Here you go again I can't grasp the fact....yet you are the one who is ignoring the fact that I suggested 2 alternatives to Pardew if it doesn't work out!!! Yes I do believe that Pardew will deliver the goods because quite frankly he hasn't been given enough time yet to think anything else and anyone who thinks he has is a complete moron!
-
Why do you keep saying I am this and am that....its complete ******** its that I don't agree with you and that you cannot handle a different opinion. Stop telling me what I am and discuss the issue.....you think AP is crap after 10 games....I think he has shown vast improvement on what we had and the situation he had to take over in. You did not answer the question...why is it going to be difficult to bring in a DOF given that both have agreed in principle.
-
You didn't but John B did and thats where you are getting confused....if you read back through you will see al those points made. As for who has decided on this board ...go back to 46# case proved.
-
Why are you ignoring what Cortese and AP have publicly stated they are in favour of? Both have said in the right circumstances they are in favour..... We also have 2 members of Pardews team that are ex-managers of teams far higher than what JP/Wigley/Gray managed at before taking over so we can get the continuity you want and Pardew gone.
-
Nowhere did I post that he did....what he actually said was keeping on Wotte which I find absurd with his record yet complains that AP is not getting results after how many games? Why and where does it say that AP cannot be sacked - you do not get where they are in business by not taking action. I find it absurd that people suggest keeping on a proven failure yet haven't given the new guy more than ten games before deciding he is and in the same breath talk about continuity - can you not see that? How can you talk about Wotte and continuity then state that we cannot sack AP?
-
£195 seems cheap....is the MA setting you up with insurance? Is the mortgage advisor tied to the building society you will get the mortgage from? What I meant was lets look at the Nationwide. http://www.nationwide.co.uk/mortgages/newcustomers/firsttimebuyer/variableinterestrates.htm The Standard rate is less than the rate you will pay - but if rates go up? with an election coming up I can see it being poltical suicide for Labour to see them rise way above 4.95% in the next 2 years though. Do you think you will recoup the £195 set up fee within the 2 years is what I am trying to say. I am not a mortgage advisor but own my own home....almost. May be worth looking through here and asking advice http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=15

How much are the setting up / admin fees? Depends how much the mortgage is for and if you will save from the standard rate. Solicitor fees can vary immensley.....ring round and get a few quotes - also speak to a few mates about who they used as a bad one can cost you loads in delays etc.

No I see things very clearly - you are totally off your rocker! Wotte was a complete failure who was here a whole pre-season and then had the season to get things right. He failed abysmally bringing in 7 pathetic loans into the bargain yet you think he should of been kept on! Thats not ability in thinking clearly that seeing that idea for what it is - mental! Nowhere have I said we are playing well and am very disappointed with 1 win yet I can clearly see signs of us getting things right. I believe once we get that -10 monkey off our back things will get better. Your refusal to see that things have improved since AP took over astounds me but given your post about Wotte I don't know why.
-
So you think Wotte would of done a better job despite getting us relegated? You think Wotte would of accepted a DOF despite him filling that role and doing bugger all to help JP? You criticise AP yet think Wotte had good results? I sometimes wonder if I live on the same planet....you go on about continuity yet talk about Pardew being ineffective who has had 10 games here and lost 2 yet had poor results!
-
There you are Delldays....your answer in post 46 to no-one is calling for AP to be sacked. You can't use that one anymore. Mind you he is aso pathetic he can't get his facts right ...no goals from open play.....what about Hardings goal? Lallana at Charlton? Some moan we never score from corners, set plays...personally I don't give a rats arse how we score as long as we do.

Arsenal 'Youth' style policy...
Give it to Ron replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Hattie can play Sol he can lend her a dress....must have one that fits Kenneth can play Oh Calamity.... -
We need to get a few out first - at the forum AP said this to Nicola that we need to trim down our squad of professional reserves.
-
Strachan may want to get back into football....would he join a club in such turmoil - no facilities, no money, no points and sully his reputation after Celtic? I amsure he will roll back into football soon but can't believe it will be the other end of the M27 - remember the bookies stopped taking bets on Keegan and WGS here.

Arsenal 'Youth' style policy...
Give it to Ron replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Pompey have been ramping up their youth and academy set up recently and had a big recruitment drive in the Tyro etc. Their coaches have been trolling through nearly all big six-a-side comps throughout the summer and at several league games in the last few years. -
I am sure it has been mentioned on here before that he was unwell. I remember a boxing Day game at The Dell against Coventry and we were 2 down.....we got one back and Moore came up with a bullet header for the equaliser. A very under rated player IMO.

