What's your obsession with the Greens, Brett? That interview was atrocious but the policies hadn't been properly costed, so how could she answer the questions without being held accountable for any changes later on? And anyway, BTF's point was that Cameron avoids questions more than any other PM she's seen - your point that all PMs have done it doesn't lessen her argument at all..

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/david-cameron/11454925/David-Cameron-People-should-have-the-freedom-to-hunt.html Good to see Dave staying relevant...what's the point in even mentioning this as the proposed vote in the Commons will never pass and public support is firmly behind the ban..

In your mind, does the SNP only exist to complain about things?

And that is all very true. The interesting thing that's happening with the area around Fleet is that the housing developments and retail parks being built are filling in the space between what used to be villages and small towns to create one big sprawl that stretches along the M3 from Basingstoke to Farnborough. Similar in a way to places like Twickenham, Kingston, Staines and Sunbury all merging together just outside South London, but a much more middle-class commuter version. That's the way it'll go if development doesn't stretch out further than wherever's within a reasonable commute of London. As for the second part i've quoted above, the answer is a realistic politician. The way that the global population is expanding at the moment with over 2 births to every death, we're going to see rapid changes in the way we do things over the next 50 years or so, and we have to be able to plan ahead and have the structure in place to deal with a population burst. While most of the global growth is happening in Africa and Asia, the UK population has grown by over 5m since 2000 which is a pretty drastic change and we need to be prepared for that to happen again within the next decade or so. Either way, i'm starting to store up canned food for the inevitable breakdown of society...

I can see why Toby would want to go to Spurs, especially when they have quality cup songs like this one: [video=youtube;5jMX5-Yu-iM]

Everyone has to have a hobby. Sorry, I misread your initial post. Will choose to ignore the second part of your reply because it's clearly baiting and I suggested no such thing. To address the first part of your post, I don't think it's sustainable to increase at that rate, no. The South-East is pretty crowded already, but our focus shouldn't be on preventing people from coming here as that's an inevitability. Making sure that people are more evenly distributed around the country would be my focus - and that would mean putting money into areas that can expand to handle more people whether they're migrants, immigrants or British-born citizens. There are vast areas of the country that provide scope for development that hasn't been tapped into yet, recent development seems to be very London-centric and based in one particular area. Focusing on creating jobs and building infrastructure in places like Humberside, the Midlands and North Wales where there is high unemployment and aren't particularly attractive areas for those looking in should be what we're doing rather than cramming everyone into a particular part of the country so that everyone can be a f*cking London commuter. My hometown in North Hampshire (Fleet way) has been drastically changed in the last 10-15 years by several major housing developments, which is alright as that particular part of the county can handle expansion and is in a good location but not all areas being developed can handle it like that. If we created jobs and built up infrastructure in some of the places I mentioned above, we'd see a more even distribution of people around the UK and relax some of the strain on particular areas like the South East.

http://anotherangryvoice.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/economic-case-against-tax-dodging.html?m=1 I think you'll find it would be more than enough chum.. This whole argument is really indicative of the blaming of immigrants for problems in society that aren't really their fault - if our government did their jobs properly we wouldn't have a funding problem for expansion to our infrastructure.
-
The money is there to pay for infrastructure, it's sitting in the accounts of Vodafone, Amazon and all the companies that avoid paying taxes to the tune of billions of pounds a year. Or even looking at scrapping the ever-useful Trident programme? (Cue Brett from Camden). Rather than placing the blame on immigrants should we not be focusing on easy measures to support population growth which is an inevitability anyway? Not suggesting we should have an open door and we should have to pay to support it indefinitely, but to suggest that we can't afford to protect the infrastructure at our current population level is absurd.

Crouching Tiger is regarded out east as being as badly acted as the Keith Lemon movie, but because us western bros don't speak Asian we think it's a masterpiece of modern cinema. You can tell this film is well acted though because there's a scene where both of the main dudes are w4nking by a swimming pool and they don't even giggle once. Oscar worthy.

I watched Y Tu Mama Tambien last night - been on my to-watch list for a while but I never got round to it. Not sure why it took me so long! It really is a stunning film, lovingly shot and brilliantly acted by everyone. Reminded me in a way of City of God where the location is a pivotal character and adds so much to the story and the overall aesthetic of the film I only knew of Alfonso Cuaron from Children of Men, but after watching this film I plan on mowing through the rest of his work over the weekend - Solo Con Tu Pareja is up tonight.

