  1. Personally i'd like to see either Jermaine Wright or Mikael Nilsson up there.
  2. I'd like to enter Big Brother one year. You'd all vote for me right? I'll take a few saints shirts into the house too to drum up some publicity.
  3. Aside from Brain Training I can't really think of any! The best thing to do is to embrace your inner child and get Mario Brothers and any other platform games. The Zelda game is good also. And if you like sport sims, NFL Madden is alright and Top Spin is a decent tennis sim.
  4. My top five: 1. Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed 2. Scooby Doo on Zombie Island 3. Scooby Doo and the Legend of the Vampire 4. Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase 5. The Shawshank Redemption It was a toss-up between Shawshank and Scooby Doo meets the Harlem Globetrotters for fifth tbh.
  5. Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid Most underrated band ever.
  6. Yeah. Tbf if I was an insurer I wouldn't insure anyone in Wales either.
  7. I think that KK is being touted as 20/1 is because fans are going to get Mike Ashley to step down and Dennis Wise as well, and then KK can come back to manage the club. Why they would want him to manage the club though is beyond me, he's a terrible manager imo.
  8. WHAT THE F*CK. I am seriously giving thought to emigrating.. it's obvious that the british public are complete morons.
  9. I'm 1/4 English, 1/4 Scottish, 1/4 Irish (Rep) and 1/4 Swedish, and the only national team out of those who I don't follow and support is England. The whole team consists of overpaid primadonnas who just don't seem to give a toss that they're playing for their country. I support Scotland primarily, and this is because the Scottish players play with passion. This was evident when they nearly qualified for Euro 2008 ahead of one of the World Cup finalists (and they probably would've qualified had there not been some dodgy refereeing in the final game against Italy). Most players in the Scottish national team have come up through the ranks at their clubs and stuck with that club rather than rejecting contracts and moving around willy nilly like most prem players do nowadays for ridiculous sums of money (James Milner anyone?). I know that there are some highly valued and paid members of the Scotland squad (Barry Ferguson and Darren Fletcher) but the players seem genuinely delighted to be in the squad in the first place, like Kirk Broadfoot, who upon being called into GB's squad to face Macedonia cancelled a holiday to train with the squad. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/7595537.stm). When the players pull on a Scotland shirt they seem proud. When the England players pull on their shirts they seem to be thinking about their wallets. England have some of the most talented footballers in the world in their national team, and they failed to qualify for the Euro championships this year. Whether you put that down to Steve McLaren or the players lack of enthusiasm, it's still appalling. I was in a very crowded pub in London with some people I was working with on work experience when England were playing their final game of the qualifying, and most people seem to agree with me. The players just seem like they don't give a f*ck. If I was Capello I would get rid of the players who don't give 110% for their country and replace them with young, hungry players who actually give a damn and will play their heart out for their country. This is why I despise top flight football at the moment, it has become corrupt and i'm glad people have finally caught on to it. Things just aren't the same anymore.
  10. Tbf there are going to be plenty more football managers about come November.
  11. I agree with SteveGrant about the 3D engine. Even if it is optional, I still don't like it. I always thought the charm of FM was the 2D game engine, because you don't get that on any other football managing sim like you do on FM. I just feel that the game has lost a bit of its originality now. Nevertheless, I shall be buying it in November, so i'll quit b*tching about it.
  12. Just downloaded it, first impression - good. Sleek interface, no clutter as was present in IE but the spell checker is a wee bit annoying, especially if you're using CSS to build a new MySpace and you have whole passages of code with red lines underneath them... I'll give it a try for a couple more days, I didn't like Firefox so it'll be interesting to see how this compares to both Firefox and IE.
  13. Starship Troopers: Classic.
  14. As much as i'd like to say A to make people more interested in the club again, I don't want them to be. I love the club how it is, with our local lads going out and playing football. Ok, so we don't have players who we've spent millions on strutting their stuff on the pitch, and we don't win week in, week out ala Chelsea, but I don't want us to. I love the club just the way it is and I don't really want us to get promoted back to the Premiership, because then all the plastic fans will come back in through the doors, fans who say they support the club, but are only interested in the premiership status. This transfer window has really put football into perspective for me, hell, I don't care if we get relegated and end up playing Eastleigh (and probably losing) in the league. What matters is that the club has soul and the fans have so much passion, and that is why I love SFC. And I can't help but feel that if we did get promoted to the prem and get taken over and have millions pumped into the system that all that would be destroyed. So, in conclusion, B.
