http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/table/default.stm Table's looking interesting now! Still got to make up 16 points to get to Swindon and Colchester, but we've got 3 points and 2 games over Yeovil, Carlisle and Walsall.

Great result today, shows that we can beat the big boys, just a shame we struggle against the wee teams in this league. Onwards and upwards Saints!
-
I don't f*cking believe it, all the results went my way bar Stoke vs Villa, drawing 0-0. Unbelievable

Frightened Rabbit - The Winter of Mixed Drinks FR at their best, lovely. Why aren't they more successful!?

I reckon we'll see something like: -------------Davis---------------- Semi----Fonte----Jaidi------Harding Lallana--Morgan--Deano--Puncheon --------Barnard--Lambert---------- Subs: Bart, Seaborne, Thomas, James, Antonio, Connolly, Papa

My accy for today: £1 stake Stoke v Aston Villa Stoke @ 21/10 Middlesbrough v Newcastle Draw @ 23/10 Southampton v Leeds Southampton @ 13/10 Dag & Red v Rotherham Rotherham @ 5/2 Grays v Hayes And Yeading Draw @ 12/5 Falkirk v St Johnstone St Johnstone @ 13/8 And a potentially very juicy £734 return off that. Here's hoping it's my lucky day!

He looks a lot like Lawrie McMenemy...

Sorry Nick. Can't say i've ever met the guy, but he seems to think that his own opinion matches that of all Saints fans out there. Plus the fact that he's still releasing statements as a member of the Saints Trust (which doesn't even exist anymore) suggests that he's having a hard time getting off his high horse and realising that he's not above other saints fans.

Stevie Wonder is a better goalie than Forecast.

Wonder if Storrie will still be collecting his rather substantial wage in the form of 'advisor' at the club?
-
Well, if Carlisle are not going to sell their allocation, why not give some of it to us? It makes sense, Wembley are selling their tickets block by block so there would be no need for anyone to be moved and Saints fans could get their tickets if they didn't already have them.

I'm pretty good at the kazoo, interested?

As much as Illingsworth is a c*ck, he has got a point about the United vs Villa game. Don't see why we should have over 20,000 seats empty when there were barely any empty seats in the house for the cup final the other week. Surely it makes more sense for Wembley to use a similar (if not the same) seating system for the JPT final as they did for the Utd vs Villa game? They'd make more money from tickets, merchandising, refreshments etc. only at the cost of a few more policemen.

I was waiting at a bus stop when the Google car drove past me where I live. True story. Wonder if i'm on the street view... EDIT: I am there! Huzzah!

Just finished the literary marathon that is Stephen King's 'Under The Dome'. The story centers around a small town in (you guessed it) Maine which one day is trapped inside a large forcefield which covers the entire circumference of the town. An interesting premise, and the book is filled with very well crafted scenes which engross you in the story. King is the master of creating villains as well, with the infuriatingly evil town selectman James 'Big Jim' Rennie being somebody you just want to reach into the book and give a big punch in the nose. The book is obscenely long (877 pages), but it doesn't feel like a slog because the action is so fast paced that you don't even notice turning the pages. Overall a good read, although the ending left me rather disappointed considering the 870 page build up to it. 7.5/10

So what, a piece of the floor came loose, entered his leg and pierced his intestines? F*cking hell...

But the whole point is mate, we're not a big club. For now we remain a small, third division club.

We're not Real f*cking Madrid you know, we are a LEAGUE ONE team, and this could potentially be the first piece of silverware at the club for 34 years, and that is a cause to be celebrated. I agree that an open-top bus might be a little OTT, but I won't cry myself to sleep if a parade does go ahead. Some people really need to get a grip on the reality of the situation we are in. We do have a billionnaire owner (one with actual money as opposed to P*mpey's monopoly billionnaires), we do have one of the best stadiums outside the Prem, we do have a team that is committed to producing the best results that they can and we do have a manager who is turning our club around from the awful season we had last year. That does NOT make us above the Wycombe's, the Brentford's and the Stockport's at this level, because we're all in the same boat. Most of the teams at our level (and below) would kill to be in the position we're in, and what do our fans do? Insult the competition and ridicule it. F*cking ridiculous. I will be at Wembley cheering my team on for 90 minutes, and if we win then I will be ecstatic that we will be champions of something for once. If we lose, then que sera sera, life goes on, and we can look forward to next season. I think some people just need a reality check.
