  1. In Kats pocket (is this even possible)? Covering debts? More infrastructure? New players?
  2. The board (especially Reed) has gotten a lot of stick for not being able to keep our best players, and lately there has been more and more muttering over lack of signings. But my biggest concern, and what I see as the most worrying sign of poor management, is that new contracts hasn't been offered to Cork and Fonte. This should really be a no-brainer, as they both are quality players and important figureheads in our squad. Latest news from Alex Crook (yeah, yeah, he only gets his news from this forum, blah, blah) is that a Fonte has been promised a new contract by letter, but yet nobody has talked to him in person. Fonte, according to Crook, is not happy with the way negotiations has taken place. This adds to a number of examples of poor communication between the club and the players, as also Adam Blackmore has reported about. Now, I know Guan indicated that contract will be taken care of, but that the club priority at this time is to make new signings happen. Imo the club should be more worried about keeping the players we already have happy, or else they might have to find replacement for them as well. Cardiff has already shown interest in Fonte (and according to Crook offered him better wages than we will), and I'm sure many clubs are drooling over Cork as well. Hope I'm wrong, but this situation is imo the most worrying symptom of the boards lack of competence when it comes to football matters.
  3. He's basicly saying that he will be off if any of the 5 big clubs want him. Will never, never win the title with Spurs.
  4. Good lb?
  5. Wasn't that the season where we played brilliantly against West Ham and/or Arsenal in preseason?
  6. Agree with the Lambert one. Happy to help with a few £ if thats necessary.
  7. One thing is for sure: the premier league needs to change. How long will fans of every club apart from 5-6 accept that their team will never have a realistic chance of a making top 4?
  8. You have to be kidding about Surman?
  9. According to Alan Nixon we're not selling Shaw until we have a replacement lined up.
  10. To be honest: wouldn't be very sad to see him go.
  11. Good interview. Interesting that neither of them seems to think Pelle will move here.
  12. You watch a lot of swiss and dutch football?
  13. Doesn't the transfer window open on the 9th of june? (at least i does on fm.....)
  14. Don't want Koeman. His man management at Valencia was really dreadful. Got all the players against him pretty quick. Even Joaquin, who never says something negative spoke about him in very bad terms.
  15. Rumours about Leonardo Ulloa as replacement for Lambert. Has scored a few goals, and is quite big. 27 years old.
  16. Answer to op: no! But if wi hire a great manager and sign some too quality plsyers, then yes.
  17. Both parties wanted a change. Basel not very keen to keep him.

    Monk's Corner

Well said Monk. Krueger said we are in full control of our transfers. Then why on earth did we let Liverpool boss us around so easily with Lambert? It just doesn't make sense.
  19. The latest weeks has really made me realise how good the last 5 seasons has been. Not been this depressed since we went into admin.
  20. We have to let him go. It hurts, but he wants Liverpool, and after alle he's done for us we should give him the oppurtunity. At least it's not West Ham...
  21. Spoke to a guy who knows swizz football very well. Said we should avoid Yakin at all cost. Basel is almost like Celtic in Scotland, would win the league no matter who manages them. Also, Basel chose not to give him a new contract, he didn't quit.
  22. It's Yakin or Howe for me. If given time, I think Howe could be our David Moyes (except the boring football)
  23. Sounds exciting. Maybe he can replace Pochettino when he gets sacked in 18 months?
  24. AVB was also regarded a class manager. Got very little time.
