Can't blame him for leaving really. It got to the point where he needed to leave to further his career. He's a local lad and I know for a fact that it's been a tough decision for Drew to move on, but he had little choice in the end. The club needed the money, and if he wanted to take the next step in his career and push on, he had to be playing in the CCC at the very least. I hope he proves a lot of his doubters on here wrong, because IMO, he's a good, young talent and with the right coaching he could do well for himself. Some of the criticism AS is getting is so unjust it's unbelievable! Why some people are saying good riddance I'll never know. I'll tell you one thing, it will be a long time before we have a former England U21 international playing in our team again. Drew is a naturally gifted footballer and I think Saints are much worse off without him. I wish Drew all the best and every success at Wolves. Maybe one day he'll join us again and finish his career with us. Lets hope Saints are still around for that outcome to be a realistic possibility!
  2. The only thing Le Tiss is guilty of is trying to save our club. He was always my hero growing up and he will remain a hero of mine forever. I can't help but think that Le Tiss was used to get the fans on side, and maybe he was a bit naive but I don't blame him at all. IF, and it's a big if, we do get taken over, I hope that the new owners can find a place for MLT in their set-up.
  3. I really, really, really, hope that someone comes in at the last minute to save us. It would seem that whoever takes us over, if anyone, will have to accept the fact that further points deductions may be on the horizon. To be honest, I could handle starting on -25 this season if it meant we still had a club. I can't bare the thought of not being at St. Mary's at 3pm on a Saturday. I have everything crossed that someone will come in to keep this once great club alive.
  4. Pinnacle have pulled out. What next?
  5. Pinnacle have withdrawn. Official. On SSN. Oh ****. What now?
  6. I'd be more than happy with Hoddle as Manager, although it's hard to be bothered about who is in charge at the minute when the club's future is still uncertain.
  7. Can't blame him for leaving. He's stated his desire to stay but with all the uncertainty surrounding the club it's understandable that he now has to leave. I don't hold it against him, and I wish him all the very best at West Ham.

  9. Killer really is a Saints legend. Arguably formed one of our greatest ever defensive partnerships alongside Lundekvam. He's a role model and I'd love to see him keep his coaching role under the new regime, assuming there is one of course!
  10. Often criticised on here but I have no doubt he would have scored plenty in League One. I think he'll prove a lot of doubters wrong on here, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had a good season for Forest. It's not the end of the world, and £1m+ is a decent fee, but ideally I would have kept him. Sadly, in our current position, that was impossible.
  11. Never understand why people are so quick to slate Schneiderlin. He'll turn out to be a good, Premiership midfielder in the future. Fulham would be getting a good deal for £1.5m, and he'll be worth much more than that in a few years time if he leaves and starts playing regularly. I find it quite funny how so many on here criticise Morgan, and yet a number of Premiership sides are rumoured to be interested in him. Clearly they are seeing something in MS that a large percentage of fans on here can't. Oh, and may I just say how nice it is to have a football related thread.
  12. Tony, are you able to reassure fans about who the money men are? Initially, you said that it was one individual worth several hundred million. Do Pinnacle genuinely have this sort of financial power behind them? I'm not trying to give you stick, it's a genuine question and if you're able to answer, it would put a lot of fan's concerns to rest.
  13. Fair play for the apology GM, but you may be jumping the gun a bit with regards to all being well should Pinnacle's takeover go through. We've been here before and now it's time for Pinnacle to deliver. I really hope that Pinnacle do have the funds and that they can complete the deal. I still remain sceptical, but time will tell. Here's hoping that all goes well and we haven't been lied to all along.
  14. A lot of humble pie is on the menu for Monday/Tuesday should this go through. I've expressed my concern over this Pinnacle bid after this week's events but I'd love to be proved wrong and for this to go through. Here's hoping.
  15. Seeing Pahars cut in from the left onto his right foot and curling one past the onlooking P*mpey keeper, into the back of the net. We went on to beat Pompey 3-0 at St Mary's, putting us 4th in the table at Christmas. 40 seconds in. Good god it's depressing thinking about how far we've fallen.
  16. Any extra revenue generated by Saints featuring on Sky is more than welcome, although it does probably mean that we will lose the game! Having said that, it could be pretty one-sided anyway. There's no guarantee that we'll be in existence, yet alone be in a position to field a side.
  17. Well if that's the case, then there is a very good chance that by this time next week, we won't have a club to moan about at all. If the above is true, then it's largely down to the Football League playing hardball and trying to effectively blackmail potential investors into agreeing to something that is illegal. And there's me thinking that the Football League are meant to look after their clubs . . .
  18. By which time the likes of Wotte, Davis, Euell, BWP etc will all be out of contract. Assuming someone does eventually buy us, it will be interesting to see what team we put out against Millwall!
  19. Be interesting to see if we hear from Lynam again on here . . .
  20. Does this mean that Pinnacle's bid is dead?
  21. Ha! I just cracked it. Michael Fialka.
  22. My opinion of him won't change one bit. The guy is a Saints legend and he deserves our respect. If the worst did happen, I wouldn't hold it against him at all.
  23. A bit more about Killer on the OS now . . . Michael Svensson gallery: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10280~1700772,00.html Killer's titanic struggle: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1702074,00.html
  24. Is that not Jeffrey Imudia? Although saying that, I thought he'd been released.
  25. If it's going to be a musical, surely Andrew Lloyd-Webber would be Director!?
