Yep they have organised a march outside the Civic Centre on Thursday.....quite why I am not sure but think its to show that the fans are still about and wont let the club die.

It was a great pitch that Southampton schoolboys used to play on..I watched Teddy Nutkins a poster on the main forum play there. It was known as the Gas Works Ground locally by us Redbridge lot. It also had a great cricket pitch as well ...I played in a team with Bob Mitchell the MP once there and took a catch of his bowling http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Mitchell_(UK_politician).

But then we wouldn't of got the £1m they would of stopped the cheque ;-) and we had to have someone keep Killer and Morgan company. The bit in bold says it all though.....if we had any sense we wouldn't of appointed Portvliet and left him in charge for 25 games.

Anyone else heard anything about an MLT consortium.....just something mentioned to me recently not reliable source. I passed this off as Fulthorpe farce but wondered if aanyone knew different?

Pulis was the make weight in the Andrew Davies deal where we got a £1m plus a big wedge off the wage bill. Davies has hardly played for Stoke and in the 3 games I have seen him play for Preston he has been shocking. On its own Pulis ranks along with the other great signings this year.. Forecast, Pekhart, Robertson, Molyneux, Gasmi a complete farce of our wage/loan budget.

Plus Cardiff away...on the way home from that game I had us relegated....can lightening strike twice? I certainly hope so.....losing Gillet will be a big blow and only leaves us a couple of options Wotton did well when he came on against Blackpool. With 7 games to go experiments are not the time but I have seen Lloyd play really well in the middle its his best position - he is the same type as Gillet a terrier and I think passes better. 3 points against Charlton is a must otherwise that fat lady will be warming up again.

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1585147 Bloody hell that is cheap for the Prem - although they do have a lot of competition up north this is very good value.

I can't believe this..... One fan who got carried away with the most pathetic referee I have ever seen gets pounced on by 4 stewards because he is stood on the perimeter near the pitch. We then get 5 or 6 coppers one armed with a video camera filming him jump all over him. Fans were getting upset with the way he was manhandled in front of his kids by thiese 9 or so! The guy was not lashing out, punching or kicking just stating like the rest that he had not really done anything. Yet the next thing we get on here is him being a cross between the Hannibal Lechter and the Yorkshire Ripper..unbelievable.

We were lucky we were not 3 - 0 down at half-time, Brett missed a free header from 12 yards and KD made a great save. Had we started like we did for the last 20 minutes we might of won and fair play to Wotte for the changes he made as Wotton made a big difference as we had 2 competing rather than just Gillet. Defensively we are battling but we create almost nothing offensively. I cannot see where we will get the 4 wins we need to stay up playing like we are.

Because for the majority of the match we were abysmal and out played by a shocking Blackpool side. We had no shape, pattern of play, committment, fight or even skill. Blackpool had a pattern to their play and I could see what they were trying to do....we just lump the ball and hope we get someone close to it. There was one period that 6 times we just gave the ball to the opposition without getting it near one of our players. Thanks heavens we had Size, KD and the excellent Perry.
-
Well the first 2 were spot on he was absolutely pathetic and minced about, diving going down like he had been shot half the time. I shout at anyone who does not pull there weight and that was 3 of the 4 midfielders yesterday. If my comments upset these poor little luvs them that is sad....perhaps if they actually contributed to the team then they would get the encouragement the others like Size, Perry, KD got from me yesterday they give 100% some didnt thats why some of us get annoyed when they stand and watch Blackpool players have free headers, walk through without a tackle and dominate the game without too much bother.
-
Jeesh some of you keyboard warriors really **** me off...it lasted 1 minute for 1 occasion. The rest of the time people were ****ed off with Brett and DJ Campbell diving every time we got within a foot of them nothing to do with being an ex-Saint. The over reaction on here is pathetic.

Just got back after a weekend in that dump of a place...tacky is the best i can describe it as. Cheap beer, Saturday night in Reflex was quality as was the Counting House area...some very nice young ladies. Well done to the fans for the impeccable observed minutes silence. I think our midfield were still standing in the same position for the first 40 minutes as McG, Surman and the shocking Schneiderling were abysmal and minced about letting Blackpool dictate the play. Ormerod missed a free header from 12 yards but give credit to KD who gave him very little target. KD brought off a good dsve from Campbells overhead and to be honest we could of been 3 down at HT. Morgan is such a lightweight powder puff who goes down like he has been shot every five minutes and contributed nothing on the right. An absolute shocking decision for the penalty shouldn't be a surprised for a ref that got 95% of the decisions wrong in this game. He needs to learn its what actually happens not when the crowd shouts loudest. Gillet on the right and Wotton in the centre competed well meant we actually started the second half a bit better although Blackpool were the better of 2 very poor sides. Once we had equalised from the vastly improved McG second half we looked like the more likely to win it although DJ looked dangerous on the break. I didn't think it was a free kick at the end but a corner but this ref again got it wrong. That 1 inch difference between post and into the net just may cost us but to be fair a win would of been unfai as we were shocking - no pattern, style or at times passion worries me. I lost count the number of times it was hoofed when a 5 yard pass up the line was easier and we give the ball away far too often as well as silly free kicks in dangerous areas. Size and Perry were superb and the blonde Blackpool defender Barker was tremendous and one to buy once our millionaires boat finally docks ;-) Shocking ground and far over the top reaction by the stewards and police during the first half incident. Had a good chat with some Blackpool and Saints fans in Weatherspoons a good weekend just a shame about the performance.

The Real Culprit Could Still Be Out There

I used to drink there regularly as from memory it used to have nice little alcoves where you could get really intimate with your lady without anyone bothering you. I can vaguely remember that happening as they had the big white van outside the pub for a while. -

Its always beating the Skates. Dec 21 2003 Saints 3 Pompey 0 was a great occasion and I left the stadium full of Christmas spirit and optimism...since then apart from Pearson getting lucky on the last day of last season ;-) its been pretty crap ever since! I jumped for joy at Burley coming and was severely kicked in the nuts by his lack of wanting to be here and his mental decision making or lack of. Nowadays its very hard to stay full of hope and optimism with the 3 wise monkeys we have running the club. It will be a long time until we can be optimistic again as we will not be ready until all are banished and we have hit rock bottom. -
I am sure it will be immaculately observed like that at QPR for Ray Jones.

The fans....its our fault when we lose so it must be down to us when we win !
