Saints beat Sparta 3-0: Post-Match Ecstasy
Saint_Ash replied to Hamilton Saint's topic in The Saints
We were really good. Made Sparta look poor. Van Dyke is a beast, great captaining sorting out the penalty, especially as I had 3 nil with Austin first scorer. Mentions to Martina, Romeu and Austin who looked shattered at the end. Also Hoj is class. Another poor touch by fans singing only one Koeman, move on and get behind our team. Embarrassing d1ckheads. Also good ref, nice to see one. -
Come in very handy for those of us that can't get to the away games. Cheers.
-
I'm as optimistic as they come but if we still have no wins come Sunday eve I will be p1ssing and moaning with the best of them!
-
We've kicked on for 7-8 years in a row. Are you not happy because w're not kicking on to compete in the champions league? That's the next level up.
-
1 Year ago (well, a few months)we finished 6th and got into the Europa League group stages. Best time to be a saints fan wouldn't you agree?
-
If Saints fans can't get excited about the first group game, at home, in the Europa then there's something wrong with them. I'm well looking forward to this. This is the night when everything clicks, we get a good 3-0 hammering of Sparta under our belts and we kick on, beat Swansea and move up the table. Turning point of the season...

Bought the bundle for all the games before noticing they are 8.05 kick offs, taking the young un with me and the wife is non too happy about it being on a School night. I said I'll come home at half time (I'm not coming home at half time).

Junior Hoilett used to be well sought after a few years ago still only 26. Did Qpr ruin him?
-
I'm sure he's been doing some light training already so I expect it'll be when he's fit to be named on the bench at the very least.
-
Good, nothing against Targett but Bertrand is one of the best left backs in the league so great to have best players playing. Sounds like JRod is in for a start.
-
Forster fit. I'm assuming Bertrand is as well.
-
Booo. Want him now.
-
Or hopefully a big win will mean it's clicked. Hoping for you team to lose is a bit mental.
-
We have improved on the pitch though over the last few years. The money we get from Sky at the end of the season pays for all the salaries. Ok then.
-
That would be funny but he's gone to Everton for the money and he won't leave yet and forfeit it all.
-
New improved contracts for the players that have had improved deals lately. Have you checked out the latest accounts? Is it not good to have reserves?
-
Comedy gold, the posts between 10pm and 11pm are brilliant.
-
This is a good thing, if Austin or Jrod can't bang the goals in then we can go and get someone. Le Goddard (or LeG as he now likes to be known as) has intimated we'd go for Berahino.
-
Haha! I just got it off twitter as well. Not a bad back up we have then.
-
Got my bundle today for me and the boy. Looking forward to it, best get it written on the calendar before the wife puts something else in there.
-
Pelle was getting on a bit and wasn't a 20 goal a season striker, Vic we got 3 years out of him and will be a missed as a brick wall, hopefully Romeu can fill the void. I would say Mane was the only top top player we sold and we seem to have replaced him well with a younger version, breaking our transfer record. Everton sold their top young defender and brought in a 31 year old for 10m. Leicester have Champs league so will always be able to employ well but if they don't finish in Europe next year then watch 3-4 of their better players leave.

1. Man U 2. Man City 3. Chelsea 4. Arsenal 5. Liverpool 6. Spurs 8. Saints 18. Hull 19. Sunderland 20. Burnley

I think people compained about some of the incomings didn't they? Shane Long too expensive, Pelle and Tadic from a rubbish league, Bertrand was rubbish for Villa and can't get into the Chelsea team and what was Mane? Ali Dia or something. Unfortunately some people will complain every season no matter what.

Would relegated player Moussa Sissoko expect guaranteed football at 3rd placed Spurs? Redmond also played in 35 games in the prem last season predominantly as a starter, not really a sub is he?
