  1. I have seen that posted a couple of times and didn't believe it ...here is a post from Um Pahars that goes someway to disprove the fact they kept there side together. um pahars um pahars is online now Full Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 5,559 Default Quote: Originally Posted by Professor View Post So Pearson would have got the players in the Saints squad to play better.......fantasy land I'm afraid... 2. As many of us didn't like the Dutch revolution but still supported the team what makes you think we wouldn't again? Many of us just want a club.
  3. Thanks for taking the time to research that and it sort of backs up what I was trying to say far better than quotes from newspapers/blogs. His stats prove that he is bloody useless yet we still have people on here saying give him another chance.....why? He can't cut it, he may be a nice guy and charm his way through life but as a manager he has a shocking record. He will state the bleeding obvious and add all the fan friendly rhetoric that some will swallow but look at his record proves he is useless. To move on we need better managers than him, we need to recognise in this club that its the most important role here not the chairman. Forest recognised this and stayed up...we appointed Wotte and look what happened. Ok money was non-existant but not that bad we could appoint 4 Dutchmen, put 2 good coaches on gardening leave and waste 7 loan players wages and agent fees. Move over Wotte and let someone in who can get us back up.
  4. But one article isnt from fans though is it - also I have a whole seasons evidence to base my views on. Wotte isn't good enough to get us back up, I want us to shoot a lot higher and fed up with just picking second best, Gray, Wigley, Dodd/Gorman, JP so why for once can't we get someone in who will do a decent job. Many shot down Billy Davies, Neil Warnock, Blackwell and Fat Sam......all kept their clubs up and improved last season. We ended up with 2 dutch jokers and may want one still here unbelievable.
  5. I think loads of managers could of kept us up...why...because not many would of continued with a stupid 1 up front for 25 games!!! Wotte was here from the start of the season he was part of the championed management team and not here just from January. He was part of the setup that bought in 7 shocking loans. As for his Dutch career here are 2 articles that prove otherwise as to highly regarded. http://netherlands.worldcupblog.org/1/feyenoord-where-did-it-go-wrong.html Someone appointed former youth player Mark Wotte as technical director. Why? Nobody knows. Wotte was a mediocre coach at mediocre clubs. Didn’t have any management experience at all. Still, he was in charge of building a new Feyenoord, with Ruud Gullit. I don’t know how many players came from how many different countries, but at the end of the day, Wotte/Gullit failed. Miserably. Ebi Smolarek was told to leave (he went to Borussia Dortmund where he had a sensational season), http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/dutch-manager-lined-up-by-saints-520362.html Sources say Wotte was unpopular at Feyenoord and some at the club were happy to see him go. He has been blamed for their failings, with many of the players he has brought in not living up to expectation. Wotte is not regarded as a coach of any great ability but will fit into the structure planned by Lowe and Woodward.
  6. I am sure they will have plenty that will if/when ours does.
  7. But we all know he has several hundred million BUT we have to be self sufficient according to Pinnacle....why cant you or anyone accept that as fact? No-one is expecting masses of millions of investment so why post that? You moaned when we heard nothing, moan when we do ....would they have got this far in DD with the administrator if they didn't have 2 brass farthings? I fully expect Lallana, McGoldrick, Surman and Schneiderling to be sold.....that may not be due to no money but just down to them wanting to play higher standard, agents and more wages but there will still be loads like you on here who will use that as a stick to beat Pinnacle with.
  8. As voted by Hart ? Beckham was brilliant for me and his range of passing was superb. Ok it was Andorra but we still had some who were absolute crap didn't we Theo.....Crouch....
  9. Manager definately not....Chairman of Football...no problem.
  10. David Pleat, Ron Atkinson ( although blotted his copybook) are 2 more examples of decent managers though 19...guess we will have to agree to diagree on this.
  11. The point I am making is that football pundits can make decent managers.... fck me how difficult was that to reason out pretty simples really and read it again and see where I was saying MON wasn't a good manager that was the fcking point jeesh!
  12. So the continued use of the word pikey decribing Crouch by Lowe luvvies was reasonably respectful?
  13. So did that make him a bad manager before or after because according to 19C pundits dont make good managers? If he was abad manager before why did they choose him...he hasn't done bad since 2006.
  14. So Martin O'Neill who did a great job as a pundit for the BBC in 2006 isn't a good manager? I thought Niall Quinn did a good job at Sunderland considering where they were when he took over...sometimes Nineteen you do not do yourself any favours do you.
  15. Why he's had his 2 goes...so has Wilde whereas Crouch has only had 1 so its his turn. He wont have to do much to equal their disasters will he?
  16. According to SSN this morning Shearer is off to WBA
  17. Yep just passed the ambulance station - opposite side of road about 2 roads up.
  18. I read somewhere it was 2m.
  19. Thanks, but I was also concerned that Weston Saint had a call saying the same thing. PS Edit sorry mis read it oday, 12:30 PM Weston Saint's Avatar Weston Saint Weston Saint is offline Full Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Weston, or there abouts. I just shrugged it off as these sorts of rumours will happen until the deal is sorted. The signs are still encouraging as far as I am concerned.
  20. So who played a narrow diamond formation? Who selected Morgan to play right wing? Who was part of a selection that bought in 7 crappy loans? Yes he had limited team to select but they were his tactics and never had a plan B. He was here all season and triumphed as part of the management team not just when JP went. Why do we always have to settle for mediocrity?
  21. This is a cut&paste from it although its fromm BBC and I think its a wind up just wanted a bit more confirmation from you as Weston Saint also said he had heard this. Ted Rogers, Winchester says... 11:01am Thu 4 Jun 09 Ted Rogers wrote: Bad news re. Pinnacle Take over, they have put the brakes on having uncovered info during due diligence. Not in a position now to employ anyone at SFC. Pinnacle did not pay £500k, that was a figure mooted in the media and widely accepted by most. This deal is faltering - fact. Has no deal ever fallen out of bed because matters cannot be agreed upon? Do not think that this is a simple case of dotting i's and crossing t's;Pinnacle were given preferential treatment over the Jackson consortium on a set of verbal commitments and the involvement of MLT. You will soon witness the collapse of this deal due to 'irreconcilable difference'
  22. Did you see BBC thread ...can you confirm/deny this thread about bid failing
  23. Then there was McQueens up by the coffee shop with Gay Robin and his Elton glasses.... Yep I think you are right about Gill Bros they did so well on Kingsland Market they opened several shops.
  24. With patch pockets? trevira style? I liked Sydneys in St Marys Rd but a bit more expensive or Phillips in East St. Sorry not Saints related.
