  1. I guess in the absence of Morgan, Big Vic and Gaston we don't really have much choice. I would imagine he'll probably end up playing a second striker role, pushing up behind Gallagher with Flannigan covering in midfield.
  2. You don't get MLG points for merely correcting a mistake, there has to be a certain level of panache displayed. They're very difficult to attain.
  3. +1 MLG point for you, Sir.
  4. Watched Edge of Tomorrow last night - really enjoyed it! Not really a huge fan of Cruise but thought he was great too. Film was really well paced, good action and interesting plot. People complained about it being too short, but I think if they'd bumped the running time up past 2hrs most of the scenes would've just been filler. Definitely worth a watch!
  5. Pancake when he thought of that joke.
  6. All the buzz seems to be around these at the moment, their album is a good listen. To use a cliche, they sound like the lovechild of The XX and Foals. Can't help but feel it would be improved by some vocals though..
  7. How about Rolf Harris?
  8. Is that an illustration from the sequel you wrote to this book, Tim?
  9. Just going to do the mod's work for them - already being discussed here.. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?50788-Lovren-to-go-on-strike-to-leave/page22#.U8KXwfldWSo
  10. I think if we do end up selling Lovren, we'll sign at least 2 CB's to replace him. Fonte, Yoshida, Hooiveld + 2 new signings should be enough to play 3 at the back - and the likes of Chambers and Wanyama could fill in there too. Still think we'll end up playing a version of 4-3-3 though, although guess we don't have to wait too long to see how we line up in our pre-season friendlies..
  11. I see it has Johnson from Peep Show in it. Is it actually any good Bear? Reviews seem a bit mixed..
  12. I think Honda would play further forward than Morgan or Vic do though, more of an attacking midfielder role. Plus he's great from set-pieces, seen him slamming in free kicks for club & country for a few years now. Maybe the fact he's had a bad season in Italy will give him a point to prove in a league that's probably better suited to his qualities?
  13. Lets have something a bit nicer now, eh? Love this song - the video is great too.
  14. I'll chuck a fiver in too. That week or so without GS was f*cking bliss.
  15. True, he bossed our defence but when it came to putting the chances away he was useless. Wouldn't say he's a bad player, but not the kind we need. Our midfield creates a lot of chances, we need somebody to put them away!
  16. On top of that, he is technically awful - his pace and power are undeniably effective but i've seen him have several absolute howlers where he couldn't hit a barn door. Case in point - Aston Villa away, 12/13 season (the one where Jay Rod dived for the penalty). He had probably 5 or 6 good chances to bury us when it was 0-0 as we never looked like scoring, and he put them anywhere except on target. The one that sticks in my mind is when he had a pretty simple tap-in as Boruc was on his ar5e at the time, and he put it high and wide over the bar. Ask a Villa fan and they'll tell you he blows very hot and cold, not the kind of player we need imo.
  17. Half the price of Marshall, with the added bonus of having CL experience. Wouldn't say no to that!
  18. If we want a CL spot we're going to need at least two.
  19. Ooh, I like that! It seems the 90s revival has spread across the pond now.
  20. Probably posted this several time in this thread already, but this is one of my favourite songs. Neil Hannon is such a brilliant songwriter - shame he's known best for doing the Father Ted theme!
  21. I remember the utter relief when we were bought and our future was secured, but I don't remember ever thinking that being where we are now was a viable option. We couldn't have done it without you Markus, RIP.
  22. Ah. Nothing to see here, move along now...
  23. Guly's had #21 since we got promoted to the Prem..
