark) do you think this meeting may be planned a little while down the line intentionally to see how Pompey fair over the next few weeks (possibly months) on the pitch? Pompey timed their administration last time so that they were already relegated and the -10 made no difference to this, effectively making it no real penalty at all (cheating the system some may say). We tried as hard as we could to prolong going into administration in the hope we could amass enough points to avoid the drop even with the point penalty which actually ended up hindering us because we passed the cut off date for points to be deducted that season and consequently we started the new season with -10 which set us back. We could have taken the easy route and gone into admin sooner thus cementing our relegation and starting the new season a fresh but chose not to (my understanding). Could the FL be ensuring that any points deduction is made after said cut off period (anyone know when this is?) so that if they are seemingly doomed for relegation anyway without a points deduction, they would have to start the new season next year with minus points like us, making it more of a punishment? Just a thought and as I said, probably wide of the mark!

Get payment up front and lock your car doors. HTH
-
Could we not offer to take all their players and pay a combined £1000 per week (we can all chip in together right lads?) thus ensuring they HAVE to play their youth team and get whipped every week 5-0. That would be great entertainment value plus it reduces their wage bill (a bit)

Now, now. To tar the Monkeys, Hippo's, Elephants, Snakes and Llama's with the same brush as a skate is a bit harsh on the animals don't you think? Most animals have some basic intelligence...
