  1. Colchester at Home I think, could be a good game to start the season on. They're a good L1 side, usually around the play-off places for most of the season and it'll be a good benchmark for the rest of the season to play them, as the play-offs are hopefully our goal.
  2. Probably already been said, but Anthony Stokes from Sunderland. Can play on the right wing or up front, so versatile. Very pacy, good on the ball, definately CDAJFU in L1. Reported interest from Hibernian, but I reckon we'd be a bigger draw than them.
  3. Cricket isn't supposed to be exciting or entertaining. HTH
  4. Like I said before, we should've kept him. Young, talented and a great attitude. I honestly believe that we would still be in the CCC if he'd been in our team this season. Hope he does well for himself in the future, because he deserves it.
  5. The Gossip - Movement The album before 'Standing In The Way Of Control'. God, I love these guys. Just listen to 'Don't Make Waves' and you will too.
  6. Glad to see Murray win, i've watched most of his matches in this tournament and I have to say he's been really impressive. He certainly has the potential to win Wimbledon this year and I think he will at least get to the semis, but I can only see Federer winning it tbh. However, Murray's game continues to improve and at this rate I can see him being world number 1 within the next couple of years. What we saw at Wimbledon last year was his lack of stamina holding him back, but he's certainly improved that side of his game recently and he could well be a danger to Fed and Nadal, and Djokovic too in Wimbledon this year. (Oh, and he's not British, he's SCOTTISH!)
  7. Saints to be bought by wealthy Arabic business consortium worth over 80p, almost three times as much as Woopert. They will then look to appoint a classic British manager, presumed to be Harry Redknapp, who will bring in Glenn Hoddle as his assistant.
  8. This is true Junction, I would certainly beat the crowds, but I have never really had problems with getting a decent parking spot and camping spot when i've gone on Thursday in previous years. Will bear it in mind though, would be a lot nicer to get a decent spot rather than having to walk a few extra minutes to get to where I want to go! Swanny, thanks for the tips. I've heard about the trek getting to The Park, but the lineup this year for that stage is pretty decent so i'm afraid i'll have to do it sometime Didn't know that they changed the Leftfield area into the Green area, I assumed it was a new area in the 'expanded' site. Will give that a look in too. Definately go to check out Shangri La v2.0 as well, it was pretty good fun last year and it was packed on Thursday, so you may well see me down there! This time in 2 weeks Rolf Harris will be playing on the Jazz World stage! Woooo!
  9. Best bet is to contact the person who made it, if you got it from a forum PM the guy on there, or try and find people who have a similar problem to you by using google. Either that, or try reinstalling the skin.
  10. You must be very unemployed.
  11. There are some major clashes going on with my Glasto plan this year! The Specials/Jamie T Blur/The Prodigy Kasabian/Pendulum Lily Allen/Jack Penate Esser/Spinal Tap This will be a tricky time for me. Most of us will be on-site this time in 2 weeks! Startled last year by the surprisingly large number of people walking around with tents and bags on friday morning looking for a place to camp. The fools. I will personally be leaving at 5am on Thursday morning to get there in good time and explore the new areas of the site. Didn't actually go to The Park area last year, so will have to check that out, along with the new Green area or whatever it's called.
  12. http://www.nme.com/news/glastonbury/45167 F*ck On a lighter note, who is everyone looking forward to the most? I can't wait to see Blur, one of my favourite bands ever and I haven't seen them before. Looking forward to Madness and The Maccabees too, both should be great fun.
  13. Saw him a few times at Basingstoke, looked pretty good there. Moved on to Wycombe and has done well there too. Don't see why he couldn't make the next step up tbh. Shane Cansdell-Sherriff from Shrewsbury CDAJFU as well. Very versatile, can play at CB, LB or LM and would be available for pennies. Good shout imo.
  14. Because he's screwing Ponty.
  15. Our squad isn't really that bad, I just think they suffered from poor management last season. I have a lot of confidence in the squad we have and their ability to perform at L1 level. People say that players like Surman and DMG are rubbish, but I completely disagree. While Surman had a bad time last season, I still rate him highly and don't understand all the criticism he gets. The team that I posted had a good spine (Davis, Perry/Thomas, Wotton/Gillett) and would do well in L1 imo with a few more additions to the squad. Agree with the CBs, but I think it would unsettle the squad harmony to bring in too many new players this season. Perry had a good season at CB, and looked good along Saeijs. We do need a bit more height and aerial ability at the back, and this is something that we should look for in a new CB addition to the squad. I think someone posted about some 6'5 centre back from Gillingham or a team like that who scores goals for fun from set pieces. That is the kind of player we need. As for goalscorers, you may be right that they will be gone by the time we have established a new owner and are on the prowl for players. I think we ought to be looking at loans from Prem clubs, or perhaps players that have fallen out of favour. While we are a L1 club now, we'll still be a big draw in the league, and players will want to come to us. There are plenty of young strikers in the Prem who will come to us on loan and score goals for us, players like Febian Brandy at Man Utd who helped Swansea to the L1 title the season before last and did well at Hereford in L1 last season too. Other players like Ben Sahar at Chelsea and Freddie Sears at West Ham have been told they will go out on loan next season, and they could DAJFU.
