Once Reading get beaten on Saturday I think Coppel may have a rethink about Bennett and Pearce and they will go out again before the deadline shuts.

I see that the transfer window has been extended to 2nd Feb 5pm - means an extra couple of days to get in centre backs ;-)

Wow that amazes me as I think Lancashire is weak, poor in the air and beaten very easily. He is better on the ground than Pearce for passing but this league games are mainly won in the air. Pearce has been one of the only players that wins headers in both boxes and for me will be missed.

Smith will have to improve greatly from what he showed on Saturday as he was abysmal. We are short on funds yet sign a Millwall reserve player no matter how cheap. Hopefully Molyneux will help us improve in the set piece part of our game as Lallana, Skacel and Holmes efforts have been shocking.

I can't believe anyone takes what that Judas coward says seriously anymore. That is why I get so angry this year though - we do have better players in places than last year - well we have some that give a ****e and try far harder. We would not be in this position if the manager had any tactical nous at all - I can think of at least 3 homes games where we have lost or drawn when a change of personnel or formation would of possibly seen us get a result instead he sat and watched or made a stupid decision. With NP he sorted out what was needed and kept us up - can you honestly see JP doing that?

Compared to what we have now he was miles better IMO.

Smith was absolutely shocking and had no idea - was beaten in the air everytime. Playing on the right the full back knew he didnt have the pace or skill to get by him so kept blocking that off and forced him onto his left foot and covered any cross..forced him back and back. Oh for a manager that can see things early and make changes quickly (well for JP 45 mins is quickly)...remember Billy Davies you know the man that only plays long ball and bringing on Shaun Teale after 20 minutes stopping Bale marauding in the league game the other year.

If that experience was in this country yes I agree but not in the 2nd tier of Dutch football that is totally alien to the CC. As I have posted on many occasions we all know we had to rely on youth but there have been 5 or 6 stupid loan signings that could of been used on more experienced pro's like Perry, Lucketti to mix in and not totally reliant on young 16/17 year olds.
