Very Excited. Fresh Budgets, Targets researched and scouted, and no January Premium on the players. On top of that, Ralph gets a Pre-season to establish how he wants to play. I just hope that they turn out to be decent when they get here.
-
I think fans have every right to be disappointed. I get that we could only loan out Cedric and Hoedt, and we still have Forster and Austin draining the wage budget, but I would have at least liked Maehle to have arrived before Summer.
-
I think Alfie Jones has the potential to our First Choice CB for the next ten years. Still a hell of a lot of work to do, but it is there.
-
Ok... So here is What I have been told. Cedric/Maehle: The most long-running and still the most likely. We were hoping to have either Hoedt or Cedric gone for a reasonable (permanent) fee, or obligation to buy. That didn't happen, so now we have the complication of two defenders possibly coming back. We are still trying to get this over the line, but now have to structure our offer differently. Che Adams: Has been looked at for a potential summer signing (but only as potential, not number 1), but after Mepham was snapped up by Bournemouth we are now more cagey about waiting on our targets. If we can get him under a decently structured deal, and Jean-Kévin Augustin doesn't come off, this will go ahead. But right now looks like agents bigging it up trying to create a market. Jean-Kévin Augustin. Dream signing, but very unlikely. would take a chuck out the Summer transfer Budget, and RB feel that certain parties are playing a media game right now. I saw on the thread someone post that RB are likely to drop their price, but I have been told the exact opposite. Unnamed Winger/outside forward: Hasn't been named in press so won't spill the beans here. I've never heard of him, But I hadn't heard of RH so, I guess that doesn't mean much. Seems to have the required pace and power, but the Premier league is pretty unique, so will be interesting to see if he makes the step up.

3-1 Saints
-
Have text my source for an update, will post in 24 hours.

Hope zaha and townsend play the 90. Palace very keen on fouling even after the penalty. We should be able to exploit that.
-
Same. Would have put a tenner on palace but old man speroni might own goal a backpass.
-
People need to wait until the end of the window before claiming we are weaker.
-
They copied my homework and changed a few of the words around lol.

I don't blame Ralph or even RK or Gao that much, to be honest. Gao and RK explained to Ralph the transfer situation when he was approached to be our new manager, and while he doesn't seem over the moon with the situation, he does accept it. Gabbiadini out and Davis/hoedt loans free up enough cash that we shouldn't have to dip into summers transfer funds to cover Ings, which is all for the good. I can't speak for other fans, but I'd rather Ralph has a full range of options in the summer, rather than dip into the advance now and gamble on an overpriced replacement. If we can get the players in on Loan, fine. Otherwise, I'm a lot more excited by a team training intensively under Ralph for 10 days without interruption than I am transfer countdowns.

13 points. Win 4, draw with Burnley. If Arsenal were full strength, no question they would beat us in a tight game. But they have mounting injuries in defence and no money to spend on replacements. I'd also have given crystal palace a draw if they didn't play spurs 3 days earlier.
-
I can't speak to the rest, but letting Alfie Jones leave will come back to bite us if it happens, IMHO.
-
Personal Highlights of the match: JWP becoming the player we all knew he could. Dugout Pioneers scoring a lolworthy own goal. Beryl texting Solent over Tyreke Johnson spitting. 8 minutes of 4 minute injury time.
-
Eric B, plus I haven't heard anything to say that Cedric has accepted the deal. So at the very least, it looks unlikely before the weekend.
-
Received this Monday. Can only presume the deal for Cedric is already done in this case. Have texted to get more information on the deal.

Saints vs Derby - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay Thread
Guan 2.0 replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Head says we beat them, but Heart hopes we absolutely D*ck them. Playoffs aside, K Billy and I have both been to pride park on numerous occasions and have yet to see Saints win, usually with Derby scoring after cynical gamesmanship 5-0. I hope Shane long gets a Hat-trick, and all the Derby fans get Diarrhoea. -
Romeu immense. Saints playing as a team. What turnaround it's been under Ralph Hasenhüttl. Onwards and upwards, now let's smash Derby. Very Happy tonight! :D:D

'New' Poster? Check. Already starting topics? Check Username related to first topic? Check Odd font, as if the topic was prepared somewhere else, and copied here? Check. I know our fishy friends are upset that Ben Thompson went back to Millwall, but coming over here won't change that.

They Sent him off instead.
-
Someone we can get in on Loan with a view to a permanent move, rather. But the danger is there that if they shine, the number of clubs interested/Price increases.
-
Someone who wants a 'decent' number two. Ralph likes him, but Ralph also wants funds. So far we don't have enough from sales to even cover the Ings Signing. If the club thinks he is the asset easiest to sell, and the player wants to go, he will still go. See also: Wanyama, Pelle, Fonte, VVD, Mane, Lovren, Clyne, Shaw, Schneiderlin.

(♪, ♩) I get up when I want, except on Wednesdays when I get rudely awakened by the Manager (Parklife!) I put my tracksuit on, have a cup of tea and I think about leaving me house (Parklife!) I give the oppo fans the V sign, I sometimes give our own fans the sign too, it gives me a sense of enormous wellbeing (Parklife!) And then I'm happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge I won't have to play the next two matches! (♪, ♩)

FWIW, Cabbage face's outgoings are pretty spot on. Macca is indeed the next one we are hoping to cash in on.

Hopefully, the extra funds will allow us to bring a striker in. #WhipRound
