  1. Find a post from me anywhere on this forum where I say Chambers or any other Saints player who left us is rubbish, crap, useless etc etc and you win a prize. The only brigade I ever had designs on joining was the fire brigade when I was a kid. I'm saying Clyne is, was, and always will be a better player than Chambers. I should have specified that I mean in the right back position only though. Chambers, in my opinion, isn't suited to a full-back position anyway. He could be an awesome centre-back quite soon though.
  2. He kept Clyne out of the team because Poch lost the plot. He was never, at any period, better than Clyne. Not even for that minute Clyne tied his shoelaces together. I am a little prejudiced though because I don't like the way Chambers runs. Something isn't right there.

    Danny Ings

It is your right to disagree. I think Ings is on another level both in terms of retention and vision but I don't want to keep banging on about Ings so it looks like I'm his long lost lover. I would be, as I said, not disappointed with Austin. He's not a bad player. He has many plus points. I just don't see that he represents real progress for us but I will cheer very loudly when he shoves that down my throat next season.

    Danny Ings

I never said that he had bad build up play. Take a breath before you get your demon fingers out. I wouldn't be disappointed with Austin. Sometimes there is a chance to get a player who represents real progress and, for me, Ings was one of those chances (as Song also is). I'm just disappointed we have missed out on such a player who, as it happens, is also a Saints fan. Austin isn't bad. He just isn't Ings. Ings doesn't give the ball away lightly. Austin......he's pretty average as a build up player but not necessarily bad.

    Danny Ings

Ings is, was and always will be twice the player Austin is. Ings in the Saints team would have been a very good thing. He is an intelligent, technically gifted team player. Austin in the same team......he'll always score goals but our build up play will break down with him just as often. He'd get his share of headlines, more so than Ings probably, but he's half the player.
  6. I've seen a fair bit of SK and I'd see him as a step back for us. He loves the Hollywood pass to the opposition but keeps on trying for the 1 in 10 that comes off. Not the quickest, not the smartest, average strength for a centre half but I wouldn't say he's bad either. He's just not what we want if we want to progress in my opinion.
  7. He's living proof that white men can't jump. He barely got off the floor for that first goal which was a cracking shot of course but other prem keepers would have got closer. Pelle is also proof by the way. I'm 8" shorter and I reckon I'd do him in the air.
  8. Jack, you can come round my house for tea any time you like. Best of luck at Swansea.
  9. That was a pen. Cheers ref
  10. 6th which I would be more than happy with. Anything more is a Brucie
  11. Shouldn't have applied to Man U. Top team?
  12. Shout out to Gardos. He's played a blinder so far
  13. Not good at all
  14. Wanyama for me, but the whole back 4 are right behind him.
  15. I think it might be due to the fact the shot was so well placed that Billy Whizz wouldn't have got close.
  16. Cracking win that. Bit of a Groundhog Day for me this is. I have that same uncomfortable 'could it be I am totally wrong' feeling about Mane I had when Pelle played his first blinder for us. First world problems. "I thought Mane was crap but he's actually brilliant and the whole Saints coaching staff knew what I didn't. Wah!!!!!!!"
  17. Now we've lost our bear i'm emigrating to Alaska. It will take time but I will learn to love again........ On topic, just for kicks, that's not very independent of The Independent and pretty dismissive of Villa. I heartily enjoy the media recognition of our successes on and off the pitch but this is not cricket. Not cricket at all. Villa deserve a bit of respect here (and a good thumping tomorrow).
  18. That's Adam publishing a picture of himself in the Bournemouth Echo then.
  19. Who gives a crap what a West Ham fans says on a Stoke forum. You can pick holes in any club you like if you try hard enough. We're 2nd and i'm watching the best, most attractive Saints team of my lifetime. Nothing else matters.
  20. Any win against them works for me. We didn't do that well 2nd half but still Forster didn't have much to do. It makes me want to hashtag 'awesome defence' but I need a few more beers down first.
  21. Schneiderlin has simply been world class (and I mean world class). Not over this one though. We're playing well but never under-estimate Stoke, they'll never fold their hand until it's over.
  22. Definitely a cotton bud down the jap's eye, 8-0 is
  23. The annoying thing is that Spurs aren't actually that good. We were just terrible in all departments and they completely deserved the win.
  24. The embarrassment of a family appearing from all corners of the house to ask what's wrong........... "Uh....this guy just missed a sitter" "Oh"
  25. Don't think I've disagreed so much with one paragraph, since Barry Sanchez got kicked off here etc etc etc....
