I cant really get that annoyed at either DMG or Robertson. its not their fault they get picked even though they are not good enough. There's no-one better, apart from those out on loan - its not like they are keeping better players out of the side. If they were underperforming then that would be frustrating but I dont believe they can do much better. DMG, whatever thinks or pretends to think about him, has not even done it at a lower level than this, and Robertson was loaned out from another side at our level, so he's clearly not that great either. If you don't have the quality up front, like a Premiership quality striker like Doyle at Reading, then maybe our neat passing outside the penalty area is not the way forward. Then i think you need someone like Howard at Derby when they went up. Go more direct and have your big, strong, ugly man up there with little ability but getting on of long punts up field and play from there. Tonight was a good example, Kuqi is terrible in terms of ability but he won almost every header, barged Pearce out the way for the opener, and generally gave Palace a platform to attack our frail defence. Unfortunately we have neither options, so i guess we'll just continue to be the best passing side on the way down to league one. How nice

Both Stern and Rudi have clearly been played recently to show the rest of the league that they can still do a job so we can ship them out in my opinion. We have DMG anyway so who needs the man who scored the goals that kept us up last year. DMG is a world beater with an extremely professional attitude and will score at least 30 goals this season. I'm almost past caring but I can't quite cut myself off from it. Depressed

Tough call between Kelvin and Lallana for MoM last night. So glad he switched his phone off on deadline day, but Lallana was the class act on the pitch last night. He demands the ball and when we play well everything goes through him. Also allows Surman a bit more room to play. Those two and Cork in midfield is great, and we have Morgan to slot back in as well. Only been able to make last night and the Brum cup game this season, so maybe I have rose-tinted view of what we can do, but if we play football like yesterday's second half I don't mind us losing a few games against the 'lump it forward merchants' becuase we will also play a fair few teams off the park. COYR!

Back to the original thread, what official club site in the country would react differently? Hardly likely to get a player up there saying 'we were terrible and yeah, things are only going to get worse, that is as good as we can play' are they?

KD is revelling in having so much to do. Any keeper would make a few great saves playing with our defence. To be fair to kelvin, I think he's been good this season, along with lallana probably our best performer

It may not do much good but we need to change system now. Go 4-4-2, Pekhart and John up top. Wotton and Morgan in middle with Lallana right and Surman left. Perry and Svensson/Cork at CB and the team at least looks to have a bit of strength and experience in the through middle, and Lallana and Surman can hopefully create from out wide. Ultimately it probably won't help, and maybe we are doomed, but things may improve a little. The thing with the kids is that the confidence is so fragile, but on the flip side it may take one lucky result to get the confidence flooding back, I hope

They are only 3rd bottom because of a points deduction at the start of the season. If they had started on a level playing field they would be play-offs. I think we could get muscled out of it, but hopefully ability going forward (basically, Lallana) can show through.
