  1. So everyone picks and chooses what k Billy says then? I believe what he says about us being interested on long and I also believe him when he says sky don't know the price. It might be 4m up front with silly add ons. Long would be a decent signing, our starting line up on Saturday was too weak, long in for isgrove is a massive upgrade, even long coming on for mayuka is a massive upgrade.
  2. I don't talk about those otherwise I'd be there all day.
  3. I asked my Wife who knows nothing about football and was born in Southampton what she thought of Gardos and I got a blank stare. Speaks volumes.
  4. Isn't this matey a left back? http://www.goal.com/en-sg/news/3875/transfer-zone/2014/08/11/5027500/lulic-on-southampton-radar
  5. Tadic and clyne are looking good together, I'd keep that but like we did on Saturday I would alternate with Ramirez every now and then. Taider in for Morgan as he's never going to play for us again and Ramirez on the left and that looks decent. Obviously new CB has to play because Yoshida isn't top quality.
  6. Not rightly so, in your own post you state if the club received suitable compensation, we obviously haven't received that yet so hence Morgan is going no where, shall we just let him go for pittence because he started whinging and being a d1ck? No, we wait until we receive what the club believes to be his worth like all of the players that have left.
  7. That's not itk, it's been plastered all over the web. Why should we believe you? Have you ever been right about anything?
  8. Gone back in with €17M? http://www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/Sporting/interior.aspx?content_id=4067754&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+OJ-Ultimas+(OJ+-+Ultimas) Google translate fo what it's worth... After seeing rejected an initial proposal in the amount of 12 million euro, the British press to try to convince the SAD to release defender Marcos Rojo remains a matter of greed in major European leagues, and SAD Sporting yesterday received an offer of € 17 million to release the Argentina defender. The offer originates from the Southampton club desperately trying to ensure tender man who persuaded the reluctant Argentine supporters of its quality during the World Cup in Brazil. GAME what was found, the British emblem was not intimidated by the rejection of his first approach - the greens and whites declined to EUR 12 million offered on Tuesday - and returned to the charge up the parade in an attempt to overcome the reluctance . Lions respond today.
  9. Rojo will be playing centre back, that's the position he plays for his club teams. He's the Lovren replacement but will probably play against Chelsea as left back if Bertrand can't play.
  10. I agree with this, I can't imagine Les heading to Portugal to offer an amount that they will refuse then fly home. There will be some negotiations, haggling face to face then hopefully an agreement can be made and then Les will speak to Rojo whilst there and the negotiations will start again. Could be out there a couple of days, hopefully bring him back on the plane in time for Saturday's game to watch his team mates in action.
  11. So just to simplify things... Red is stating that we had to sell some players to gain the extra revenues that we can push more than 4m that is our allowable increase over £56M? Then next year we're allowed an additional £4M over what we end up this year coming year? All well and good and I can see how it works with getting loans in but not spending much outlay on the transfer fee to keep the wages up BUT we have let go a lot of players including their wages so we will have to bring more players in than we let go of to increase our wages and we are not doing that as yet. If we bring in a couple of players on £60K+ like Rojo then it may work but I foresee our wage bill being lower for 2014/15 than 2013/14. So for Red's idea to work and we are indeed increasing our wage bill then we need to see a fair few players in, could explain why we're going for 3 to 4 loans and about 4 signings. All interesting stuff though and welcome Red.
  12. We will get a centre back. I'm hoping it's done before the weekend. Seems Taider has competed his medical and is probably doing the Photo shoot and getting everything ready for 4pm. I then think we'll sign two more players on Thursday or Friday (after Celtic are dumped out of the Champs League qualification). Looking up...
  13. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good betwetting moment for the resident babies.
  14. Look what pops up from Ben Smith when things are looking slightly up once more. Predictable.
  15. Soon can be three hours or days and when it comes in you're all itk.
  16. If Bertrand scores or creates a goal he's done more than Shaw. It's not all about running flat out up and down the wing.
  17. Agree, I hate all this fate tempting rubbish.
  18. KBilly has let us know when a signing has occurred or when Koeman has signed on but if I remember correctly he also went mental about everyone should be giving Lovren more respect as he has been amazing for us. I think KBilly's source is close to the players so he could be a bit biased about things.
  19. No doubt you'll gleefully return with your regular line of "I told you so" which seems to be in every other post of yours lately.
  20. Destroyed for Morgan, doesn't he realise it's 6 years destroyed for the fans with him forcing his move? Prefers to be with poch than saints even though we've paid him handsomely and gave him a platform to play. Needs to show us more respect, if the club say no it's no. Be tough on him or Ralph is on to a hiding to nothing.
  21. Only tribal football and nothging new but sod it, need all the positivity we need around here, especially with incomings.. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/southampton-willing-go-higher-celtic-keeper-forster-4033132 http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/southampton-table-bid-sporting-lisbon-defender-marcos-rojo-4033125
  22. Ings seems to be a great bloke, helping out with very ill children and being there for them, I think this may be related but that's immaterial. I'm assuming the offers on the table have a shelf life? Liverpool definitely won't wait around all day, but then again they might be waiting for us to sign him before they then sign him from us before the end of the window for double the price.
  23. No thanks, I'm lloking forward to this game and looking forward to the season with the new look saints team.
  24. And what if we bring in quality signings, 3 or 4 to go straight in the team? Will you still be crying then? Kevin Davies thinks we'll be alright. http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-southampton-supporters-need-reality-check-says-ex-striker-davies-140728104196
