I'm tall and bald. Started losing my hair around February, turns out I have Alopecia. It works for me though, because I always resented having to pay for haircuts and I get to shower less frequently than before PS: That is not me in my avatar, before anyone quips.

Lots of misinformation going around here, especially with that Standard Life thing. They have announced that they have a contingency plan for IF they decide to move their HQ IF Scotland votes Yes and IF they feel that it's a necessary step. There's been a flood of scaremongering stories coming out in the last 48 hours or so, weirdly enough that coincided with the big push by the main political parties to ensure Scotland votes No....weird that!

Another vote for Amsterdam here, just got back from my 4th trip there. It's known for the nightlife (and those who dwell in it) but it's actually a really nice place as well. Beautiful canals, great museums and loads of little bars and restaurants. I find that it's incredibly clean as well, unlike London, Paris etc. The green is just the cherry on top!

I think I might actually love Charlie Brooker, he's such a brilliant writer. Always funny to read his column. Black Mirror was f*cking good as well.

Sorry Dunko, having worked in shops similar to Tesco through most of my teens they were right not to sell you the larger bottles at the same price. Although one is the standard version and the other is standard + x% they are not the same product, and will be on their systems as two different ones. Because Tesco include the standard bottles in the 3 for £5 deal does not automatically include any similar products as well - it's their offer and they can include what they like on it. Although both bottles contain the same produce, they aren't the same product. I imagine normally the 50% extra free bottles will be priced the same as the regular 500ml versions, but they're not obligated to include them both in the offer as they're separate products. It's like complaining that the larger tubes of Pringles aren't included in a snack-sized Pringles offer, although the point about labelling Minty made is valid as they should technically be labelled as 750ml bottles rather than 500ml + extra% to distinguish them from similar products.

It would be nice if the new baby was a girl, that way I can commemorate her birthday each year from 2033 with a celebratory w*nk.

I've seen YYYs live 3 times and I don't even like them that much - they just seemed to be at every festival 6/7 years ago! Cheating Hearts is a great tune though. Here's one to crank up to 11, I forgot just how good Rage were. Wish they'd come and do some more gigs, their set at Reading in 2008 was mindblowing.

I don't know why you feel you need to prove yourself and your opinion valid but if we're going down that route, I have spent the equivalent of years across my life in different parts of Scotland too - mostly in the East (from Edinburgh to Elgin and back again). I've not been witness to much of that kind of stuff, no more than you get anywhere else in the country. Simples.

Never claimed to have "vast" experience, I can only say from what i've seen and heard. If we're going just from experience, is your opinion based on the conversations you heard echoing down the Little Chef kitchen corridor during your shift?

I think you get a lot of anti-English sentiment, but little action based on it. Like I said before, it's fairly balanced with some of the stuff you hear down here and all over England. But hey, I guess everyone hears and sees what they want to sometimes. I'm not denying there is bigotry towards the English, but it's not a one-way street..

Politics aside, the ref in the Scotland vs Germany game is an absolute bellend. Never even looked like getting a 50/50 decision in our favour the whole night..

It's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other as far as i'm concerned. I've never had any issues either in Scotland or elsewhere when drinking with Scottish people (just spent the weekend in Amsterdam, so been drinking with half the Tartan Army that are in Dortmund right now!). Then again, you do see a lot of loudmouth c*nts on both sides that don't know when to shut up. I have a mate studying in Glasgow that could talk himself into a fight with Mother Teresa and he's yet to be decked on account of being English.

None of the "main parties" like Labour, Tories etc. There are dozens of political parties being borne out of the recent Independence campaign, I read a great article the other day on some of the movements going on but I forgot where I read it. It seems that while the traditional parties are staunchly in favour of No, there are reactionary groups springing up who could take their place in the new political spectrum.

This is an interesting time for me, because I'm moving to Edinburgh within the next few months regardless of the outcome of the vote - will be fascinating to see what happens from this point. Personally, I would be delighted if Scotland voted Yes to give the country the chance to grow as its own nation with its own principles and ideals. It seems from recent polling that other people are being swayed that way as well...

Saw that earlier, looks like fans of all clubs are putting them in their place on that! Haha. -

Likewise, and I understand your feelings towards this. However, they were all complicit in taking the photographs. Nobody forced them to do it. I'm not blaming them wholly for what happened, but you have to admit that without taking the pictures this wouldn't have happened in the first place. Obviously those who invaded their privacy and took those pictures are the ones who have committed the offence, but it's a risk you run if you indulge in that kind of behaviour. I would say exactly the same thing were it a male celebrity this had happened to (and it has, several times recently without attention like this). I'm also not going to pretend like I am completely pious and expect people to remain abstinent and not do anything like this, but my stance is if you consent to doing something that could potentially have this kind of knock-on effect you have to take that into consideration beforehand. Maybe i'm biased, but I don't think you can equate my particular viewpoint on this to comments like the ones you mentioned about drunk rape victims etc. I find statements like those absolutely abhorrent, and I think there is definitely a problem in society still with objectification and a "blame culture". There have been several articles i've read recently about comments like those coming from politicians, judges, solicitors and all sorts of highly powerful members of society and it is shocking to see that people genuinely think like that and it's not some kind of dark joke. This situation has arisen from some slightly irresponsible behaviour (for 'irresponsible' read 'human') and not enough respect for personal boundaries and privacy. Unfortunately, that just seems to be the way things are right now - and we can only do what we can to change that.
-
I'm not saying that at all, obviously it's wrong and it's a crime. However there's so little privacy nowadays especially if you're in the public eye that you can't take any risks - especially with technology involved (clouds and all that). With all the NSA/phone hacking scandals recently you would've thought they'd err on the side of caution and not do this kind of thing without being willing to run the risk of a leak. I understand they're humans too but with the way they're hounded on a daily basis by the paps, you would think they'd avoid that kind of behaviour. I probably would if it was me in that situation. Of course I feel sorry for those involved, it really must be a horrible thing to happen, but imo they are still partially to blame for this. No pictures, no leak. Just my two cents. Not trying to justify the actions of those who committed the crime by hacking, but yeah.

James Ward-Prowse has that one now.

I think JWP is better playing in a slightly deeper role in a 3 alongside two more defensive players so he can have the freedom to roam in front of them. Like a deeper #10. Clearly he'll be an excellent player, just needs to develop as a player in his own time - we can't rush him.

If somebody gets hold of your sort code and account number it doesn't change your public perception. Naked photos do. Obviously they're victims, but with more thought they needn't have been.
