  1. Aren't we all disappointed....my nipper and I couldn't eat for hours we both felt so sick which is a rarity! We do need pace and width as you mentioned in your post and one of my boyhood heroes was Sydie who I had the great fortune to play against in a charity game years later and was totally tongue tied. If by the end of September we are not above the relegation zone then there will be loads more of anti AP posts - I just hope there aren't. I don't think we will be above that zone till December personally.
  2. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=16308 Was the reason I stated that but since you have posted you want AP to stay so I must of misread your tone in your ...not good enough posts. My main issue here is that we are not giving him time to turn this round before the negative posts on here. Some always look for the negative and not the positive...some say no improvement but there was as we got a point yesterday whereas we lost the previous 2 away games!
  3. Yeah like starting a new thread when they don't agree with your point of view....oh hold on a minute!
  4. Are you sure about that??? So Barclays and Aviva didn't get a penny if the debt was wiped away? My gosh there was me thinking it was the creditors who had a say in what was accepted with Fry.
  5. So come on DD give us your opinion on what AP is doing wrong and why he hasn't managed to turn things round in such a short time? Ipswich and Keane haven't managed a win yet with all their resources compared to others in the CCC so why would Saints do this in League One?
  6. Yet another dummy spitter.....as expected.
  7. Ok for the 3rd time I AM NOT HAPPY WITH 3 POINT FROM 5 GAMES.....is that clear enough for you!! I do not think its what many of us wanted or expected but this club was in such a state that we even had to bring in a new scouting network as it was a shambles. I am not totally convinced by Pardew and have heard from sources that he loves himself too much BUT its far too early after 5 games to expect him to turn round this wounded animal of a football club. I have seen improvement in the squad and play in recent games but then again I am looking for it and want us to do well unlike some on here that revel in our failure. Some on here only want to say "I told you so" in some sort of cyber gloating session rather than look at the bigger picture. Just so its clear for the 4th time I am not happy with 3 points but I am willing to give hime more than 5 games unlike some.
  8. So you are saying Pardew is failing to deliver , but cant offer an alternative. If this is a public forum why are you taking umbridge when all I am questioning is your IMO ridiculous opinion that Pardew is expected to do this in 5 games?
  9. Read my posts FFS where have I said that I am? So you want Pardew sacked...answer the fcking question?? Who do you want in as replacement that can turn us around in 5 matches??
  10. So we haven't improved the team, performances on the pitch? The results have not come yet......so come on give us the solution and the quick fix. So you want Pardew sacked then as he is not delivering after 5 games!
  11. So come on what is the solution? Sack the manager? Charlton are being hailed as the beacon yet Parkinson has had 6 months including losing 20 games or so yet some are calling for his head after 5!!! Throw money at the team.....many wanted Roy Keane...he is doing brilliantly at Ipswich isn't he! Where in any of my posts do I say I expect every one to be happy its just I refuse to join the band of wrist slitters after 5 games and when we are in August FFS!!
  12. So what happened to the positive Alpine who posted after the Birmingham game " I can go back to Austria on Thursday knowing we are heading in the right direction"? Don't tell me you are jumping on the bandwagon of doom and gloom merchants? Yes its very disappointing and most are absolutely gutted but we are turning it all round.
  13. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=16236 They nicked it from the Independant as posted by Art look at posts 10 and 30.
  14. Then he is achieving his goal.......put him on ignore or disregard everything he posts...works for me as I realised ages ago that was his game. He does not mean half of what he posts but knows it winds some up on here.
  15. Watched him quite a few times was like Bambi on ice - has progressed since leaving and we were 2 divisions higher and a big jump from Ressies to firsts.
  16. I have had knee problems for years....caused by hit and run drunk driver and years of football! Had 4 arthroscopies and finally 3 months ago had half a knee replaced. If you need the name of a good private knee specialist PM me and will pass on the details of a very good one who has finally sorted mine out. Private cost 10k though!!!
  17. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day! Look at last season JPS aside can you name me another successful recruit? Forecast Gasmi Pulis Peckhardt Molyneux Robertson
  18. No he does not have blistering pace but he was hampered after getting injured being lazy where he chased back 20 yards to try and retrieve a pass from a colleague that was intercepted. It looked like he jarred his thigh muscle. Bring back Brett Ormerod...who needs a 20 goal a season striker when we can have players chase all over the pitch with bugger all quality.
  19. Are you blind? He won everything in the air...he was that lazy they had to bring 2 players to mark him! His through ball to Paterson was superb....what is this fixation some have with headless chickens. The bloke leads the line superbly and links up play and brings others into the game. Football is a game of opinions jeesh but how you come to that conclusion totally baffles me!
  20. Not quite...Mellis was in front of Murty and looked far better and comfortable there. It seemed to work very well. Lallana is forging a great partnership with Harding on the left IMO.
  21. I posted on the other thread I met McLeish up at Old Trafford the other week when he was attending a managers meeting - he spent ages having a chat and posed for a great picture with my nipper. I asked him about Jaidi and his first words were he was signing for us. He told me he still needed him but his legs were not up to the Prem anymore - there guy at the back tonight was immense so cant see they need him as much as us ;-) Fingers crossed he will sign and not just taking in a game of his old team.
  22. Ball came out to Carr who hit it and during his follow through he caught Murty who was closing him down. Carr not at fault but as pointed out on other thread had the ref done his job properly it wouldnt of happened as it would of been or free kick for a foul on Lallana a minute earlier.
  23. What a tackle Mellis put in on him though - rock solid block tackle - brilliant to see a young lad not scared to get stuck in it was clean and won the ball fair and square.
  24. Yep we did go deeper and failed to push out for the second goal but we did push on and have a go and didnt just sit back. Had we got that elusive second goal I think we would of gone on to win. Murty going not only loses us a full back but someone with superb positional play and experience.
  25. Nothing to do with the disruption to the midfield and defence with Murty off and James to right back?
