Which are...?

You may get away with it just as long as you don't call her "Fat Kat". I got an infraction for a sarcastic and needless comment by saying that Cuba Gooding Jr was my favourite Cricket commentator. Still never got over it :(

Or if they make a sarcastic and needless comment about the quality of their HT pie.

This thread is a bit like that part Apocalypse Now after Morpheus gets shot on the boat and everyone's bickering with each other.

My thoughts are that they will try to win contracts and get more industry into Scotland in order to strengthen the infrastructure, with a view towards building for independence. There won't be another referendum for some years, but if the SNP can use the larger stage to tempt energy companies to invest in the area for example, that will be to their advantage - short-term for the UK, long-term for Scotland. Of course, that's complete supposition on my part.

I'm not sure Sturgeon would be that involved in Westminster would she? I thought she would act as the First Minister of the Scottish Parliament and Salmond would take up a more London-centric role (i.e. Deputy PM)? Or maybe I got that wrong. Either way, it'll be years and probably decades before another referendum so you don't really need to worry about that. Speaking of Jim Murphy as well, I have no idea why he was chosen by Labour. I saw a poll that was released after he took the leadership role that said he was the most disliked politician in Scotland - he even beat Cameron which is a f*cking tough job! Bet Honey-Roast Hameron was delighted that he finally didn't come last in a Scottish popularity contest though!

https://www.greenparty.org.uk/news/2015/04/07/greens-pledge-to-cut-vat-on-housing-repairs/ Sorry to break up the conversation but I thought I would put this policy up here - a fantastic idea that will ensure our homes are more efficient AND that creates jobs and stimulates the economy.

He's a good player but his disciplinary record is absolutely appalling and he's one of the dirtiest and most petulant footballers i've seen in many years.

Have the BBC got this wrong about Europa League qualification?

Redslo answered the question in Post #8, and people are still confused about it 100 posts later... -
Have the BBC got this wrong about Europa League qualification?
SuperMikey replied to niceandfriendly's topic in The Saints
No, the rule change stipulates that only the winners of the FA Cup get a European place. If either Arsenal or Liverpool win it having already qualified for Europe, the place goes to 7th in the league (us or Spurs). -

Lallana will bust his knee doing that and Lovren will trip over the Cup and cause a tsunami somewhere. Srsly though, I don't care about Liverpool winning the cup. Arsenal would probably beat them in a final anyway, especially given the domination at the weekend. Wouldn't it warm your cockles to see Stevie G standing dejected in the centre circle at Wembley at FT, checking to see when the next flight to LA is as Brenda cries in the dressing room? -
Up Bournemouth - They've been exceptional this season, and it would be nice to have a local fixture in the Prem. Sure they'd be chuffed they get to play their biggest rivals too.. Norwich - I like Alex Neil and Norwich have a decent team with some good youngsters in it. Derby - Similar to Norwich in that I like their manager and their team is packed full of good young players. Both them and Naaarch are traditional Prem teams as well. Down Sunderland - Purely for their record of hiring absolute c*nts for their managers and the fact that their squad is dogsh!t. Oh, and they have an (alleged) paedo on the books. QPR - As above regarding managers. They need to rebuild their team which they can't do in the Prem, get rid of the mercenaries and get in some good young players. Leicester - Don't particularly want them to go down, but it looks like a foregone conclusion. Relegation may ease the pressure on Jack Torrance impersonator Nigel Pearson as well.

Patrick Bamford is an interesting shout from adrian, he's been excellent whenever i've seen him. Whether Chelsea would let him go remains to be seen but I wouldn't mind taking him here at all.

So, MOTD say we played well and the fans say we were ****e...
SuperMikey replied to swannymere's topic in The Saints
I think we played quite well, but Everton did a better job of defending than we did attacking. Gave us no room to attempt anything on goal, bodies behind the ball and frustrated us. -
+1 Europa League would be massive for this club - even if it's not as illustrious as CL it's continental football. Remember when we all thought Cortese was mental for saying we'd have European football in 5 years? This is year 6. We've missed some opportunities this season (today being one of them) but we're still set for our best ever season in the Prem with the promise of European football next season to look forward to! #glasshalffull

Fenerbahce team bus attacked by gunmen, driver shot
SuperMikey replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
I flicked the V's at Carlton Cole on the West Ham team bus when it was in Portswood high street in the most recent Championship season. This is much worse than that. Turkey seems like a bit of a nutty country, their fans have the propensity to be apesh!t crazy. -
JWP made some good runs into attacking positions today, but then he was inexplicably brought off when Elia did the square root of f*ck all for the time he was on the pitch.
-
Everton defended well and sat really deep to stop us getting anything as soon as they went ahead. Made it very difficult for us to get anything from the game. Back to the drawing board, Top 4 is gone but lets focus on maybe snatching 5th.
-
Tadic on for Elia, Mane on for JWP... interesting sub, thought Prowsey was playing well.
-
Hopefully Tadic and Mane can provide a bit of movement ahead of the ball - get Elia and Pelle off and move Long into the middle.
-
Agreed. He gets too much stick. Looks like he's very much playing as a No 10 today, should give him good licence to get on the ball and get things moving.
-
Ugh, what a horrible goal that was to concede. Got to put them on the back foot now and get a goal.
-
Oh so unlucky Pelle, he did so well to get to that ahead of Howard. Great start from us, looking really fired up.
-
Half of those "reality" points don't actually argue against or disprove what she actually said... smells like somebody wanted a hatchet job but they couldn't actually find anything to bring her up on!

Yeah, because destroying the UK as a whole is the perfect way to get elected to run your own country. Surely being part of a successful coalition will endear Scottish voters more towards the SNP and independence as a feasible alternative to the union?