So, why DID Mark Fry prefer Pinnacle over Liebherr?
Give it to Ron replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
We were never going to keep McG though as he had made it quite clear he wanted to return to his family in Nottingham. Surman agreed may have been a different kettle of fish as AP I believe would of talked him into staying like AL. What I can't forgive is the false hope he gave us and all the rubbish spouted about the 10 points just to buy time when all along we had a better deal in the wings who so nearly walked away. So far Markus, Cortese, Oldknow and Luker have not put a foot wrong and I have loved being just able to talk about football. Monday night was absolutely superb to listen to AP and Nicola talking so refreshingly and professionally. No matter how much MLT did on the pitch there is no way Pinnacle would of been as good for us and you TL should hang your head in shame for being involved in this farce and as bad as that photocopier salesman wannabe. -
That is why I find him so frustrating, when he plays for the Ressies and not just against the likes of Salisbury but against other clubs decent players he has had some absolute blinders on the right wing. He has left some players standing with his pace - I have seen him beat 2 or 3 players get to the dead ball line and cross really well. When he gets in the first team he looks like a rabbit stuck in the headlights of an oncoming 40footer......nowhere near the same player. He just cant seem to make the transition to the next level yet.

My first away game was Skates v Saints when I was about 7 or 8 and we won 5-2 we sat amongst the 'hoards' of the unwashed and jumped up and down when every Saints goal went in. I started taking my daughter and nipper to reserves games when they were about 5 and they were hooked into Saints like me. Now they have a ST and even talked me into renewing when I was faltering after 40 years last season. My lad is Saints mad and gets even more angry than I do when we lose! As for the swearing.....they laugh at me sometimes when I get carried away at the man in black/green/blue but they know what happens at SMS stays in SMS.
-
So I see that you totally ignore the fact that AP fully checked him out before signing him then! Bugger me you won't accept the fact that the previous regime fcked us up big time will you! Now lets discuss the 7 crap loans last season...on second thoughts don't bother as you never go how would you know what they are like anyway.

It was a very good evening where Lawrie gave up his time to present awards to youngsters in the Test Valley area who had completed various levels of the DoE award. Lawrie was very attentive and assisted the handicap and showed a lot of care for them...this was not an attention seeking 'look at me' but genuine care you could see it clearly. Lawrie then gave a speech which at times was very amusing, there was an air of sadness in his voice when mentioning Ball and Osgood. He spoke of his schoodays, Bobby Robson, Doncaster, Grimsby and England, he told some stories about Sir Alf Ramsey that Bally had told him, about Gascoigne and a psychiatrist. He spoke about drugs and smoking and a 16 year old that could of made it and was fantastic but went off the boil and when they investigated he was on drugs was kicked out and disappeared out of football as a warning to the kids there. Loads more, to be honest I felt it was a bit too much 'I achieved this' but he was trying to show examples of what can be achieved by hard work and the youngsters had shown that in getting these awards. Just for NC....he doesn't go anymore as he has to pay for a ticket! I have 2 thoughts on this....yes there are too many hangers on in the club and game in the previous regimes and its great to see no politics now. Do we turn our back on the only manager who has won us something and gave this club something in history and some silverware? Would dear old Ted have to buy a ticket now? I have no doubt that Lawrie has an ego the size of Snowdon but he has worked hard, been there and done that to earn that ego IMO.
-
I am attending a function tonight that he is giving the prizes at I will send him your love NC ;-)
-
Well as he has played football in this country for 5 years he may just have learnt a word or two.

Saints Forum on Solent - Tonight
Give it to Ron replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
A couple of things in response - he did say that KD was also the best captain he had seen at any club he has been at, so why not say what he did as why take it away from the best 'club' captain? I got the impression he has spoken to KD and explained why he wants an 'on the pitch' captain so that will change as well due to injuries, suspensions and form. Why does a manager have to control things like fines? Surely empowering the players or captain to do it gives them more of self-discipline? I believe it was also mentioned that AP gets involved if there are 2 or 3 occurences so he is aware of whats happening and IMO take action if required. But to go forward you have to realise exactly what you have already? Last season we had enough cases of players joining that we didn't need and didn't recruit what was desperate for instead of like Forecast. Until he understands whether we are a team of lightweights, kickers or ball players he cant take action and get an identity. I think it was easier to be in the room as there was a lot to be gained from facial expressions, body language and aura coming from the top table that would address some of yourfears - they did mine. -
KD will still officially be captain, but on the pitch on matchday there will be one closer to the action to help when players are starting to get involved in trouble etc. I agree with above it will be Hammond.
