  1. I'd let Clyne's contract run down and rather than sell him this summer, there's no way we'd get 18m for him with a year on his contract. I don't think anyone is desperate enough. Richards is barely getting a game for Fiorentina, he'd be a huge step down. I'd look to bring in a right back this summer anyway, they can play second choice to Clyne for a season. Sign a proper centre forward rather than someone who can do a job in a couple of positions. Gignac fits the bill. Personally I'd like to see us spend the majority of our budget on a centre forward, get someone really class in. Sign Elia, can't imagine he will cost much. Spend any money we get from the Schneiderlin sale trying to tie down Alderwiereld. Then we would just need a replacement for Schneiderlin, there's no way Reed is ready and when you play two defensive mids you need at least three there. Steven Davis and JWP can't play that role IMO. A little bit of scouting and I think there are quite a few young players who can play alongside and compliment Wanyamas style. If we lose Toby, Schneiderlin and Clyne in the summer I think we will really struggle to replace those three and sign the players we need to beef up the squad.
  2. We need to gamble and sign a striker or at least some sort of attacker. With Long out were down to Tadic, Pelle, JWP and Elia. Another injury or suspension and were stuffed. You need three solid attackers and then options from the bench. We can't rely on youngsters to change games if we are serious about a top four push.
  3. Lordshill 10 doesn't go up Toothill anymore! luckily for anyone who runs it, it's mostly around Nursling. Im pretty sure the Southampton Half route is over the itches bridge, turn around and run over it again, then up towards Northam bridge , through Bitterne that was up to the top of burgess road and then down to the common.
  4. Haven't been cycling for about four months but I am doing the january insanity sportive of the 31st (http://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/events/ordnance-survey-january-insanity-sportive/) 57 miles, should be interesting... Looking forward to being able to cycle properly again once the days start getting a little longer, can't fit everything I want to do into weekends!
  5. Osvaldo was crap for us and he's been crap for everyone since we started farming him out on loan. We just need to hope someone is stupid enough to sign him permanently.
  6. 5 point difference and we play them away, I think we will struggle to catch them. They do look crap defensively and miss Toure, could do with Ivory Coast getting to the final of the ACON.
  7. His best position is the most attacking of a midfield three, I think all our midfielders look better when there is some rotation between them rather than one playing as a set number ten with two holders. If he can add a few goals to his game he will become first choice ahead of Davis in that position IMO which shows how good he is playing currently. Can't see JWP ever becoming a holding player or a wide player, hasn't quite got the physical attributes to play those positions.
  8. Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Gardos, Targett, Reed, Cork, Hesketh, JWP, Elia and Long. If we are a couple of goals up if give Clyne and Fonte a break.
  9. Not just those sort of managers - Mourinho has a very settled starting XI. Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Luis/Azpi, Cesc, Matic, Hazard, Oscar, Willian/Schurrle, Costa only two positions which change for rotation.
  10. Forster Clyne Fonte Toby Bertrand Wanyama Schneiderlin Davis Mane Pelle JRod Davis Gardos Long Yoshida Elia JWP Tadic No space for Cork or any of our youngsters. Very strong swuad yet we are still short at right back and probably short of a forward as well.
  11. I have signed up for this, two weeks after Brighton so ive no idea what sort of condition my legs will be in. I've been running a fair bit of the course recently. The hardest parts seem to be over the itchen bridge and back again, up Burgess road and then through the common up the parkrun hill. Should be a good event, I really hope they sell out and it happens every year. The Lordshil 10m event is a month away now and it's a great flat course with support all the way round. http://www.lordshillroadrunners.org.uk/lordshill-10-mile/
  12. They don't drink in Southampton.
  13. Can always sleep on my floor if you want
  14. Forren was/is a massive alchy, that's why we got rid.
  15. Great game, thought both teams played well, away side slightly more lucky. I was right back for the home side.
  16. I doubt Forren will ever play for us, he's too busy supporting the local pubs. Happy with either Fonte or Hooiveld as fourth choice and Yoshida decent third choice. If we're going to kick on we need two new centre backs and a contract for Boruc as our priority IMO.
  17. Biggest gap in our squad IMO. Need to replace Bart as our number one priority with someone as good as or better than Kelvin and a few years younger. I'd take a look a Kieron Westwood from Sunderland or possibly even risk Craig Gordon if they release him? Either way Sunderland have three very good keepers, one will be leaving this summer.
  18. I got asked to do a Groupon type offer for KGB deals. They take 50% + Vat off total income and then pay you 60 days later Can imagine what my reply was, you'd have to be seriously desperate to sign up to those terms.

  21. This is the same Arsenal who played a 20 year old right footed holding midfielder at left back last night and also had Djourou suspended last night... Only way I can see this happening is if we cover his wages which free's up money in their wage budget to bring in cover at full back. Would obviously be a very good signing if he could settle.
  22. I'd rather see us sign a few players like this than get shafted on someone like Rhodes, Rodriguez, Sharp etc. I do think we need a couple of attacking players though, Connolly could snap at any time, Barnard hasn't played all season and isn't that great, SDR has yet to find his feet and Lallana / Lambert / Guly have played a lot of football. In an ideal world we will sign this bloke and someone with some Championship experience towards the end of the month as teams get desperate.
  23. www.agp-maintenance.co.uk - clearly i'm a bit of a retard.
  24. It's easy enough, best way for a DIYer is probably: Isolate the water supply and cut the hot & cold pipes with a 15mm pipe cutter. Then disconnect the taps from the sink. Get a couple of push fit flexi tap tales. Attach the new taps to the sink with the tap tales connected. Wire wool around the edges of the old copper pipe Place the pushfit fittings over the old pipes turn the water supply back on and you should be fine! Slightly harder if you've bought a monobloc tap... It's not actually that hard, most taps will come with some sort of instructions its just a case of taking your time and making sure you don't cut away too much of the old copper pipes etc. If you can't get your head round that I charge £40 to change a pair of taps - all my info is at www.agp-maintenace.co.uk but really if you take your time it's not too much for a DIYer
