  1. Did anybody else hear the solent commentator allude that future coverage may be no more uunder BBC Trust plans?
  2. *Lawrie MAC* obviously
  3. Anybody know if peace broke out today?
  4. Excellent Result. I still think Boro and Brighton will start losing games qiuicly, while we've gone from 'either play brilliantly and win by 4 or five, then lose to **** teams' to 'Win ugly if you have to' I'll take the latter all the live long day..... The run was long but you ran it, Lambert If there's a shot to take then you slam it, Lambert If there's a free kick to take then you man it, Lambert Now I've one thing to say and that's Dammit, Lambert, We love you...
  5. Went to the Game alongside K Billy's Supersound, (and only a few seats across from Bart, who looked quite Spry and Happy with some Polish Friends) First Half wasn't that great, as we all know. Not helped by yeovil playing Hoof or head (in fact I didn't see their left back (who launched into oxo later) control the ball it for the first half an hour with his feet *****il he skied it). They played very negatively, with only one up front, and only keeping one in our half some of the time *****il they were 3 down, and switched to 3 up front, how odd!). Their supporters were tard-ish, what with "premier league you're having a laugh". Just seemed desperate for attention. Our midfield was bypassed for the first half half well by hoofing, and Chaplow's wrongful booking (if anybody has seen the video and it a foul, I stand corrected, but it looked like he had won the ball fairly), neutered his aggressive game. Adkins spent the first 20-25 minutes screaming at 'deano' because he wasn't doing anything, and returning to the dugout with a face like Thunder several times. Our Silent captain gradually improved. How Butterfield (or Fonte in his absence) is not Captain is beyond me. Several times, Danny would rollick and instruct the back line, as well as coach those in front of him, whilst Hammond was having to be reminded of basics of pass and/or move, and didn't say a peep to help the team! Great vision from Danny on the first goal, too! Barnard worked hard and deserved a hat trick, though I would have preferred to see Lambert go for goal rather than tee up his mate for a third. One thing I liked about Oxo's was that he had a pop from distance, which IMO we don't do enough! Thought Gobern was good when he came on , and seems to be improving all the time whilst I was really willing Fonte in that one-on-one to get the monkey off his back (seems a confidence player). Oxo made me worry when he went down injured (anybody know what happened?) and his attempted cross that left him spinning into the ground was lolsome. Like many others, I like Martin as a player, but he looked nervous on Tuesday, Jhaidi on Saturday please! And Prof and Charlie Wayman, not being funny but you two are either trolls or mental. A solid 3-0 win were we don't get out of second gear but comfortably win in a warm up for Saturday, is not irrefutable proof that we will miss out on the playoffs. I'm sure there are certain mewing 'fans' on here that would prefer a loss to Bournemouth tomorrow so they can engage in a negativo ****fest against Adkins.
  6. Some stray observations on the 'Great Escape' 2-0 The heroes of the Blackburn 3-3, Marian and CMFG are vital once again. IIRC, Marsden had been slaughtered by most Saints fans before then. "but it's saints who be sweating on a trip to the bescott stadium to play wallsall next season" Oh how times change. As questionable as his recent actions are, you can really see how much Le tiss cares in his after shot reactions. Oliver Dacourt was the only player to care for them, and took us on all by himself! As pointed out by Crab Lungs - The excellent 'One Vision' complete with 'Dell Crackle' to lead the team out! Kachloul! I don't care about the Ipswich/villa affair. Still got big love for the Man. Unlike Hughes, who I can't belive some fans were chanting his name. Useless, egotisitcal Budgie!
  7. Amy has sent it to Wikileaks?

    Adkins

Maybe because Barnard might be doing bird in a little while he doen't want the team to get used to playing around his style?
  11. Not Sure. I do know that Brighton's isn't good enough though! http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/Latest/0,,10433~2303320,00.html Gus Poyet insists the disruption to Albion's pre-match routine had nothing to do with the below-par performance against MK Dons. The squad were forced to travel to stadium:mk in a convoy of taxis after the team coach broke down at the team's hotel prior to the game.
