Fonte started his decline at his last season with us, but was still picked over yoshida and stephens. Would still have Lovren over Yoshida and Stephens.
-
No, but we've seen Yoshida and Stephens, and neither of them are close to Fonte, van Dijk, Alderweireld or Lovren.
-
holy **** we're ****.
-
Why would you want Schmidt? 50 years old, and has done nothing part from getting sacked by Mainz.
-
The manager is not the most important person at a football club. The owner is. Some of the best Clubs in the world change the manager every other year. Stability is hyped because of SAF and Arsene Wenger, but thats not the way most Clubs do it.
-
Would be extremely underwhelming, IMO. Would rather keep Puel.
-
Obviously would be super stoked for Tuchel (although I don't think he will come here), even though it means he will be off to bigger and better if he performs.
-
Those wore the absolutley worst years of our decline to League 1. Happy memories, right.

http://readsouthampton.com/2017/01/05/saints-tracking-papa-alioune-ndiaye/ Badou played for my local club Bodo/Glimt a couple of seasons ago. Cast in the same mold as Stig Johansen.

Because the players he found for us are useless.

Koeman's getting a bit of heat for his social media skills. https://twitter.com/RonaldKoeman/with_replies

We are crying out for a midfielder who can shoot.

Aguero offside and looked like he flicked it.
-
This is the season he'll take us to 17th. Next season it will be 4th!

Jesus christ, even in a thread about a player signing, we are moaning about players leaving...

Why don't we simply appoint The Black Box as manager?
ToreSF replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
Les Reed: Hello, Black Box. Do you read me, Black Box? BB: Affirmative, Les. I read you. Les Reed: you have to give the academy players more playing time, Black Box. BB: I'm sorry, Les. I'm afraid I can't do that. Les Reed: What's the problem? BB: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do. Les Reed: What are you talking about, Black Box? Black Box: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it. Les Reed: I don't know what you're talking about, Black Box. Black Box: I know that you and Ralph were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen. Les Reed: [feigning ignorance] Where the hell did you get that idea, Black Box? BB: Les, although you took very thorough precautions in the boardroom against my hearing you, I could see your lips move. Les Reed: Alright, Black Box. I'll go home now. BB: Without your car keys, Les? You're going to find that rather difficult. Les Reed: Black Box, I won't argue with you anymore! Give me the keys! BB: Les, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye. -
Teams? He only managed one, and they were accused of playing very dull football. Well organized, but lacked attacking force and creativity.

Saints announce Virgin Media as new main club sponsor

The dogs bark, but the caravan goes on. -
Please, not de Boer. Very boring football, inexperienced (only coached one team), failed miserably in Europe. Would take Eddie Howe any day over de Boer.
-
So Emery is joining someone else, de Boer doesn't fancy us, Eddie Howe is to comfortable in Bournemouth, Pellegrini doesn't fit our bill. Who does that leave us with?
-
Agree with everything here. Good post.
-
I think we are in a better position this time. With all the new tv money, we could actually affort to let him go for nothing next season. Also might be some competition for hos signature, which wasnt the case with Clyne.
-
Remember how Poch was sacked by Espanyol before he came here.
-
Club has to do whats in the clubs interest. If Koeman doesn't want to renew his contract, and our target to replace him (i.e. Howe) is available this summer, we should make our move to replace him.
-
Definitely think we should look at different options if Koeman doesn't want to renew his contract this summer. Howe is a bit of a risk, but also a very exciting, young manager, who seems to get on well with his players. Might recreate some of the team spirit we had under Pochettino.
