I dont think anyone is arguing that £15 adults and kids £1 is sustainable and there is the fact that currently our break even figure was 17k but....£24 is madness to watch the current squad. Last night I watched the reserves for nothing....8 out of the first eleven have played or are regularly in the first team squad do you believe our prices are value for money? As I put above £20 and £5 for kids for 2 or 3 games and test the water.

So all the extra juniors dont buy food, drink, programmes, stuff in megastore? For your info we were 8 stewards down for the Forest game so you can discount that from your sums.

Its Indian Take Over day tomorrow yippee !!! -
Hey Frank not all OAPS need their nurse with them....some OAPS can attend regularly unaccompanied ;-)

As you would if you were local and having one - jeesh there is nothing worse than slagging off people when you are never in their position is there. Personally if they reduced all tickets to £20 and kids to £5 for the rest of the season I wouldn't care less.

Would Ron Davies of had the support from the people on here without a nostalgic thread being raised? There are nearly 200 replies and nearly 5,000 views on that thread so I think its you that are way off .......as usual. Well done troll you got what you wanted responses.

I think Jeffrey Immudia is a better right back but not ready yet, Hatch did Ok tonight but is too lightweight for the CC IMO.
-
Sounded horrible hearing him cry out in pain - went off with oxygen mask but from what I heard they think its a small fracture and no ligament damage according to his mate there. Nowhere near as bad as the horrific Craig Richards one I witnessed a while ago so hopefully he will come back strong. Speedy recovery Jamie.

A good game to watch but tempered by the quality of the opposition. It sounds like Jamie White fractured a bone in the back of his leg according to his mate I was talking to. Some very good performances tonight especially Gillet who ran the show . I though Boyle looked pretty decent and showed some very good touches but needs to grow a bit as very lightweight. Wotton from the back kept encouraging the kids and moving them forwards and Olly looked far more comfortable at this level. Fish on the left is going to be a decent player in a year or so. Gasmi looks very comfortable on the ball but hardly put in a tackle and gave the ball away at least 60% of the time. Pulis was very ordinary for me and light years away from CC standard, some poor challenges, shocking distribution at times but kept going and tried to make himself available. He obviously hasnt played much as he was looked as though he had cramp at the end - loan to a CC1 or 2 club would do him good. Forecast worries me, he got stranded and beaten in the air for the second goal and his positioning from crosses worried me. Smith started brightly and was switched inside when White was carried off but faded second half Hatch scored 2 good goals, Mills got the third after the keeper parried a rasper from Boyle and Olly a good header from a corner. We hit the woodwork on 4 occasions and were worthy 4-2 winners.

Thanks for that and some reasonable points but I disagree totally about subs...I still cant fathom the Gillett one versus wednesday who were just pumping high balls forward when we had better options on the bench IMO. Coventry at home where we had players dead on there feet and bombarded our area and only changed after they had scored and Plymouth at home where we drew 0-0 and had Pearce sat on the bench and could of thrown him up front for the last 10 or so. Thats just 3 from memory but of course I have the hindsight of results but felt at the time he was wrong. I still feel he could do a job here but not as first team manager unless he got in someone more experienced here to help as Gorre hasnt shown much yet. -

Just a simple question Adrian - have you attended many home games this season? This is not a ****ing contest but just interested to see what you base your thoughts on of him doing a good job. What is it that impresses you his tactics, substitutions, formations? Genuinely interested. Because personally he has cost us as many points as we have lost by silly decisions and tactics and even had Sundance questioning him and advocating bringing in Dowie as help. -

Your post is so contradictary though, you say that you are very supportive of what Wilde and Crouch are doing then go on to say we should be like Palace! The main difference is that Palace didn't go for some mental Dutch experiment but employed a manager in Warnock that knew how to get results in this league. Like a lot of Lowe apologists the kids excuse cannot be used here either given that Palace squad have younger players than ours! That is something you cannot blame Crouch for but that mental egotist you follow so blindly. Had we not ****ed up the wall what little money we had on loan and agent fees on Pulis, Gasmi, Smith, Forecast, Robertson and Gorre we just might of been able to recruit the experienced players you mention. -

[QUOte I am not saying that Burley did not have his faults, but like him or not he did manage to get us into the play off in his only full season and would have made Cardiff it it wasn't for a couple of crap penalties. Hardly the stuff or unmitigated failure. He then lost three of his better players for the next season. Hardly an ideal situation from which to build another promotion push. To blame him for what is going on now is plain nonsense. We have had three sets of managers since he went, and when he went we were still a couple of wins away from the play offs. The reason we are where we are is because we have no money. I can't quite make out whether you are on a wind up of posters or are serious as you keep missing most peoples point about Burley. Burley had such a good squad of players that we should not of needed to get to the play offs - we should of been automatic. Had we not wasted the whole pre-season ignoring our main frailty which was the centre of defence(something nearly every manager bar Pearson has done) coupled with actually showing some interest and understanding what a substitute is for then perhaps some of us would hold Burley in higher regard. Do you remember Watford at home 2-0 down with 20 minutes to go and bringing on sub 3 minutes left? What about the game we were 0-0 and Saga in injury time? -
I used to remember Arlott for his brilliant cricket commentries from the old county ground in Northlands Rd.
-
Can anyone else remember Quiz Ball and Saints being on there. Thrashed Leeds ;-) a great childhood memory. I just gave myself a shudder when I saw that name McLaren again who was probably the worst keeper we have ever signed. http://www.btinternet.com/~m.d.pratesi/mp/quizball1966.html RIP David.
-
With the resources he had available to him in the division he was playing in I would think he would be!
-
Redknapp closely followed by Burley as I jumped for joy when we got him and jumped for joy when he left. Complete lack of interest coupled with some of the worst team selections I have ever seen like Watford at home with 6 players playing on their 'wrong side'.

Come on DT the guy had how many posts to his name yet you still fall for all this crap? http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2009/jan/07/west-ham-newcastle-football-finances In that environment, and with the financial world bracing itself for the inevitable next hideous shock, Harris said those who might have taken a punt on English football's glittering global "brands" have become suddenly more cautious. "You can't force a club down somebody's throat," he said. "They have to really want to buy it. They may expect to make money out of a club ultimately but a football club is a trophy asset, for enjoyment. Confidence is dented everywhere and I do not see much activity on takeovers until we get some form of stability in people's minds." -

But thats what this club does....Stuart Gray, Wigley then Dodd/Gorman now JP/Gorre/ Wotte and still lessons are never learn't by those running us are they? -
Is that anything to do with 1 win at home some shocking tactical decisions that cost us points or the fans not banging drums and blowing trumpets?
-
Not from my area of the Kingsland its not and just as loud and passionate as anywhere else. Ok we dont sing constant puppet on a string songs like the kids do but somje of us dont feel the need to chant about the Skates every two minutes and only join in or start Saints songs.