  15. Sushi is very nice. If anyone happens to find themselves in Åhus, Sweden someday, there is a very nice restaraunt by the harbour which does a sushi bar on tuesday nights. Top grub and relatively cheap.
  16. I lol'd massively when City signed Robinho, they might be bothering the Arsenal for 4th place this season. Although Jo looks like a pile of crap, not worth that ridiculous fee they paid for him. Robinho will revolutionise the club and then be off to Chelsea next year for £50m.
  17. "It's Bucket"
  18. lol @ this making golden posts. lol @ teens in basingstoke owning BMX shocker.. (I live near and around Basingstoke, can I has cheeseburger?)
  19. Basingstoke f*cking pwns tbh.
  20. Idk, I reckon we could 'ave QPR with 10 men. COYR!
  21. IMO: ------------Davis------------ Thomas--Cork--Perry--Surman ---------Schneiderlin--------- Lallana-----------------Holmes ---------DMG----------------- ----------------John---------- Subs: Bart, Killer, James, Wotton, Pekhart.
  22. They have every right to boo. The performance from the players this afternoon was below par and aggravating. Blackpool played their physical game well and deserved their win. Our team looked lightweight and were completely bossed by the big Blackpool side. If I had been there I would've booed too, we really ought to have picked up 3 points today.
  23. I was really disappointed in the result today, I thought we could've got 3 points out of this game, but the 'We ought to win this game' curse prevails. Davis 8 - Kept us in the game after the defence was sliced open. Perry and Svensson were too slow to cope with Kabba and Burgess and Davis had to make some excellent saves to stop us being 3-0 down at half time. My MOTM. James 6 - Did a decent job but looked weak coming forward and on the ball. His marking was a bit slack too. I'd like to see Hatch given a chance at RB soon. Surman 7 - Looked good on the ball and was a creative force, but his coming forward often left the defence exposed. Perry 7 - Did a great job, kept the strikers at bay for most of the game and was important in corners, but was too slow to cope with Kabba. Svensson 7 - See Perry. White 5 - His passing was quite poor, he was pushed off the ball to easily and his late challenges cost us dearly (eg giving away a penalty). A good one for the future, but based on todays performance Dyer would be a better option for now. Holmes 8 - Did a great job out on the left, but quite often had nobody to deliver a cross too, with McGoldrick and Lallana arriving too late in the box. Key player for us today. Schneiderlin 7 - Had a quiet game but looked assured when called upon, works much better in a midfield role than in defence and maybe he ought to be played in his preferred defensive midfield role in the next few games to help out an otherwise slow and vulnerable defence? Gillett 6 - Gave the ball away far too much and made some bad challenges. Tbf he worked very hard and passed the ball around well, but he needs to compose himself and concentrate on simple passing and not giving the ball away. Disappointing performance considering all the praise he's been getting on here recently. Lallana 7 - Had a fantastic first half, coming close with two efforts and always creating chances. Looked good on the ball and very confident, he was very much the key to how we went about attacking today, although a quiet second half and squandering the chances he had bring down his overall mark. McGoldrick 7 - Was kept at bay by the Blackpool defence and had a quiet game. He wasn't afraid to run at defenders and showed that he has some skill in that respect, but he needed to hold up the ball more often and I feel he could work a lot better with Stern John than Lallana up front. Subs: Dyer 7 - Played well out on the right, scared the defenders a bit with his pace, but was pushed off the ball too easily and didn't really concentrate on the game very much. Wotton 6 - Didn't really have much of a chance to shine, although he made some good challenges and I would prefer him over Gillett in the starting line-up. John 7 - I echo the Sky commentators, why didn't he come on sooner? We looked so much more assured in attack when he came on and he looked dangerous from set pieces, which was where we had been lacking previously. Should be starting imo. My lineup for QPR: -----------Davis------------ Hatch--Perry--Killer--Surman --------Schneiderlin--------- -Dyer-----Lallana-----Holmes --------John---DMG--------- Subs: Bialkowski, James, Cork, Gillett, BWP.
  24. Caterina Murino - aka Solange from Casino Royale. Cameron Diaz...mmmmmmm. Katherine Moennig, that dykey one from the show about the dykes. L Word. She's kind of like Zooey Deschanel lite.
  25. I'm actually feeling very confident about this one, although this is usually the kind of game that we screw up. I'm going to go for 3-0 Saints with DMG, Lallana and Holmes scoring. And Killer to have a goal disallowed.
