  1. Don't start me on Nilsson having watched him in the Euros before we signed him it was soo obvious he was no good for the English league - never before have I seen a player play 4 games without tackling once! The whole Hoddle thing is pie in the sky though, who knows if Sturrock had stayed 4 more games we may have had enough points going by his win ratio. Loads of other ifs and buts if we did not lose Paul Smith in a training ground incident and have to play Blayney etc and we wouldn't of had to put up with 800 posts bleating the same thing that is based on pure conjecture. Its the same as Pearson isn't it we will never know....if only we had appointed Moyes when we had the chance!
  2. But that is the whole point against that nut job Dalek...there were loads of other choices Alain Perrin being one touted for the job but we did what we always do here and go for the cheap option. Guess what ...we did it again recently to prove that loveable old rosey cheeks never ever learns by his mistakes!
  3. Airbrushed from history hahahhahaha your the embarassing one mate with 99.9% of your posts bleating the same over and over again. There were many other choices around at that time who we could of chosen not just your pin up who has been a failure in every job bar rhe one he did here.
  4. Euell/BWP/Paterson/My old Nan who has been dead for 10 years. It just may act as the kick up the arse he needs as there is nothing like competition for places to make you play better - unfortunately McG doesn't have any competition for his place it seems so continues to be ineffective. As a reserve watcher I had this feeling years ago that McG would be deemed lazy as he has one of those lazy gaits and at times loks as though he doesn't care. At times this year that lazy gait has at times seemed to be an excuse.
  5. I would rather have Sturrock than JP or Wotte.
  6. My pick continues to be what I stated above either: a) all gone and never come back b) all stay in the background and have an independant CEO run things. Thats not totally ridding us of the academy philosophy but bringing in a decent manager who will get us out of this mess at home. We pay for all this by getting rid of the useless coaching staff we have - Wotte, Gorre, Van Waals plus Rupert and Cowans salaries. I wonder what happened to the compnesation we received for Burley - gone to the overdraft I suppose.
  7. So if Crouch had delivered the investment by waiting so long that would of been wrong....20/20 hindsite is great isn't it. Crouch believed Fulthorpe/Cousins were going to deliver.....so did many people on here and over the last 3 years from several tyrekickers including Wilde! Whereas Rupert has been consistent and never delivered any decent investment in his tenure.
  8. But the timing of the statement for the handover was abysmal and carried out via local radio, press etc. so no different than now and as mentioned above Chalie Sale did his bit. As for the EGM bit well Rupert didnt exactly go easy last time did he so why would Crouch of done any different - although I think they both had reasons. A) Lowe was waiting for Crouch to make his mind up which side B) Crouch was waiting for Fulthorpe/Cousins.....and still waiting ;-) I still believe we would of been far better off with all 3 working together or even just being reported to by a proper independant CEO and all way out of the limelight. Funded by Cowan and Lowes wages they are currently drawing. I still believe in Utopia though when all 3 are banished for good!
  9. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/football_league/article3665879.ece So he was trying to stabilise the club last season but when others are trying this season thats wrong......oh yeah I get it.
  10. Did Rupert not do exactly that last season? Double standards there Jonah!
  11. So the 3 poorest clubs in this division are going down? There was me thinking it had something to do with the 3 promoting from within! In our case for the 4th time even though the last 3 times failed abysmally. How many of those 3 went for a ridiculous Dutch experiment? I bet a couple of the bottom clubs bought in cheap loans that didnt work but 6? There are clubs in this league that play with younger members in the squad than we have but how many were totally reliant on them? How many clubs loan out their top goalscorer from the previous season.....but do it 2 seasons running! How many clubs not only loan out their top goalscorer but also nearly every other proven forward they have. But as you say its because we have no money but we do have a chairman who is a good businessman....my arse!
  12. Well old Judas jellyfish said we needed continuity with Wotte at the helm so at least one person was correct on Tuesday night!
  13. As opposed to an all the fans fault, Crouch, Wilde, Corbett, Trust bashing post even though the people left a year ago that never ever gets posted either.
  14. Can I also add to that list the fact we wasted what little money we did have to keep the experienced players on 6 loanees who would struggle to get in a League 1 side Smith as an example! Whoever sits on the talent spotting panel at SMS needs to go to Specsavers sharpish! I don't buy all the small wages part because when you factor in loan and agent fees as well its a fair wedge x6
  15. I have seen him play twice - very average, he was a bit off the pace unsurprisingly given the fact he had not played in a while. He gave his man far too much room , very late in the tackle several times and his distribution was poor. He did make himself available for a pass and kept calling and motivating but he was miles behind Gillet in those games in terms of ability. To be honest there are times I wonder how many times we actually watch a player - Ryan Smith for example may have been great in one game but I have seen him 5 times now and he has been poor in nearly all. In one reserve game he went missing once the defender clumped him twice. Gasmi is great on the ball, can't tackle for toffee, if its not at his feet he wont chase it down and very lightweight. Here are 3 examples of poor signings that to me are obviously way off CC standard yet we sign them.
  16. Yes I was taken in but we all make mistakes don't we...some even thought JP would do well for us didn't they DD? As for protesting...whats the difference between doing that and complaining in a restaurant about a shoddy meal? Only difference is we have had years of shoddy meals. If you pay your money then you are entitled to complain if that product is sub-standard.
  17. Wouldnt of thought Lupoli was signed in time - normally its a 12am Friday deadline and seeing as he wasnt signed till late afternoon but knowing the FA who knows.
  18. But if he is gash then he will be in good company with the other 5 loanees then wont he...but then again you will probably say all those wages still wouldnt add up to Sterns!
  19. Yeah we are doing so well aren't we ...1 win at home all season 5 abysmal loans in and second from bottom ...boy you Lowe Luvvies must be so proud of loveable old rosey cheeks and his Dutch revolution.
  20. Paterson again, he will come good if given time. BWP or Euell or maybe our great loan signing Gasmi will play in the hole.
  21. Great supporters we have always settle for bullsh1t and spin and the drippings of old rosey cheeks nose. As if by magic up pops another one!
  22. Wouldnt it be great though not to have to Google...perhaps if we hadnt wasted money on Gasmi, Pekhart, Forecast, Robertson and Pulis we just may of been able to! Great supporters we have always settle for bullsh1t and spin and the drippings of old rosey cheeks nose.
  23. I am a receiver not a giver!
  24. If Nick says it is happening then I believe him as he has a very good record and one of the only ones on here I would trust for news.
  25. Thats Barnsley's pie bill up then... Barnsley have also signed Iranian midfielder Andranik on loan from Fulham and Liverpool youngster Adam Hammill on loan.
