  1. Seen Gallagher play wide a couple of times for the U21's now and to be fair, the position suits him quite well. He can pick up the ball in nice areas with plenty of room to maneuvre, bring the ball in and have Seager ahead of him to make a run in behind. Not sure it'd translate to the first team but he seems to be playing more intelligently in that position, having to think more about where he's going, where the ball's going and where the players around him are going. Back to the game, seems from Twitter that we've had a lot of chances in the second half but Blackburn are holding out. Hopefully can put one of them away and crush them at SMS.
  2. Or the fact that Stoke is like a time-capsule to the 1970's.
  3. Nothing like intimidating the electorate, eh? No need for him to be right up in that guy's face, he's a middle-aged man in a windbreaker playing the ukukele ffs...
  4. --------------K.DAVIS---------------- -------TOBY---FONTE---MAYA-------- CLYNE-------------------------B'RAND ---------MORGAN---PROWSEY-------- ---------------TADIC----------------- -----------PELLE----MANE------------ Subs: Gazza, Gardos, Targett, Reed, S.Davis, Elia, Long That's how I would start personally. Stoke like to play wide and stuff the midfield, so we need to have bodies in that area to get proper control of the game. Tadic did very well when he came on against Hull, got in good areas and caused their defence problems. Need to have a proper creative influence behind the strikers otherwise they're going to have to drop deep to pick the ball up when really we want to try and get Mane in behind their slow defence.
  5. JWP's pen yesterday was the best we've taken since Lambert had his last one. He strikes the ball very well so he should be able to get good placement on the ball as well as power.
  6. Watched all 4 of them, great start to the series! When are the next 4 being leaked?
  7. To be fair to Toby, we haven't seen Clyne bomb forward down that right as much as we did last season - i'm not sure Ron is keen on getting the full-backs as high up the pitch as Poch did.
  8. Yup, I think Ron likes our wide players to be able to come inside with the ball on their stronger foot - especially as he put Long on the left and Tadic on the right when those are both their weaker sides. We're not the type of team that gets to the byline and whips the ball in, most of our supply from out wide comes from deep when players cut in off the flank to deliver the ball.
  9. Davis misses a sitter, but like I give a f*ck. 3 best things that could've happened today were Saints winning and JWP & Pelle scoring.
  10. So happy for Pelle, he has been unlucky with a couple of really good saves in the last few weeks so he was long overdue a goal. Hopefully he can go on a bit of a run now!
  11. Nice round of "Kelvin Davis, Steven Davis" going on there. Bet Turkish will be delighted with that!
  12. Mane off, Tadic on. Mane's not really been at the races today.
  13. I really f*cking wish the commentators would stop going on about our record of not conceding from set-pieces EVERY TIME THE OPPO GETS A CORNER. Jesus christ..
  14. Great pen from Prowsey there! Pleased for the lad, he's been long due a goal. Got to build on this and get another now!
  15. Dawson's always been good in the air though, and he's been all over Pelle. I agree he's not very mobile but nobody's giving him the ball to feet and when they do he has no support from Mane or Long. He's had to drop very deep into almost a centre forward role rather than leading the line just to get the ball to feet.
  16. Not really sure Long and Pelle have done anything too wrong, Pelle's not had any service to feet so has to try and win everything in the air against Dawson and Long has been ok so far.
  17. Davis puts it out of play again - he must be carrying a knock or something because he's usually much more careful and accurate with his passing. Agree on Ward-Prowse at HT - more attacking player as well.
  18. Davis' passing has been absolutely shocking, not sure if he's connected 3 passes in a row yet..
  19. Also Schneiderlin is having a stormer so far, he's been everywhere. Just need a goal to settle us down I think.
  20. Hull are getting a lot of bodies in the midfield and stopping us from passing the ball through the middle. I may be tempted to go 3-5-2 at HT, bring Clyne on for Long and put Mane up top with Pelle.
  21. Was just going to post that, downloaded that and watching Swansea v Everton now.
  22. Worth keeping an eye on this thread before the game kicks off, there was a fix released on there last week which got the add-on working again for a time so keep 'em peeled. http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=207159&page=52
  23. Agreed. I don't think much of him politically as he sits farther right of the current Tory leadership but he's certainly charismatic and is prone to a gaffe as well which would liven things up a bit! He has a bit of the Farage-factor as well by being "a bit of a character" so if he was to contribute to UKIP's downfall it'd be alright by me..
  24. I know that BoJo will be watching all of this unfolding and rubbing his hands together with glee - if the Tories don't get in we'll see him as leader before the end of the year. He might actually be a good Opposition Leader, and he'd certainly be the man to tempt back any of the electorate who swing from Conservative to UKIP at this election. On Miliband, I don't hate him at all. I think the general perception is that he's a nice bloke but not cut out to be PM which I would probably agree with. The Tory campaign has been heavily centered around smearing Ed but I think he's actually come out of it quite well, which I imagine is winding up the Tory front-bench something rotten!
  25. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2015-32260220 Tories resorting to unfunded spending pledges to try and cajole voters into voting for them. I would say they are at serious risk of losing a large share of their vote to UKIP, it's been an utterly p!ss poor campaign by the Conservatives so far - they should be storming ahead in the polls but they're failing to even gain a lead at the moment. Latest YouGov poll (9-10 April) LAB - 35% (+1) CON - 33% (-2) UKIP - 13% (+1) LDEM - 8% (-0) GRN - 5% (+1)
