  1. Great last sentence - totally agree and you must question his judgement over Martina.
  2. Agreed, but now Koeman's left, let's get Martina back or will he continue to follow Koeman's everywhere, even to Barcelona. The Scourers must have loved Martina, one of Koeman's summer madness signings.
  3. Yes, no doubt Martina will go with him, even to Barcelona. The Scourers must have loved Martina.
  4. MP out Strachan in. Made to happen - the second coming
  5. It would be a total lack of ambition to start the season with Stephens and Yoshida, despite their efforts last season. As for the Polish guy he looks like another Gardos!! What a wasted window so far.
  6. I agree. All squads need an intake of quality. To start the season with much the same squad as last season is complacency not ambition. Our summers are dominated by certain players looking to move on and it is all very predictable. They eventually move and we haven't the transfer window time or bottle to spend the money.
  7. I have never wanted Ajax to win more than I do next week .
  8. Agreed. We are pretty predictable and will be cannon fodder next year unless the manager becomes more adventurous. We were more exciting in our first season 2012-13.
  9. Don't forget the thrashing by Arsenal in the cup
  10. A great performance. Watched in a pub in Kent and everyone wanted us to win. But, undone at the death by failure to replace Fonte in central defence. Reed - hold your hands up!
  11. He has lost confidence because of all the changes in front of him. All keepers like a settled back four!
  12. I would add complacency to the list of issues. Fonte was certain to leave but no replacement was found. Puel was a 'safe' choice but is out of his depth. The board have to be more aggressive and ambitious otherwise it is the championship. Pardew was a good choice in League 1 and he signed Fonte and Lambert - thanks to Cortese who HAD AMBITION.
  13. Lose on Tuesday and a relegation struggle may beckon. We need more depth if rotation is to work properly. Sell Isgrove to anyone who will take him.
  14. what does Isgrove bring to the side - can't see anything. Sims is great going forward - a real gem.
  15. Rubbish and lose Redmond and others to possible injury for a hopeless cause.
  16. Totally agree. This is a massive week and there is no Fonte replacement. If we go out of both cups the board is responsible. I hope Stephens steps up but Yoshida and Stephens is not what we would have hoped for in these big games. I hope Les takes his share of the blame for a potential cock up.
  17. Agreed - have we reached a position where we are NOT replacing players. No Mane/Pelle replacement and no Fonte replacement. Bring on the relegation struggle, Les.
  18. A recipe for a relegation struggle - Fonte has to be replaced this window. We are not in a position to experiment with Gardos or Stephens. Why risk Premiership money for the sake of a 10m spend now.
  19. Fonte goes and we are too light at the back to sustain our inevitable struggle to stay in the Premier League in the final few months of the season. Get Sakho in!
  20. Some players have lost confidence in Puel, notably Forster, Fonte and Long. Serious drop in standards from some superb players last year. A real management issue.
  21. Great performance but the bench looked thin on quality. Significant signings needed soon. Fonte has effectively gone and he has to be replaced. Lets not be beaten to decent signings by Big Sam and Pullis. Lets spend some decent money.
  22. Boring interviews, boring tactics and boring transfer speculation. Is this the Southampton way? So disappointing, got to be more ambitious to stay in this league.
  23. Absolutely. The squad has never had the depth of quality needed this season to cope with two games a week.
  24. Giving Sam Gallagher away was crazy - he may have scored one of Long's chances and there may have been no stopping him after that! Short sighted decision - youth has no fear and he may have stepped up yesterday!
