I read the first page, and am posting without reading the rest. It has been very cathartic to read this list of ******s. The first fifty posts smelled of lack of commitment and ultimate failure. Although I am happy for our future, I am sure that some of our current players (One already has) would grace a similar future thread. I am just happy that for the time being, at least, we have shed the stink of failure.

My god, these results are killing me! I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I bury all my unicorn poo under Pompey's pitch. It helps fantasies grow, but has no substance in the real world, so it only increases the disappointment when the fairy tales end and normal life becomes reality again.

Not having a clue about who these fireman were, or the circumstances of their death, I tentatively agree. Respects should be for people within the game, or a massive local disaster involving great loss. In the case of the latter, a minute silence is appropriate. In the case of the former (Loss of a footballing legend or club stalwart) Then a minute of applause is the best possible tribute. I absolutely think that applause is more fitting than silence in any circumstance BTW

Just discount the settling in period at the start of the season and we are golden. I did that a long time ago!

Huddersfield are only looking at Colchester, and Colchester are only looking at Huddersfield....Reason being is that the race is realistically between those two. We don't have a chance in hell of both of those two failing while we win all our games.......However, we need to carry on the way we are doing if only to solidify in the minds of the players what we will be gunning for next season. Even failure at reaching the playoffs will be seen positively if we have been seen to have never given up. Team spirit is what will keep our current players at the club and attract new signings. PS I'm a tad drunk, so please excuse the pointlessness of this post.

Will we reach the playoffs? Not very bloody likely at all. Am I a happy bunny anyway? Definitely. We may not have been great today, but what any team needs is to be able to hold their cool and sometimes win the games they don't dominate. This is one of the many things that Saints have been losing out on for what seems like forever.

I am very sad to se how negative the saints fans on here are. That's all.

The negativity of some of these "fans" is just astounding. Is this forum just a bunch of children with a mere smattering of people that understand just how fickle this game can be to someone that genuinely cares? Some people here need to grow up and learn to live with the disappointments that are innevitable in this game
