Have the football league stated we CANT appeal
Give it to Ron replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
So are you saying TL is lying or not...he states quite categorically that the FL say we can't. Come on don't come out with bull about Wilde...do you believe that TL is lying? -
Have the football league stated we CANT appeal
Give it to Ron replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=13993 I have met every condition within the Football Leagues own rules, and thus should be allowed the right to an appeal after our takeover is complete, should I wish to take that action. doesn't this point to the fact we can't? -

Email campaign to expose what the slithery snake Mawhinney has done
Give it to Ron replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
Where have you been hiding all these years...have you not seen what happened at Leeds? Luton did try and take them on and got slaughtered. Bournemouth were another example of a club that the FL treated pretty badly. The last paragraph says it all for me....that is the reason why these rules are in existance to prevent that. Nowhere here am I am saying I agree with them and believe we should be able to appeal where I differ is the fact that I can see why the FL say no. Have you ever sat before any football league committee? I have 4 different ones in totally different leagues and ALL are a law to themselves and make decisions that suit. I have been at managers meetings where the committe has decided to change laws there and then ...not at the AGM. Clubs that want to play in that league have to abide by that decision as they elected the members of the committee. -
Its on GM's organ monkey thread.
-
Don't forget there are a few old favourites who would gain from everyone falling on their arse and dropping out. Then a white kight steps forward who doesnt quite have as much as anyone else but no debt.....but saves the day and also stands to make a big profit if we go up. I have seen one of their supporters post a 'secret' on here recently why now when I know he must of been told that ages ago? There are some big games being played out on here. Have a look at GM's posts some of that rings true....

has just been released from coaching Liverpool academy after a 'restructure' we could do far worse by re-employing him as he did an excellent job here before. Well that is if we have a club in the FL next year.

Email campaign to expose what the slithery snake Mawhinney has done
Give it to Ron replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
Will the other 91? clubs in the Football League start an email campaign to Mawinney about the snake that tried to slither through the back door of its rules? Ok say we win what are the repercussions of this....the FL will be taken to court by every club that has had a penalty imposed. Everytime we come up in front of them in the future we will get slaughtered. The FL makes up its own rules as it goes along everyone knows this and if you want to play in their league you HAVE to accept that. -
Russian mail order bride?
-
Agreed he did say that then...but now it seems they have decided they have withdrawn that and if we don't like it then we don't have to play in their league. Sorry if that sounds too simple but this is the FL who don't want to be shown up to be wrong so have denied us the opportunity to do this..we have no choice. What about the repercussions if we win....the next time one of our players or club have trouble in the ground or break any minor reggulation we will have double the usual penalty. Sorry this stinks of something else.
-
Who would pay? Why would Fry if he had MJ and Swiss consortium willing to take the 10 point penalty if it meant them getting the club.
-
If they are risking all this on an appeal they may even lose - and history tells us they will then sorry there is more to this than that. This is not new..it happens in all sorts of football, an example not dissimilar of over zealous officialdom last year one boys team missed registration by a couple of days due to an admin oversight. The team were refused entry even after an appeal. The league would rather 14 boys not play than bend their rules. Everyone knows the rules and consequences and so did Pinnacle at the outset that we would in all likelihood start -10 to refuse to go ahead with the deal because of this is fishy to say the least.
-
Even risking getting gazumped?
-
Well it could also be done in 3 with the right investment and management team and they are as good as they say.
-
I criticised you the other day for your Money Walks post....I think now after today you are bang on the money. This 10 point thing stinks...Leeds had far more and this galvanised their support into a feeling of us against the world and so would be and if there was the money to spend as advised it would not be a worry. Our revenue stream would be in the top 5 in the division, in the next couple of years Pinnacle would see there investment recoup 5 fold with promotion and the credit crunch turned round. GM I apologise.
-
I bet the FL are shaing in their boots...they won't give a toss. It matters not a jot to them whether 15,000 fans are unhappy, livid or whatever. If Pinnacle don't want the deal then they can bugger off and let Saints die and they will promote someone from Blue square Conference. Its my ball and I am going home and there is bugger all you can do.....IMO there is more to this than 10 points.
-
Latest on Meridian wa s that they spoke to someone in Pinnacle 45mins ago and the FL are refusing to clarify the position/difference between SLH PLC and the football club even though we have asked several times today. Still hoping it will go through.

Thomson, Paterson and Boyle sign new deals
Give it to Ron replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
Small, tricky, lots of promise but very lightweight. -
I hated Strachan before he came here....after many years of watching him as a player winding up others - moaning - getting at refs etc....exactly the same as Ince. Groaned when he took over.....jumped for joy when we got Burley.....think we all should just wait and see what unfolds. Personally at the moment I just want the deal done and worry about the rest later.

I can undrstand Armstrong and Trevor Mitchell not getting on ;-)

Interviewed Mick Channon on tv at Ascot earlier he said that KK never mentioned anything about it a couple of days ago when he spoke to him. He followed that up with well everything about this deal is a secret and he really hoped it all came off and what a great club this is. You could see the love for this club shine through in the interview.
