The bloke at the ticket office told me they took 1,500 as the next allocation up was 3,000 and the club didn't want to commit to such a big allocation after they got stung with an away allocation at Spurs.

I have fitted loads of kitchens and personally always go to Howdens. Used to use Magnet but my customer got messed around by them over an American fridge/freezer so haven't gone back. Some of the high end Howdens stuff isn't quite as good as it should be IMO but that's only ever been little problems I've encountered which most people probably wouldn't even consider a problem. Have hears good things about Wren kitchens, there units are delivered built like Howdens but also with doors and handles attached. Have fitted a couple of IKEA kitchens, both fine and good value for money although takes times to build it all and also the plumbing for the sinks is always a bit suspect. worktops there are great value especially. Never fitted b&q or Wickes kitchens. I would suggest shopping around, if I was fitting a kitchen for myself and didn't want to spend a fortune is get units, doors and handles from Howdens, shop around for some timber worktops, get a sink from a plumbers merchants and look online for appliances.

Just curious, anyone done theirs lately.......? how much would something like this cost for a decent (nothing spectacular) standard. depends how much you want to spend really and how much on top of just the kitchen install you want. If need sub floor sorting, plastering, decorating, tilling etc it can get expensive but if you just want a budget howdens kitchen some worktops and a new sink you can do it for a couple of grand easy. really easy. You just need a plug socket, a length of pipe to the waste and a cold feed.

He needs to take a few more chances, he's playing within himself. At the same age Schneiderlin was bossing games for us admittedly at a lower level. If he can develop into a proper attacking midfielder he could be gold as his set pieces are brilliant, he's just not really effecting games atm.

We played like that fairly often last season, only difference was we didn't get a goal today. If we had hit them on the break and scored it would be seen as a classic away performance. As it is we lack any confidence on the ball to make things happen and really miss Toby bringing the ball from the back. That same set up with Classie, Bertrand, Mane and hopefully a CB who can play a bit will get us plenty of results.

Yeah just you will be asked to take the lid off.

Juanmi is just another option and body around the squad, up to him to show his worry but at 22 I doubt he's in a huge rush. I doubt we will see the best of him until next season. Having quality options on the bench will make a huge difference, our bench at times last season was embarrassing. Will also help keep Tadic/Pelle/Mane etc fresh with the extra games. As for Davis he's a vital cog, I like how he's both our most overrated player and also most underrated player. The way we play he's vital IMO, I don't think we could get away with playing four attacker, we need him there offering some balance.

Jack Stephens Signs Until 2019 & Season Long Loan to Boro
Andy_Porter replied to Chez's topic in The Saints
Was going to post the same thing. Maybe they don't want to trust young players in such important positions and feel a loan is best at this stage. As long as he's playing it can only be a good thing IMO. -
I have also joined the league. Spending far too long agonising over my squad selection, could do with the season starting!
-
I have a feeling we're after a winger, we don't have any out and out wingers and I think Koeman will fancy someone like that around the squad. Just hopefully not Elia.
-
I don't see the need for two more centre backs. Four senior centre backs with some youngsters as cover is fine, it's a shame that Gardos is out for 6-7 months but there's no point spunking a chunk of our budget on five senior centre backs when we only play with two and have McCarthy, Turnbull, Stephens etc. I'd like to see us being in a top class CB, i hope we don't rush into a signing and make a mistake now Gardos is injured. Also another starting CDM, then we would have real competition for places in midfield with a few versatile players.
-
Seems like sort of player who needs to be the star of a team to excel. He's brilliant for Switzerland and was top class for Basel. would be a top signing.
-
Being linked with some really good players this window. Hopefully we can pull a couple of them off. Cedric, H. Moreno, classie, Cabaye, Remy, Austin, Song - that's a real step up from what I expected.
-
They were asked to rate transport links, turnstiles, stadium layout, food and drink, view of the pitch and security. i always judge an away day experience on the turnstiles, stadium layout and the in ground pies. What a load of BS. What really matters: ease of getting from town centre to stadium and back, train links to the town centre, atmosphere from home fans, ease of getting a beer at half time and number of tickets available.

Meet will both be seeded.

Great season but 1 out of 21 away since 7th feb !
Andy_Porter replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
cant lump that all on Pelle. Koeman had a 12m striker he didn't trust/fancy for the majority of the time we where misfiring. Should have ave changed the style and system to incorporate Long as our number nine and given Pelle a rest. I think Koeman should be getting a bit of stick for his handling of Long at times. -
So 16 goals from a player who cost half as much is a great return? I think the problem with Tadic and Pelle is that they are both used to a 34 games season with one domestic cup and a winter break. They come over here rather than get three weeks off for Christmas they hit the busiest section of the season. Next season we will get a lot more from both of them especially if we have another attacker upfront to rotate.
-
Feels like he's been through everything with Southampton. Can't see us having many players hit 300 appearances for us any time soon.
-
Then you'd end up with owners making billions from clubs. Players are more deserving of the money in football than the owners...
-
Every other team in the league struggle - United are crap at transitions without Carrick, Chelsea are probably the best in the league with Terry and Fabregas, City really struggle to build from the back etc. It's something we're very good at which we will struggle to replicate without those two.
-
If Morgan goes we need to make this signing, imagine how crap we will be at moving the ball out from the back without Toby and Schneiderlin. Grim.
-
Were a better side this season but we also seem to be a fair bit more inconsistent. This years team with a fit Jay Rod would have been incredible. If we had 15 goals from him this season we'd probably still be in the hunt for 4th. Boruc - Forster - 100% Forster IMO Shaw - Bertrand - Shaw edges it, Bertrand has been far better than I expected though. Fonte - Fonte Lovren - Alderwiereld - Toby is the far better player. Clyne - Clyne Wanyama - Wanyama Schneiderlin - Schneilderin Lallana - Tadic - Lallana for me. Davis - Davis Jay Rod - Mane - Close but Jay Rod was more of a goal threat Lambert - Pelle - Pelle for me is the better player and more of a goal threat, although neither of them are quite at the level we need to make the step up
-
They would have played that team all season of they could. Problem being without Sturridge they can't get away with one up front. If he had been fit all season they would be tol four.

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him
Andy_Porter replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
What about Liverpool where Coutinho managed to drift into space between Davis and Wanyama and hit an unchallenged shot from 25 yards? We're lucky to have two great defensive midfielders, only one of them is world class. Schneiderlin is the better, more intelligent player.