  12. Hear, Hear! Did you go today, or listen to the whisper and the lisper?
  13. Cortese should have claimed this was the (early) official 125th year celebrations. Just for the reaction from some!
  14. Plus 'one vision' to come out at the start of the match and half time:
  15. 4-1. Put your house on it!
  16. I miss the guy. Met him a couple of times and seemed like a geuninely 'good' guy. Any chance he can get him back to do half time? I still credit our comeback 4-2 win against Newcastle in the rain at the dell to him and his HT pep talk. So much better than the current guy. On a related note, did Jim branning from eastenders once lead a brass band out on the pitch, or am I going mental.
  17. 1-3. Lambert, Hammond and Fonte. (Just a feeling, not based on form or fact!) Happy days.
  18. So true. Like Minty, I am open to the possibility to the fact the club may be for sale soon. A 5% possibility. It's clear that there are those deeply opposed to Cortese (or anyone who supports him). Ex-players and managers, a few fans who used to be closer to the club. This Journo obviously doesn't like Cortese (read the article linked above). Doesn't mean the story isn't true, just means he would have less reason to hold back if it isn't. His post actually contains less info than the cluster**** nothing story that was in the daily mail a while back. Or the ******** rumour about the ex-saints mayflower night (which the ex-saints distanced themselves from), about the players and management being banned from said event (which was ********). Published in the, er daily mail. Or the ******** rumour that Cortese had sold AOC to 10 different clubs in the.. oh But just wait for the familiar voices to say that anybody who disbelieves such things are naive freaks who don't know what an utter bastard Nicola Cortese (sorry - CLOTESE LOLZORZ!111 AMIRITE) is, with his ambitions and perk stopping and such. And then deny there is any continued campaign against the Chairman, whilst claiming that anybody who doesn’t agree isn't 'mature' enough to be able to stand fair criticism of the club (just a thought, there is a big difference between devils advocate, based on established and sourced facts, and being serial contrarian against the club, picking up on every unsubstantiated bit of mudslinging against the club and running with it as proof). After all, such luminaries have in the past been in contact with the hotbed of football info, the Bournemouth physio. Whilst others have seen fit to assure us mere mortals by that they have saved the club, by being part of the organisation of saints fans that Wilde has proxied his shares to (which turned out to conditional unless he disagreed with said fans) which meant he was a cool rich trustworthy guy. That alone makes them the only people to listen to. One thing I would say Manji, is that everyone has an agenda. Just some are easier to spot than others.
  19. What came first, the chicken or the egg? Or The article written by Lawrie rushing all of a sudden to make it clear he's open to being Cortese's BFF, or the invite to the same room as Nicola by Eddie Mitchell? IMO it doesn't matter as long as bridges are built (or at least attempted). Let's just hope steady eddie doen't make LM walk up the side steps, he doesn't want an article in the mail about that, LOlZORZ111.
  20. Yes I remember that, they said they should rename the station 'Radio Saints'. Then AB stated he was impartial he was making a whinge list and put that, and similar texts on there. Then a few weeks later said 'we' had played really well, when referring to saints. Still, not as epic as the old mabel who phoned up merrington recently. You could hear whispering dave and co laughing as they took the call! Or just after the sian massey thing, when one of our commentators said his 'wife could have fininshed better than that' pause 'or my gran (slight panic audible)'. "Or in fact, any person at all who isn't very good at footbal (relief was tangible!)". I'd rather stick with a balanced view. Let others get **** on their heads, while being told it's raining.
  21. What do we want? Wallowing in past glories! How do we want it? Pinnacle!
  22. I think we may have found the reason for Hypos's drunkeness on valentines day! Here you go pal. not my cup of tea, but fill your boots. http://www.fatchicksinpartyhats.com/ bon appetit.
  23. Or the fact that they are repsonsible for any libel you make, may have something to do with it
