Only going to benefit the private rental sector and mean that folks such as myself won't be able to get on the housing ladder any time soon. But when you consider that 1 in 5 MPs are landlords (compared to 1 in 33 across the general population) you can see why this may have been included. Step 1 - Sell off council houses Step 2 - Don't build enough houses to replace them Step 3 - Keep people paying high rental prices Step 4 - Profit

He just found out they do hot dogs at the stadium, so he's in a good mood. Good save from their keeper just then to claw Isgrove's header off the line. Looking good on the counter, Juanmi is pretty nippy!
-
We go 1-0 down after some dodgy keeping, then equalise straight from the kick off with Juanmi!

Not difficult to trump Labour's manifesto, it was pretty poor. This is definitely a step in the right direction and a nice addition to the budget, however the cynic in me can't help but feel that it's been stuck in there to counter-balance all of the bad PR from the welfare cuts.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/george-osbornes-living-wage-is-not-actually-a-living-wage-says-living-wage-foundation-10375897.html Still, at least the Tories can bleat on in Parliament for the next 5 years about how they've "introduced a living wage". Just, you know, not one you can actually live on.

Pff, I did this with Elliott Ward back when it was cool.

Next time you read a post from the doom-mongers on here, just imagine they were touching themselves when they wrote it. That takes away all their power. IF Toby signs for Spurs in the next few days it'll be a mighty shame but there are other players out there - not the end of the world.

This is the whole crux of Brand's argument - we are directly contributing to the deaths of countless others by selling arms to human rights abusers. Can you imagine the backlash if the gun used in this attack had been one we'd sold?

He's got a great left hook on him! Handy to have that in our squad..

Sky Sports News producers decide on the 'throw enough sh!t' tactic in effort to be right at least once, according to Sky sources.

You're using a Carole Malone piece as evidence for that? Really? She's one to talk about grabbing headlines... If you watch Brand's follow-up video (i'll even put it below) responding to comments that Jeremy Kyle made, he articulates fairly well about this just being part of a wider social context - why are people getting so riled up about somebody saying that a minute's silence isn't particularly worthwhile when we're flogging arms that people use to commit this kind of atrocity to just about anyone? Doesn't make sense to me...

THE MARCH: Saints launch monthly documentary series
SuperMikey replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Spurs have an internet army of child soldiers. They're like the Joseph Kony of Premier League teams. -
My mate's voting in this today: No idea how it's going to go - people seem to be losing confidence in Tsipras but they don't want to give in to what they see as bullying by its creditors.

Benefits Cheats are actually Companies - Apparently.
SuperMikey replied to Twiggy's topic in The Lounge
Unfortunately that's the problem. There are exceptions to the rule - some companies like John Lewis and B&Q look after their employees very well and are still very profitable. It's still BAU to put profit over people though, and this government definitely aren't the ones to step in over that kind of behaviour and try to influence it. -

You're missing the point entirely. The point is that Next made nearly £700m in profit last year but they pay some of their employees so poorly that the state has to subsidise their wages when the company can quite easily correct that themselves by paying them properly. It's completely unethical. -

Oh, poor them. Only £695m in profits last year - boo hoo! You really are a f*cktard of enormous magnitude. -
Also he has been mentioned a little earlier on being linked to West Ham, but Aymen Abdennour would be a great signing if we don't manage to get hold of Toby. Ogbonna too.

There's no way of knowing how Cedric will do for us, but he has a good reputation in Portugal at club and national level and Fonte rates him highly so it bodes well. Time will tell though, so it's very unfair to say that we've regressed when he may turn out to be a better player for us than Clyne was. I would say bringing in an experienced keeper like Stekelenburg on a loan deal is definitely strengthening - would you rather we kept Kelvin and Gazza for another season? Buying somebody like Krul or Begovic like a lot of people were suggesting wouldn't work out long-term as they will want to be first choice, which Forster is undoubtedly for us. What do we do when we have Forster and his replacement fit? This deal works for all parties involved. Again, bit unfair on Juanmi. Similar to Cedric he has a good reputation at club and national level and is very versatile which means we may see him take up more attacking midfield roles while the likes of Shane Long are pushed up to more of a striker role (where he's more comfortable). Besides, the amount we paid for him represents a good deal for somebody that just won a cap for Spain and is viewed as an important part of their national team's future. Do we know how to start a campaign any other way by now? I'm not sure what constitutes an improvement to you - the players we've signed could well be improvements but we have to see whether that's the case or not. We all know by now the level to which we scrutinise new arrivals at the club (Osvaldo aside...) so people at the club have faith that they'll deliver. I'd rather be signing young, promising players like we have than splashing cash left, right and centre on 'established Prem players'.
-
He's absolutely right - the minute's silence is an utterly futile gesture. Obviously these attacks are horrific but we perpetuate the cycle of violence that this is a part of by peddling arms to anyone willing to pay. Each gun that we sell to a country on our own 'human rights abusers' list is potentially another incident like this (only it probably won't involve British people so it doesn't really matter).
-
Well, at least he's gone. Ultimately that's only going to be a good thing for the club, not to have him hanging around.

Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
SuperMikey replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Good luck to Clyney and the rest of our undercover agents in their mission to make Liverpool a mid-table club. Not an ambitious move for him at all but he'll get paid considerably more and have a better chance at nailing down that RB spot for England, so good luck to him. Just think he could've done a lot better if he'd been more patient. -

Yes, it's just like Wimbledon.
