  1. If you see a club going from an organisation with clear responsibilities, to one with blurred lines of communication and passing the buck, from one where excellence is sought to one where inadequate replacements are installed, and any criticism is muted, because it might damage the public image of the clubs 'Philosophy'. One where the execs travel abroad during the season to promote 'Excellence' at management conferences, while the running of Southampton FC is treated as an optional dilettantery pursuit one need not attend but but twice a year, you may also grow a little weary. And i have seen the knowledge that the fans will 'take it' grow and grow. I said before the Everton match (in the twitter post you mention) that a win would paper over the cracks, and that by the new year we would be in relegation form, in or just above the relegation zone. And here we are, 2nd January 2018, bottom of the form table and only out of the relegation zone on goal difference. It's not rocket science. This managed decline of saints fc is taking place and in Kreuger and a few others eyes, as long as the saints fans turn up, sing to cheer on the team and only tweet bad things after a loss, we are still very much on brand with our message. Now i'm not saying saints fans should run onto the pitch and attack the players, as happened tonight, that's as pointless as it is wrong. But instead of trying to cheer the team onto a win/draw that will only buy Kreuger and Pellegrino more time to wreck the club with equally vapid sheep, turn your voice on the management on and off the field. call for their jobs in the first half, tweet everyday (and yes, the words associated with our hashtags do mean that much to them). Kreuger felt comfortable making that cowardly statement after jetting in, because he knew there would be no audible or visible backlash. If i sound bitter, it's because i'm a Fan of a club which is being run by people who view it as a secondary distraction, on which they can experiment which various blue sky situational concepts. But if you want to turn up to Fulham with a song on your lips as Saints struggle to a 2-1 win that will secure MP's job until after the January window (inevitable OS article - Pellegrino: We've turned a corner), feel free. After all, #WeMarchOn (down the table).
  2. Installition of magnifying glasses around St Mary's as part of Ralph's pledge to make our tiny club bigger. #BestChairman
  3. If we have to wait weeks until Ralph Kreuger deems it time to return to the country, while we freefall into bottom of the form table and 2 points/places off the relegation places, that is a bad situation. If we have to wait weeks until Ralph Kreuger deems it time to return to the country, while we freefall into bottom of the form table and 2 points/places off the relegation places, only to spout a load of meaningless waffle and blame everything on VVD, that is a terrible situation. If we have to wait weeks until Ralph Kreuger deems it time to return to the country, while we freefall into bottom of the form table and 2 points/places off the relegation places, only to spout a load of meaningless waffle and blame everything on VVD, says it's all good and we are a tiny club pluckily punching above our weight (but below the giants of Burnley, Leicester, Everton, Watford, Huddersfield, Brighton, Newcastle, Bournemouth), xcliams Puel did a great job and last season was great, but doesn't say why we sacked puel, ignoring the fact that we are much worse now, and finally, that the manager isn't responsible for mismanaging the team, that is a untenable situation. I've seen lesser men recruited to replace successful individuals at every level of the club over the past 2 years, while those who have lingered have grown complacent. Use the VVD funds to pay for a round of layoffs, unless the fans are happy with club figures flying in every 3 months to tell us all the sh*t sandwiches they're trying to force feed us taste like strawberry. Win or lose tonight, they need to go. ***** Maurico, ***** Ralph, and ***** anyone at the club who enables them and their 'Found our level' mentality.
  4. Very clever from the club. Relieve the pressure on the club, by making a batsh*t crazy move that will stop people talking about MP, and instead focus on the the latest piece of blue-sky thinking from the club. Now the fans will be too busy to call for the managers head on live TV! Good work, sirs.
  5. I've never been so excited by the signing of multiple talented sicknotes since the halycon days of Ripley and Hirst.
  6. If saints fan want to tip the 1 or 2 members of the hierarchy that are still in favour of Pellegrino staying, we need to be slightly less nice. The players and management at the moment know there is no real punishment for faliure at the moment. If, however, after the first goal for united against our shambles of a team the fans stop fruitlessly giving their vocal backing to a disinterested side and instead, on live TV loudly call for the managers head for the remaining 70 mins, we might even see MP sacked before the palace game. No place to hide on Live coverage! Just have to keep it clean so it wouldn't get muted....
  7. And 2 points from the bottom 3.
  8. If he resigned tonight i would have so much respect for him. It's not working out, and he's not the right man to choose targets for the transfer window.
  9. We have to stop their momentum, and soon.
  10. Since they are one of the primary members of the transfer committee? It's even public record, not even a matter of secrecy. The manager passes on the area's he needs to be strengthened in, Unfortunately, Pellegrino can't even decide on the best position for a player on the game to game basis, let alone who needs replacing. But yeah let's keep him. Along with his tactical genius, he needed clear the air talks with the players after ten (10) games. If Reed and co can't come up with better alternatives than this, they need to go too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I prefer to wait and see. Stick with Pellegrino until January, that way he can wreck our transfer window as well.
  12. Indeed. Attacking intent, doubling up on runners and coherent passing. Even Fraser wasn't at fault for the goal. A great difference! As Man City will be a probable loss, let's hope for more of the same against Bournemouth, and not a reversion. Shame we can't play that Everton side every week, pathetic display given the collective wage they are on. Oh and lol at Ashley Williams.
