  1. I guarantee you the club would rather sell as many tickets at as high a price as possible, whoever buys them. That's half the problem.
  2. Are you typing this from the stands? If not I don't see how you can criticise anyone who is at the game.
  3. You could say the same about Liverpool and our recruitment people. It's about levels- when Celtic signed him he could develop then play for the first team. Then he's good enough for us to get and develop then play for the first team. If we brought him in when Celtic did he'd probably be playing for our reserves or out on loan and not getting the game time he's needed to develop.
  4. Our new shirt has been leaked. It happens to lots of clubs. It doesn't mean the club are clueless etc etc etc. Chill!
  5. I wonder if they've ditched the 'we march on' slogan- my season ticket reminder thing that came through the post had 'Believe. Believe in Saints' written all over it. Equally crap but different.
  6. It isn't flawed because I was using the rule example as a metaphor and not a literal comparison. Each game in a competition should be conducted under the same conditions. I also disagree that goal line technology is used in the FA Cup as not all games can have it and it should be the same for VAR. Like I said, we could go out because VAR wasn't there to check, whilst Spurs could go through on a decision that was made with VAR. Hence, all 4 games are not being played using the same criteria.
  7. It makes perfect logical sense- you wouldn't make a new rule in the Prem and only apply it to some games, would you? This is essentially what they're doing in the FA Cup with VAR. One team could go out because there was no VAR to check, whilst another team is in the final because a pen was given after consulting VAR.
  8. This, 1000%
  9. ----------------Forster---------------- Cedric--Stephens--VVD--Yosh--Bertrand -----------Lemina--Hojbjerg--------- --------Redmond--Tadic------------- ---------------Gabi--------------------- What I think it'll be. Romeu has looked off the pace recently and Hojbjerg didn't play on Wed.
  10. I think I have a spare Sparta one if that's any good?
  11. It's clearly aimed at kids. It's funny seeing the number of grown adults mocking the marketing on Twitter!
  12. I'll miss the first game of the season for the second year in a row. :@
  13. A Saints fan rang up Talksport after the game to say how he enjoyed the game but is frustrated that Gabbiadini will probably leave. He's played 3 games.
  14. Way to put a downer in an otherwise exciting day in our history guys. :-/
  15. Anyone who thinks that their support for the club is measured by the club in anything other than financial terms is completely naive!
  16. Not sure how reducing the price of a shirt could be perceived as 'cashing in'. Nobody's forcing us to buy a shirt!
  17. Fantastic result! I'd like to go to the final but apparently I'm not allowed because I didn't go to the game last night. Ah well, maybe next season.
  18. J-Rod has been great recently, winning headers, flicking the ball on and holding it up. He's adjusting to his limitations since the injury and he was very effective yesterday. As for Long, I think he was frustrated by the tactics when he came on- he'd clearly been told to sit deep to protect the lead which isn't his game at all. When we cleared the ball he just stood still on the halfway line. I'm sure he'd much rather be chasing the ball down and using his speed but had been instructed not to.
  19. Couldn't agree more- they didn't even use a capital letter for his surname in the headline!
  20. The vitriol here is laughable- of course he isn't a terrible keeper, he just had a bad game. Get a grip people!
  21. Got two tickets available if anyone's interested. On twitter @deadpanmatt
  22. A mate if mine has two tickets for the game but can't go so he's ill. Send me a message if you're interested.
