I really hope we trash them. I hate QPR and their moron fans who worship Tony Fernandes, the man in charge of the biggest laughing stock in premier league.

List of players the experts of Saintsweb at some stage have written off
ToreSF replied to ToreSF's topic in The Saints
With "the experts of Saintsweb", I refer to those posters who regularly starts threads like the Ramirez one. I'm fully aware that most on here are more sensible. And yes, I really think those posters are either WUMs or doesn't have a clue about football. The players mentioned on the list (and you could toss in a few more) have all at some point (some more often than others) been written off, and most of them have proved to be good players for us. -

Agree that it hasn't been an overwhelming consensus about most of the players, but so what? The post is aimed at those who constantly write players off after a bad string of performances. -

James Beattie is another one that springs to mind. Scored six goals in 61 appearances his first two seasons here. Point is, there is no point writing young players off as it's quite impossible to be sure if they are going to make the level or not. Thanks to the patience of the people who run our club, we have six players in our first team with over 100 apps. Then look to a team like QPR with no continuity at all... -

I think it applies to most players on the list. The impatience of some posters on here is incredible. -

Stating that a player had a bad performance is one thing, claiming that he "will never deliver", "not good enough for this level", "useless", etc. etc. is something completely different. -
Those who write off Gaston already doesn't have a clue about football. History is full of players who didn't perform in their first season in PL, but then stroke back the next campaign. Gaston is young, clearly talented, and bagged with potential. Have some ****ing patience for once. Oh, and 110_persain:

Who will it be? Can Jake Sinclair cut the mustard? How about Ryan Seager? Does anyone watch our academy teams regularly?
-
Think he is fourth choice after Lallana, Fonte and Lambert. Captained us against Chelsea, didn't he?
-
I refuse to beleive that football players choose which club to play for based on who they support.
-
The only way I can see Luke Shaw leaving is if wants it himself, or if Chelsea are willing to pay silly money.
-
Wait a minute. Hanging on to him through the bad years? Didn't we sign him in our relegation season? So Lowe only hung onto him for one year until administration and then Cortese stepped in
-
And how rarely Lambert has been injured!
-
Combination of both, I guess. All of them are players who had the potential to become good PL players when they came, but not without guidance, good management and experience through first team football. Imagine in three years time, I guess we could add Shaw, Clyne, Forren, Cork, Ramirez and Jay Rod to that list. Davis and Guly would probably be out, but Lambert could still play a role. That could make our starting eleven consist of 10 players with over 100 apps. Maybe not to likely, but would be a huge strength IMO.
-
In comparison, QPR has none.
-
So has Lallana (2006). Current players with most apps: Kelvin Davis: 283 Lallana: 212 Schneiderlin: 184 Lambert: 184 Hammond: 145 Fonte: 137 Guly: 102 Shows a pretty good sign of continuity that we have six players in our our first team squad with over 100 appearances, especially when you take into consideration that we played in league one three years ago.

"Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, crap to crap."

Which players do you reckon have read 50 shades of grey?
ToreSF replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
Lallana definitely. -
Great news!

Next round for the bottom teams: Everton v. Reading Southampton v. QPR Wigan v. Liverpool Aston Villa v. Man. City. Very good chance for us to get a six point clearance to the drop. Can't see Reading getting more than a point, and either Villa or Wigan or both will loose. That leaves us to beat QPR.....
-
True. But thats whats make it important to close off QPRs midfield.
-
First one should be other way around. Apart from that, brilliant!
-
It's a must win game, and a game we really should be winning. For some reason, I've seen most of QPR's matches since Redknapp came in, and they really are a terrible side. Absolutely no plan going forward, no goal scorers and they rely on Taraabt way to much. It could be a tough challenge to get through their defense, but there should be some space for our attackers as QPR are in desperate need to win and must attack.