  13. The only thing saints related to have have contained energy and effort this season (Boufal goal aside). :badger:
  14. It is, and I do. I put it there to illustrate how empty the Club PR is compared to the actual club direction/performance.
  15. Hi all. First off, for those who think this is mere impatience, I implore you look at our results and upcoming fixtures. We have failed to win against: Burnley, Brighton, Newcastle, Watford, Stoke, Huddersfield, Swansea, Oh, and Wolves. If we adopt a 'Wait and see' attitude for the next month, we would be relying on those same tactics and mentality against Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester Untied, and hoping we will get enough points to pull us away from our current position of 14th. So, in order to make known the level of dissatisfaction with the current staffing arrangements. I am going to continue the efforts to spread the view that #PellegrinoMustGo this Sunday, before our match with Everton. The club have already noticed the number of statements from fans making it into the traditional media and social network trends, and now they need the push that sustained coverage of #PellegrinoMustGo would give them. That impact can be made far more easily than usual tomorrow. We are the first game of the day, on a day of only 3 matches, with no 'big' or grudge fixtures serving as distraction. I'll be making sure to include the #SaintsFC and #southampton Hashtags in order to spread the word when people search for news about the club. and making sure to include programs that will be discussing SaintsFC tomorrow morning such as @BBCMOTD #MOTD2 @SundaySupp and @5liveSport @solentsport . I know that this may be a thorny issue for people who see doing this on matchday as 'disloyal', so when 13.30 hits, i'm fully behind the team. Lord know they could use it. But the fact is, Everton are probably the worst team in the league right now, and beating them would only serve to show us as the better team in the relegation fodder mini league. We haven't progressed since last season, or even the start of this season. To steal a quote: So I will be doing what i can tomorrow. I know Saints fans aren't some homogeneous mass in all aspects, and have their own views and motivations. So if people don't fancy it after reading this, I understand. But if you do want to join the effort, i'll be glad to have you. And remember, if 10 people tweeted their thoughts using the hashtag #PellegrinoMustGo and then retweeted the 9 other posters views that had used the same hashtag, you would go from 10 tweets to a hundred in a matter of minutes. On Sunday morning that kind of traffic grows quickly, and gets noticed.
  16. I can confirm this was 100% my idea and nothing to do with Les Reed. Indeed, as the man who signed off on both Puel and Pellegrino, you'd have to decide for yourself if Reed should stay given that Black, Watson, and the in some people's eyes the recruitment committee must go as well, and he had a hand in setting them up at the club. I simply used the Hashtag #PellegrinoMustGo (and will be again on Sunday morning for Sunday Supplement/MOTD2 Extra/5Live) is that anyone so inclined towards the view the manager must go can agree on that short, succinct statement. As soon as you start including other names and putting them forth as the views of all fans, you are making the mistake that the 'Mr Goa' letter writer did yesterday. K Billy and myself have had several animated conversations on this subject, I imagine we will have several more!
  17. "Dear Mr Goa" It's not even the worst part of the letter. It's the first! Was there a vote on bringing Cortese back i missed? I don't think these ideas are a real goa.
  18. If we suddenly look like Barca on steroids, obviously not. But the chances of that are slim!
  19. Or Sunday after our match, tie it in the hashtag for SOUEVE. We actually had a better engagement rate (before 7.16pm) than Paul Hollywod, UCLLancet17 and Scottishcup. If Twitter went off of natural numbers instead of curating their top ten lists, we'd have been on. But if we include it with other SFC tweets on sunday, It goes Viral. Thanks to all that took part.
  20. If Maurico has already gone by 4pm tomorrow then feel free to ignore this. Unless Saints fans make their views public, there will be no pressure felt from our direction. While I can't speak for the Gao's, I know the the previous regime were terrified of negative views making it into the traditional media or social network trends, and were relatively happy that the questions about the club were 'quarantined' on this site. As in the wider football community were perplexed that saints fans were unhappy with the displays under Puel. Of course, in order to have an impact, fans would have to decide upon a time and date where they would make their feelings known, and at a time when they would have a large audience hungry for content and 'drama'. Say 6pm on a Monday on twitter, when most people are logging on looking for a distraction after the first day back at work. It would not take much at that time to make twitters top ten trending list, which in turn would draw in more people to a catchy hashtag, say for instance #PellegrinoMustGo And if fans posted in concert between 6-7pm, there would be little that Southampton FC could do to hide the levels of dissatisfaction people have with the current staffing arrangements. Especially if specific names like Black, Watson were also included, and fans didn't resort to any kind of personal remarks (as saints would immediately spin it as online abuse and harassment by trolls). Also including the #SaintsFC and #southampton Hashtags would spread the word when people searched for news about the club. For an example of how quickly this could spread, if 10 people tweeted their thoughts using the hashtag #PellegrinoMustGo Between 6and 7pm, and then retweeted the 9 other posters views that had used the same hashtag, you would go from 10 tweets to a hundred in a matter of minutes. If someone could bump this nearer the time that would be great, as i'm out of posts on here until after 7 tomorrow. Thanks!