Wanyama veeeery slowly skating across the ice at the end of that Snapchat story made my day!

Chelsea 1-0 up on Wet Sham, poor marking in the middle and Hazard nipped in to score a header. Watching this one as a bit of a scouting mission - Hammers caused them some troubles going forward at times..

Saints 1 Palace 0 - Post Match Nerve Reconstruction
SuperMikey replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
That's one of the things that annoys me about Palace fans - they make a good noise away from home (Selhurst is usually a graveyard unless one of the big boys is in town) but their songs are mostly just noises rather than actually being about/for the club. Their "ultras" are f*cking laughable as well, they're basically 50 or so spotty lads in black jackets that like to do synchronised dance moves during the game - it's like Glee meets Football Factory. The ultras in Italy have their reputation because of their numbers, it doesn't quite have the same effect when you've got a smatterig of geezers from Bromley giving it the big 'un at you. -

Don't agree with that tbh, he won a lot in central positions today but he had nobody near him to collect his flick-ons - a role that Shane Long is perfect for. Start Long in Elia's place against Chelski and make sure the forwards get tight to him. Pelle won't improve from the bench -

YES! FINALLY! Not a great performance but Palace sat very deep and we did well to create as many chances as we did (even if we only got 3 of them on target). Pelle and Yoshida should've put their chances away, but one step at a time eh I actually think Pelle was a bit unlucky to be subbed - would've stuck Long up with him and taken off Djuricic but what Ron did worked so I have to be happy with that! -
Not played badly so far, but Elia's not been in the game. Get Long on at HT to pull their defence around and create some space.

Seconded, I get so frustrated with sh!t quality streams - this makes things so much easier!

I think the amount of injuries has definitely decreased since the game was released - they were ridiculous in the Beta and the early version.

Liebherr, Krueger and Koeman taking Saints to Switzerland
SuperMikey replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I was thinking the club should take the players away somewhere for a bit - a change of scenery, some rest and a morale boost are well in order at the moment. Lets see what effect it has.. -
After all my excitement when this game was released, I never got round to playing it - mostly due to not having a Wii! That purchase has since been made, and i'm about 2/3 of the way through the game. My god, it's f*cking brilliant. Probably my favourite of the series as the older versions have dated, and the gameplay in this making use of the motion controls is outstanding. Really fun to play, and it's not just a button-basher anymore. Hopefully this bump will inspire a few of you to re-play this one. Not been as engrossed in the storyline of a Zelda game since OOT all those years ago...
-
I'd play that, with Davis over JWP and Long over Tadic. Have Mane and Long playing close to Pelle to give him some support - hopefully he can bag a goal.
-
Plus his attitude is atrocious - he's had several fallings out with his WBA teammates and apparently he's not on speaking terms with a lot of them... will probably end up at Liverpool or Man Utd in the summer. I think if Clyne goes (which is looking more likely now) we should go in for Trippier as he's a similar type of player, English and still young as well. Burnley would probably only ask for £10-12m for him, which would probably be around half of what we'd get for Clyne. Obviously the last few weeks have shown our lack of options up front, and reading the papers today it looks like Jovetic is leaving Man City this summer - he'd definitely be worth a cheeky bid. Liverpool apparently interested but he barely plays at City and not sure he'd want to go to Liverpool to be behind Sturridge, Sterling etc when he can be #1 with us (and probably in EL as well). Wages may be an issue but if we end up getting rid of Osvaldo permanently and possibly Ramirez this summer then we can afford them easily. Schneiderlin is a tricky one, because he's a pretty unique player so I don't think we'll find anyone who can replace him like-for-like. Clasie is probably our best bet, but I think he may lack some of the physicality for the Prem being a short fella - especially in a deep role when our other options in that role are JWP and Davis who are both pretty lightweight. Everyone's favourite Football Manager wonderkid Youri Tielemans is making waves at Anderlecht in a creative midfield role, and although he's only 17 he's become a first-team regular there. Not sure we'd keep him for more than a couple of years given his potential and reputation, but he could develop very well here and give our side something different.
