A Rangers fan who chanted sectarian remarks at a match has been fined £600 and banned from football games for five years. Abdul Rafiq, 41, the only Muslim member of the English Defence League , was heard shouting "F*** the Pope" during a match at Ibrox between Rangers and Chelsea. At Glasgow Sheriff Court, Rafiq, of the city's Kelvinbridge, pled guilty to the offence of religiously aggravated breach of the peace by shouting, swearing and uttering sectarian remarks.