  16. GK - Davis, Forecast, Bialkowski/Poke/New Keeper RB - James, New RB LB - Mills, New LB CB - Perry, Lancashire, Thomas, New CB (Saeijs?) CM - Schneiderlin, Wotton, Gillett RM - Thomson, Lallana LM - Holmes, Surman ST - New ST, McLaggon, Euell, BWP Get Rid: Rasiak, Saga, DMG, Pulis, Svensson (retire!) That ought to see us through, maybe get rid of a few more of the higher earners to bring in some good new players who CDAJFU in L1 and the CCC. We need a goalscorer, because Saga and Rasiak will almost certainly be off, as will DMG by the looks of things. New wing backs are also a priority, as i'd ideally like to see Lloyd James being played further up the field in a midfield role, and I don't think that Mills is ready to be a regular first teamer yet.
  17. Brian Blessed on HIGNFY Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1gwVIhJ8II&feature=PlayList&p=3A209BE4C61B7D92&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=23 Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWQFI0UlqOg&feature=PlayList&p=D99186C87554B166&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=5 Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4a0sS3ARV8&feature=PlayList&p=D99186C87554B166&index=6 Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFeJGbLtuog&feature=PlayList&p=D99186C87554B166&index=7 Part 4.5:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIqV7aIgLnA&feature=PlayList&p=D99186C87554B166&index=8 Part 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp3D-xXx-ds&feature=PlayList&p=D99186C87554B166&index=9 Much lol'age.
  18. Enter Shikari - Common Dreads Good follow up to 'Take To The Skies', the St-Albans band's first album. 'Juggernauts' is an absolute beast of a song, guarantee it will stick in your head like a b!tch. Rest of the album is a little ho-hum, few songs which could be deemed as filler, but still listenable. Get: 'Juggernauts', 'The Jester', 'Solidarity'.
  19. The only man who could do that job properly is Angus Deayton. Shame he had to go and p!ss it all up the wall really, eh?
  20. We should try to keep hold of DMG in my opinion. While his form has been slightly underwhelming this season, he's showed glimpses of class in his performances, especially in the latter part of the season. With another season of first team football under his belt I reckon he could be scoring regularly for us in either L1 or CCC, wherever we end up. Having said that, £1m would certainly be a useful thing to have, and it would help us shore up areas of the team that need reinforcing (such as the defence). While we wouldn't get 100% of the transfer fee (Notts Co. would get a large chunk and some would go towards paying back debts etc) a sum of around 600k would be bloody useful in the transfer market. For that we could get a good L1 level goalscorer, the person that sticks in the forefront of my mind is Lee Trundle. Partenered with someone with a good work rate up front (Paterson, White, BWP) he could be prolific for us, and has slipped down the pecking order at Bristol City. However, what i'd really like to see would be us signing Jan Paul Saeijs. He looked brilliant for us when he played, and had a few slip ups, but this was mainly due to the vast changes in playing style from the Netherlands to England. I remember seeing something from Gomes, the Tottenham goalkeeper in the paper pinning his abysmal early season form on the differences between Dutch and English football, he said that Dutch football was mostly played in the middle of the park and 'keepers only really had about 3 or 4 saves to make each match. Being thrown in to a relegation battle in a pretty poor team, under pressure from fans, board, staff, must be pretty difficult. SIGN JPS! Or Lee Trundle.
  21. I'm not Matthew Le God, but I think it is possible. Go on to the Editor and find out the Unique ID that the team has, and save your designed logos and kits in their respective folders with the filename as that code. Just looked the team up on the Editor, and the code is 30019960. HTH.
  22. Cricket is sh*t. Why anyone would pay to watch it is completely beyond me. It's boring as hell. Even the highlights on the news bore me.
  23. Basingstoke again please. Was great to see the lads turn out at The Camrose last year.
  24. Two sharks are swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. One turns to the other and says "Air France is ****in crap, but the food is great!".
