  1. Does anybody have the email for solent, so we can ask a commentator to ask the player concerned on tuesday? Then we can put this boring guessing game thread to bed. :p
  2. Well oh they might wear classic Reeboks Or knackered Converse Or tracky bottoms tucked in socks But all of that's what the point is not The points that's there ain't no romance around there And there's the truth that they can't see They'd probably like to throw a punch at me And if you could only see them, then you would agree Agree that there ain't no romance around there You know, oh it's a funny thing you know We'll tell 'em if you like We'll tell 'em all tonight They'll never listen Because their minds are made up And course it's all okay to carry on that way And over there there's broken bones There's only music, so that there's new ring tones And it don't take no Sherlock Holmes To see it's a little different around here Don't get me wrong though, there's boys in bands And kids who like to scrap with pool cues in their hands And just cause he's had a couple o' cans He thinks it's alright to act like a dickhead
  3. To switch to an orthodox 4-4-2 with Dickson at left back, guly and Lambert up front, and Harding left wing. It didn't work out. Had Lallana been available, this may have worked. Butterfield MOM in my opinion.

    Chief scout?

As Adkins has been trying to tell us, "We've got bodies in the building". Obviously a scared and deperate man.

  6. Best post ever!
  7. Give me a break love. Didn't we have one of those a few years back? Louise? You'll find redknapp hanging out the back of it. I'd smash it. I've got something she could tuck in..... Oh, it's a dude.
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9373280.stm Poor Peter doen't understand. Why was the joke not laughed at and his mate sacked, and why was she out of the kitchen in the first place? It must be about phone tapping.
  9. Wow, I see what you did there. While i took your actual words point for point, you selectively quoted me, missing out important qualifiers, and adding hysterical reactions afterwards, inferring opinions, which btw, I don't actually hold. (btw, i especially liked the bit where you try and make out I'm claiming MLT is not a saints fan; Very spaceage of you). My First ever saints game was a 2-1 defeat to nottingham forest, Jean claude darchville and steve stone for them I think, But it didn't matter, my support was resevered for a saints penalty in the dying minutes. The scorer? Matthew Le Tissier. Though obviously you know everything about my opinion of the man, seeing as you present me as having a borderline hatred of him (though it should be noted, not as half as impressive as your hate for the "the ratfaced foreigner". You do realise that in the part you've quoted me, I say "The chairman" and not "Our Chairman"? Wierd point to make. Although he is our chairman you know. He came in when he nearly folded not so long long ago, you may have heard about it? Oh and Matt get his finger out? The criticism is that he nearly cost the club it's exsistance by championing a hopeless bid. Without Cortese and co, we wouldn't have a team to anable dreams of Higher division football, so maybe you can stop your sad little vendetta, come back down to planet earth, and enjoy the road ahead. I don't think anyone will make you write a valentines to cortese.
  10. Mainly concerning FA Cup and dig at Cortese: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1349692/Lawrie-McMenemy-warns-Southampton-Dont-ignore-greatest-day-clubs-history.html
  11. I was talking about the twisting of my example into an implied opinion of Le Tissier as "basically the equivalent of a trumped up civil servant who doesn't really deserve any kind of honour or respect", and even worse, someone who would think that Ted Bates (a very humble old Gentleman who I had the pleasure with speaking to on two occasions) should have his statue torn down. You did write these things, It shouldn't be that hard to remember. Oh, and it was three sentences, do try and keep up. Really, are you going to compare the life of Ted Bates, a man who served with distinction not only as a player, and retired a full decade before the lifting of the £20 footballers wage cap, had his house bombed, and went on to manage, direct and chair saints, to Matt Le tiss? Their wages and situations were so different it's almost as big of a joke as you bringing it up. Exactly, so what, we should be putting a few more hurdles to jump in the way? "hey guys, it appears you've attended the requisite number of games, paying out the not inconsiderable amount of money required in the process. Just one last thing, are you friends with Matt le Tiss? No? Oh well sorry, **** off then, LOL". I already realise this. If Matt had phoned up for 1 or 2 tickets and been refused at the general sale stage, I'm guessing there would be a lot more sympthay, as that is when the exec comp/scalpers also get involved, and I'm sure anyone would prefer 'real' fans to get those tickets. Or he could had he not bleated to the downmarket Star.Or stop digging at the chairman, and pretending he and his consortium buddies were super billionaires including Donald Trump, Ruth Badger, Paul allen and the real Slim Shady.
  12. Wow, you are an angsty one, no? You seem to look to twist anybodys opinion of the subject into a grotesque personal attack. As I said above, it was the fact that these people had already received adulation and special treatment, in addition to premiership wages as a reward for bringing sainst fans goals and excitement. So shouldn't the ordinary working man who helped pay those wages and continues to pay to watch saints on a regular basis after our fall from grace get tickets over the mates of MLT, who have actually done bugger all to derserve them (unless they have attended enough games, in which case it's a lazy attempt at queue jumping). Your weird straw man arguement involving Ted Bates is a bizzare point to raise, not only because no-one has mentioned him, but becuase he was from an era where professionals did not have the same amount of finanacial reward as they do now, and Dedicated his life to the club where he was known as 'Mr Southampton'. You strange person.
  13. This whole issue reminds me of an episode of Yes Minister I watched not half an hour ago. Humpy was arguing that Honours were a just reward for the Civil Servants dedication to duty and Loyalty. Hacker pointed out that they were rewarded through their massive wages, they were paid for doing their jobs, and everybody else has to work hard and do something more for theirs. Ah, found the episode. From around 6.00 onwards: [video=youtube;oOozy1jd-Io]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOozy1jd-Io
  14. Christ, those were bad times. Especially since on the old S4E at around the same time, Keef would ban/censor anyone who didn't agree with the guys who had bribed him. The ****.
  15. Has a BA (Hons) in Adkins media training
  16. I propose the forum song boffins get on this ASAP. Frankly anyone who can't see the vital and downright marvellous work he has done and continues to do for the club needs to contact the police or medical professions to alert them to their dangerous mental state. He reminds me very much of a more connected and charming version of Lowe. Though actually having met Lowe more than once, I would say he was a genuine tryer, who only wanted the best for the club, and certainly a million miles away from the image of a moustache twirling baby eater who became aroused every time we lost a star player or suffered relegation, as he was often portrayed on here. Hence why I think Cortese has the right idea with his dinners for fans/ Q and A.
  17. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/news/Travelling-fans-left-queue-like-refugees/article-3064470-detail/article.html Can't afford to pay staff to money from oposition supporters. LOLphins.
  18. It's a curious situation, no? He isn't available for loan (at least you would think he isn't given how quickly the likes of Wally Lancashire were snapped up) but isn't near the first team at the moment either.
  19. ...From the current squad? With Adam and Oxo both being linked with January moves, what other players from the squad can make the step up? The likes of Fonte obviously spring to mind.
  20. This. Plus Hammond, who i was critical of earlier this season sounded like he had a good game, apart from a free Kick (though when I was sat next to KBS and he thought Guly was rubs, I still thought he would come good). Oh, and the contrast of Steve Cotterils 'Gareth from the office' interveiews and Adkins Cheeky chappy style is magnificent.
  21. I lean to the left as much as any Liberal guardian reading tree hugger, but this case makes me not only support calls for stronger deportation laws, but also the lessening of the consideration given to the human rights act in these sort of Judgments. I can't believe that any country would think: Blow your beans up some girls muff = Right to stay, is a system worth preserving.
  22. Either way, I'd find a way to wake her up.
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-11897472 as long as she's legal...
  24. I'd love to have him here again, but if we get him back, those fat retard kids will keep on trying to pitch invade. Pass.
