  1. St Johnstone, Scottish First Division (hopefully soon to be SPL) team. I support them because my Dad used to take me to see them play whenever we were in Scotland visiting my gran. Went to see them play Burnley in pre-season actually. Burnley were crap then!
  2. Aye, John Fleck is going to be a great footballer in a few years time. Fantastic potential, brilliant technique and skill. Watch this space! Actually, we could loan him if he's not playing at Rangers....Woopert, you get that?
  3. Come to think of it...what happened to that Boyle guy?
  4. [sarcasm]I'm waiting for the Marlon Harewood deal to be finalised..very excited about the prospect of having him and Dailly playing for the mighty saints.[/sarcasm]
  5. -----------Davis--------------- James--Perry--Saeijs--Molyneux ------Surman--Morgan--------- KML---------------------Holmes ---------BWP--Saga----------- Subs: Bart, Lancashire, Gobern, Smith, McGoldrick I know we won't play 4-4-2, but that's the team i'd like to see us put out on Sunday. I think BWP and Saga would play well up front together, although there is a lack of physical presence in the final third which could prove a problem coming up against the big bruisers of barnsley. McGoldrick needs to seriously get his act together. His attitude is appalling, and his goalscoring record this season has been pants considering the number of games he's played. Hopefully Saga can be the man to come in and start scoring goals for us. I've got a good feeling about this weekend, and i'm usually very pessimistic. COYR!
  6. I used to get that to tell me to check the internal drive on my old PC. F*ck knows why, but it doesn't happen on my new laptop. It's just something you need to put up with I guess.
  7. Mumford and Sons - Roll Away Your Stone Brilliant track. These guys are going to be big.
  8. I don't think Olly did too badly yesterday. Don't forget that he's a 19 year old lad who's being expected to keep world class strikers like Berbatov and Rooney (for a lesser amount of time) at bay. He'll be a very good player for us when he gets a bit more experience I feel. He probably could do with a loan spell at a lower league club, but we only really have him and Perry that can play at CB. Him and Perry seem to work well together and I think he should be given a chance to prove himself some more.
  9. As mentioned on another thread, Owain Tudur-Jones would be a good signing. He's been getting a lot of stick on that thread for being injured, but he's very rarely in that position and would certainly add some steel to our midfield. And I also posted a link to a BBC article a while back saying that Arsene Wenger would loan out some of his younger players. Ramsey, Wilshere, Vela and Jay Simpson were all on that list and CDAJFU. Not checked to see if any of them have been loaned out though, so they may not all be available.
  10. Managed Scotland for 5 years and then took over at Coventry and took them from League 2 (!?!) to the CCC in 2 seasons, then took over at Ghana. John Fleck (AMLC, ST) from Rangers is one to watch. He'll be 16 or 17 at the start of the game, so you ought to be able to poach/loan him. Darren Smith from Motherwell is also quite a good player at CCC/League 1 level and is relatively cheap. James Walker (AMR, ST) is also a good buy from Southend, again relatively cheap.
  11. Forest commentator "standing up" due to stewards! LMFAO COYR!
  12. Cork shot just over the bar.... COYR!
  13. Looks like quite a strong team, hopefully we'll do okay today. Anyone got a radio link for the game today? Dying to hear how we get on.
  14. Hard to remember them really, i've been to so many this year... 1. Foo Fighters @ Wembley Stadium 2. Guillemots @ So'ton Guildhall 3. Stevie Wonder @ O2 Arena
  15. Agree with the poster above me, Earnshaw will ruin our defence. 2-0 to Forest.
  16. Today - Ill in bed as I have been since tuesday. Tomorrow - Getting the train to Scotland from Kings Cross whilst still ill. Hope to spread my disease around a bit with some coughing and spluttering. Sunday - Recouperating and Top Gear. Prediction: 2/10 Oh, and I will have no innernets from tomorrow until the 5th of January either, so merry christmas and happy new year folks! Hope you all get exceedingly wasted.
  17. Against my better judgement I bought this game a few days ago. It's nowhere near as good as FM08 or any of its predecessors, but i'm enjoying spending all of Man City's money. If you get into the position where you have a huge transfer budget in the future, I recommend you get Oscar Cardozo. Got him for £7m, he's got amazing stats (Finishing 17, Free Kicks 19, Long Shots 20, Heading 19) and he's scored bags of goals for me so far. Man City are still sitting mid-table though, despite spending over £75m on transfers.
  18. Got a half day on friday, then not back until 7th. Bliss!
  19. He seems like he could be a good manager at this level, and i'd definately prefer him to be manager than Jan. Sign him up!
  20. Oh ffs, what a sh*tty excuse. So the man who is in charge of the team (Jan) is not at fault for the poor results, but the man who is chairman is? What a load of complete bullsh*t. Saying that Lowe is at fault for everything is absolute crap. Like it or not, he's here to stay for the forseeable future. He won the EGM, I don't see any investment coming to the club any time soon and it's not like he's going to leave because of some irate fans. Stop blaming Lowe for everything that is wrong at the club. It is Jan's fault. He's a nice guy and all, and he's shown that we have some talented youngsters at the club, but he's just not good enough. His tactics are very dodgy, as is some of his team selection. I'm hardly a Lowe fan myself, I don't agree with every decision he's made, but it's completely pathetic to see Saints fans passing the buck onto a guy who's not really responsible for our performances on the pitch, which ultimately affects our position, which ultimately affects our financial state. Time to grow up guys.
  21. We're going to get completely buttf*cked. People seem to forget that this Burnley side have beaten two of the Prem's best teams in the cup and they're riding high in the CCC too. We just can't score goals at the moment, and although we've improved defensively from earlier this season, I cannot see us getting anything from tomorrow. 5-0 to Burnley.
  22. A guy tried to convert me to Buddhism outside WestQuay yesterday evening. I didn't appreciate it tbh. F*cking buddhists.
  23. Bloc Party - Intimacy and Cage The Elephant - Cage The Elephant Both very good albums.
  24. Damn, my secret is out. Here I am:
