  1. Those 2 strikers are getting battered every week with little support from the shockingly poor Lallana, out of form Surman, lack of application from McGoldrick. We have very little experience in backup so are basically stuffed. David Armstrong made this very point on Saturday as well. Euell has done well since he came in but getting kicked up in the air every couple of minutes whilst your team mates mince about would **** you off a bit.
  2. Mr Lukers hands are tied.....he has to get approved by the board. I know he has suggested things in the past and these have been rejected. Mr Luker is one of the good guys at SFC from the dealings I have had.
  3. I did not understand why we did not try Liptak up front on Saturday for the last 10 minutes. He is supposed to be a good header of the ball and we have very few who attack the ball in the opposition box.
  4. It means we have a far less Police and stewards bill....allegedly
  5. I sit in DD block 34 I think this is about the guy who stands up and tries to start the crowd with OWTS song several times a game. I know him from Hedge End as he refereed a match against my daughters team last year. Decent bloke.
  6. According to Radio Hampshire it was due to form. I did not understand why Paterson was left out he was on a high after scoring against Ipswich and offers a different option than we have up front.
  7. Time for Immudia as I have always been impressed when I have seen him play in the Ressies. Strong, quick and a good passer of the ball.
  8. Spot on Chez, Gasmi is good on the ball but abysmal off it, cant tackle never chases after it and unless given to feet waste of space. He has a great touch and picks a pass well but never in a million years suited to CCC. I am getting a "I have seen Pulis play" T-Shirt.....he is very vocal and gets around the pitch well and makes himself available. But do you want someone shouting and encouraging you when they can't do it themselves? His tackling was miles late, he misdirected half the passes he made and lost the ball loads of times in possesion. Another injury prone waste of resource. A poor mans Wotton who I can see has some good in him.
  9. Poor tactics cost us, trying to thread needle passes through haystack of 14 players through the middle was never going to work. We did not have a wide man on the bench so Lallana was just like for like with Morgan. We need width every now and then as a plan B. Did anyone of our midfielders or forwards tackle Savage at any time of the game? He just strolled around picking good passes to teammates. No creativity from the midfield and full backs crossing from far to deep gave their defenders time to head the ball away.
  10. But what we actually did was bloat the squad with loads of players in fact we had 41. Van Damme cost 3.5m, McCann was 2m etc etc anyway its gone now and no point in going over that I posted that to clarify who actually said it. History shows which way it went anyway.
  11. Actually it was Strachan in his autobiography as I have just finished it. WGS wanted Malbranque and Saha and we could of got them for 11m but Rupert was of the opinion that you do not give team in the same league as you 11m as that would make them stronger. Ignoring the fcat that it also makes your team stronger .
  12. Because he struggled for most of the season with a calf injury!!! I know I watched him struggle in the reserves with it - so did Pearson who hardly ever missed a game either.
  13. Yeah fancy signing a player that is not eligible....actually you just proved you know jack****e...he was available but decided not to play as he had a massive conflict of interests but whats the problem anyway as you said he was rubbish anyway. I mean we would never sign anyone under loveable old rosey cheeks would we that was never available...like Tin Man and remind me again how many games Pulis has actually played in his career? Its Ok I hear Pearson is jettisoning his winning approach and going for the very successful Dutch Total Football that has stormed the CCC this season. Pearson lost only 3 games.....Wotte has lost 2 so far in a shorter span of games....I'll be back to remind you.
  14. See Nick this is where you always let yourself down...Pearsons first game and who was in the squad? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/?page_id=9787 Even though Lallana was struggling for most of last season with a re-occuring calf injury he was selected when available and felt fit to play. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/?page_id=9514
  15. I think it was posted its the 16th March......cant find that officially yet
  16. Hey I was at that gig...probably the most boring live band ever. Sorry not Saints related but true....
  17. Sorry thats complete horse poo! There were only 2 games that fans turned and then only because the team appeared to have given up. Forest and Doncaster in every other game the support has been pretty good considering the dross that was served up.
  18. McG has been one of the best players recently and had another good game last night so why drop him? If it was you and you had played really well for 3 games and then dropped what would that do for your confidence and morale? Remember these are footballers who have more than enough money and ego's the size of the moon. Gillett is our gritty midfielder and doing that role having Wotton doing that as well will stifle us going forward and we still need wins more than draws given the fact we have wasted 3/4 of the season.
  19. If you are reading this..you must of loved the 3rd goal last night! I think Matt will go on a be a big hit once he has a bit more time and patience from the manager and not thrown in too early. His confidence is key and nurtured along he will make it.
  20. Exactly what I said to my dad at that time.....Bentley is the new Beckham.
  21. Bloody hell! Portsmouth are offering price cuts of up to £120 with their cheapest adult ticket costing £575 .... in that ****hole!
  22. But with players like Idiakez etc out of contract we were showing the bank that costs were being cut - the wings closed, no buses. Nowhere has anyone suggested we could afford to keep John, Rasiak and Saga but to loan all 3...utter madness. Rigorous wage cutting may have save 10 points but how many have we thrown away this season by a shocking Dutch appointment in JP and the mainly youth only players in the first team! Forgetting all this board crap...I know your position which is very similar to mine except one point....that can be left now the only thing that will see us up revenue is wins. The crowd will support the team and manager if the results are there but to play 3/4 of the season with those plans is foolhardy at least and as I pointed out the abysmal waste of resources we had was nigh on criminal....good businessman my arse!
  23. I can as I won a crate of beer on the radio naming Euell as the scorer of that goal.
  24. Basics of budgeting...so you budget for a crowd of 17k then send out on loan 3 of your top goalscorers and alienate all your other senior pro's telling them they "are surplus to requirenments" and any hope of consistantly winning games to keep the 17k coming. Brilliant budgeting but then you would say that. Wotte sat in the background to see whats needed.....bugger me he sat still long enough didn't he for someone heralded as part of the Dutch masterplan! 90% of fans could of told him after 3 games or even before a ball was kicked what was needed...the same that has been needed for the last 4 years. A big bloke up front Euell and ball winning centre half in Size so fair play to Wotte for seeing the bleeding obvious and lets hope he continues for the rest of the season.
  25. Thats what I meant...how good they were! Apart from that incident then.
