  1. It was something approaching £5k a week I believe - apparently he didn't want to drop his wages from Spurs when he signed for us. It doesn't sound like much but for a player who never made a single senior appearance for us he would've earned almost £1.2m across the course of his 5yr contract. Apparently he spunked money left right and centre though, so expect to see him working in the Argos stockroom by Christmas.
  2. Probably a post-Cortese patch up effort tbh. But I don't think she gives a stuff whether some people on a forum called her "Fat Kat" or not when she was making very unpopular decisions (which have now been rectified imo).
  3. Do you honestly think she cares?

Thanks for the advice guys - reckon I will stick with Turkish the resident SaintsWeb fashionista's advice and get some alterations made to something from the high street. Also Gemmel I usually buy my clothes from there, 99% of it is total sh!te but you can pick up some decent gear for a good price.
  5. I recorded that on my phone when I saw that on MOTD. Although I had it down more as "Thankee. Bye bye". Maybe his English teacher is from Zumerzett?

I'm looking to get a decent suit and wondered where you lot get yours from. Don't think I can stretch to getting something tailored but don't want something that looks cheap. M&S do some decent stuff but I generally have a bit of a tough time buying shirts and jackets being quite a tall gentleman with broad shoulders so most stuff either hangs off me or fits like a scuba suit. Any suggestions?
  7. I particularly like when he's talking about people and uses the wrong pronoun - for example.. "Morgan Schneiderlin, it'schh a fantastic player.." "It'schh a player with fantashtic qualitieshh"
  8. Getting a massive Laura Marling vibe off that KRG, nice tune though. Very talented for a 15 year old!
  9. I don't think they are, at least not to the same level that black and ethnic people are within the coaching structure. But I know you're being facetious so i'll let you off
  10. The numbers themselves don't really matter, but they are quite disproportionate even when compared to the population structure of the country, let alone those involved in the game. There's no real reason why there should be more diversity amongst managers and coaches apart from having a fair representation imo.
  11. Not sure why there aren't enough black and ethnic managers. Like Pap said, there could be something in the football hierarchy working against them, or it could be that we've only really seen a larger proportion of black and ethnic players in the Football League within the last 30 years or so, and that things will even themselves out further down the line as players retire and take up coaching. Who knows? Also there are plenty of English managers around who could do a job in the Prem. Big clubs don't want to take the chance on hiring a young British coach when they can hire somebody experienced from abroad who will be more of a sure thing.
  12. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29348903 Football authorities coming under pressure for not seriously looking at implementing a 'Rooney Rule' type system to encourage clubs to hire non-white coaches and managers. Personally I think that there aren't enough black and ethnic managers in the Football League, but I don't think you can force clubs to interview candidates purely based on their ethnicity. The best man for the job is the best man for the job, if there aren't enough coaches and managers from different ethnic backgrounds maybe we should look at putting more money into coaching and giving people of different ethnicities a way into the game?
  13. Well, here's something to look forward to Bearsy! HBO have said that Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn are in Season 2 of True Detective. Apparently it centres around 4 leads - Farrell playing a detective with masters in the criminal underworld and Vaughn is playing a crooked businessman trying to save his skin after his rivals start popping his business partners. The main plot thrust is about organised crime trying to get in on a deal to build a high speed railway through California apparently. Taylor Kitsch and Elisabeth Moss are lined up to play the other 2 leads according to rumours as well. Pizzolato is finishing off the scripts for S2 now, going into production by the end of next month.
  14. Thank f*ck for that! What a brilliant win!
  15. Wanyama's been caught ball-watching quite a few times tonight, looks a bit off the pace. Corky or Reed on please Ronald!

  17. I think ultimately this vote was all about stick or twist, but without the real information on the table about what independence would actually mean for people they chose to play it safe. There will still be a lot of anti-Westminster sentiment within the Scottish populous which will need to be addressed in the run up for the general election in 8 months, but like Pap says we will probably see a swing away from the SNP back towards Labour - meaning that Miliband will have to pull his finger out and earn the votes that people will be willing to cast his way.
  18. About 1400 votes in it at the moment. And on that note, i'm off to bed.
  19. West Dumbartonshire counting officer does not look f*cking pleased
  20. Dundee by a landslide! 172k for Yes, 178k for No as it stands...
  21. The eastern island territories were always going to vote No, that's been set in stone for a while. Will be interesting to see how Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee vote as they're the ones where there seems to have been a lot of groundswell for Yes although it does seem to be leaning quite heavily towards No from the snippets we've heard so far.
  22. No wins in Clackmannanshire, 19k to 16k.
  23. Fire alarm goes off at the count in Dundee...drama!
