  1. I see that well over 18,000 of the bestest fans in the world (18,465 to be exact)managed to get themselves down to Nottarf krap for tonight's match. If they end up playing Fulham in the semi, what's the betting that Wembley will only be 75% full ??? LOL
  2. bbc have said papa has scored a penalty ????
  3. I suggest you develop a different set of contacts!!
  4. Ho , ho , ho !!
  5. Buy a box of cigars and a case of brandy. This show is going to run and run. Sit back and enjoy it!!
  6. We did it last night - as did Wycombe.
  7. As ever Rallyboy you have hit the nail on the head, Baloo likes to think that he is the owner and that he rules. That he can decide on administration. But is he??? He claims to be the owner but it has been pointed out several times on this thread that once a winding up order is in place , it is impossible to make changes in a company's ownership. The WUO pre dates his assumption of power so I can only presume that a court will not see him as the owner - despite what he and the media may say. Baloo may be a secured creditor ... but as another article on this thread points out, Barclays are also a secured creditor - and their claim out ranks his as their charge is older. He may want to put the company into administration but is it up to him to decide ?? As you say Rallyboy, I would like to hear what somebody else has to say. The Revenue's silence is ominous... perhaps they are too busy digging the graves.
  8. Just got home - it helps living just 12 miles away. The conditions and the pitch were awful. The ball never ran true and often never made the touchline as it was held up. Only AP knows why he started with so many attacking players in those conditions - Lambo, Lallana, Barnard, Punchy and Antonio. If ever a match was tailor made for Wootton it was this one. Fortunately AP realised this fairly early and made the substitution. I thought Wootton did well. Kelvin was surprisingly shaky in the first half. He was their most potent threat at times!! He made up for it with a great second half save. We never had a corner all match .... but we created some clear cut chances. How Ricky missed his sitter I do not know. It looked harder to miss. Adam also missed a great chance. MoM for me was Fonte. He s one classy defender.
  9. I think this holds the key to a lot of what is really going on at the moment. Forget the 2 , sorry 3 , buyers all about to complete in 48 hours. Why did Baloo take over the ground ???? I guess that there are several angles on this ... but in my opinion it must be because the writing is on the wall ad he wants to get something out of the club before it goes completely t i t s up next monday. If a deal was likely he would not do that . I am sitting back and enjoying watching the car crash.
  10. Somewhere on this thread it is reported that Vantis's team were 6 strong. So perhaps multiply these costs by 3.
  11. Cheers I am hopefully going to study Chemistry or Marine Chemistry if I go to Bangor. Good luck with your other universities I expect you will hear back from them soon seeing that the deadline was now almost a month ago.
  12. I have heard back from all my universities now and have got offers from Bangor, Reading, Sussex and Leicester but got rejected from Cardiff. I now just need to choose my first choice which will probably be Bangor or Reading.
  13. Let's see who can spot the "gingers" in this thread
  14. Interesting use of the word "could." It could be right. It could be wrong. Unusual for a headline to be quite so unsure. Dream on Pompey. Remember it is the hope that kills you.
  15. Holmes will not be leaving. Did you read the complimentary comments that AP made about him in the programme on saturday??
  16. How about Ravi Bopara?
  17. Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More Its a brilliant album that comes from a band that have the making to be something huge
  18. It’s interesting you should say this because Stalin asked the USA to open the western front in 1942 to relieve pressure on the Soviet Union seeing that was where most of the Nazis aggression in Europe was at the time. Yet it took 2 years for the USA to do this. Yes I may be looking at it from a communist point of view but does it really take that long to launch a beach invasion? Or was the USA deliberately allowing the Nazis to weaken the Soviet Union before opening up the Weston front. Seeing that there was already tension between the two nations and it looked likely that if the Nazis were defeated there would be a major power struggle in Europe the USA would surely take any advantage they could get. But what interests me though is what if diplomacy over the Cuban missile crisis hadn’t worked and the planned ground invasion had happened? Would it have been the start of a nuclear war? or would the Soviet Union of backed down?
  19. TBF i was expecting that.
  20. As a year 13 student i understand the work that teachers do. So all those people who are criticizing them how about you go try doing the job they do. Yes they get long holidays but frankly i think most of them deserve it and even then most teachers spend that time working. Yes you get the odd teacher who will act like the ones most people are criticizing but for every bad teacher you get at least 5 good ones who will give up there free time to help there students. Also as someone who is thinking about going in to teaching do any of you teachers out there have any advice you can give me
  21. Thats rubbish. Do what I do at matches and count the number of eyes of everyone in the ground and then divide by the number of noses. I only got to 34,893 at the match last season v Man U.
  22. I think our current position in the League is more to do with Lowe's crass timing of administration rather than MLT's involvement with Pinnacle. We wouldn't have the minus 10 points if Lowe had gone into administration a week earlier. Is that why he is known as Stewpert??
  23. I have just got back from 3 weeks in Bolivia which is a truely amazing country it gives you a true taste of south america. The landscape is also breath taking with lake titicaca, mountain ranges, the jungle and salt flats and surrounding desert. An amazing country which is also extremely cheap.
  24. Isn't this now the time for all true supporters to get behind the club?? To start now to make snide references to another one of your hate figures, Mary Corbett, is just pathetic. You are a sad individual who should just grow up.
